Had this game on the PSP back in the day and picked it up again a few years ago. This is probably one of the better Monkey Ball games all things considered because the party games were great and the story mode was fun and had a decent plot. I just wish the controls weren’t awful. I have considered picking this game up for the GameCube and that version does seem to play a lot more smoothly.
Once again, we have a game that was clearly lead developed on ps2 from the start. With gamecube picking up the slack which is a shame considering the other monkey ball titles on ngc. But this was infact made by Traveller's tales and not sega, only published by them. Psp looks pretty good considering its handheld. Definitely the weakest entry of the series during that time.
Watching the gameplay test in this was awful 😂 the controls aren’t great, but the player that recorded these are def at fault for missing that many times

PS2 looks better than GC for some reason. This will annoy most nintenerds
Even with other games this is true. Even though the GC is more powerful they seem to leave it out. Also, the GC never got games like Burnout 3.
