I hear what you're saying about 'getting lost' and avoiding 'touristy stuff' however I do think seeing a country's historic sites, landmarks, and monuments is equally important and not all that bad. I visited Oaxaca 2 years ago and found myself on a tour of Hierve el Agua which was super beautiful with breathtaking views, I also made a friend who I'm in touch with to this day on that tour of the touristic site. My travel advice would be to do whatever the hell you want :)
Oaxaca is stunning. if you follow that road by the amphitheater it leads to an amazing hike with some of the best veiws of Oaxaca. theres also another amazing hike at mount alban , its hidden at the back of the parking lot where the buses let you off..its stellar. . out of the 27 cities ive been to in mexico, Oaxaca city is my favorite. Enjoy
hey man thanks for the comment, i agree Oaxaca in stunning! In the next video i take a tuk tuk to monte alban and see the hidden mona statue and check out some of the views from the mountain and then go to an area where people get linched for crimes! fun video :)

Congrats hitting 1k subscribers bro! I recommend to make more videos per week not just one (if you want and can do of course) because i wait so long for the next video and it gets boring. I think your fans new viewers including me will agree with this! Its ok whatever you choose, up to you! Im looking forward to your next videos and adventures especially those in South Korea!( And Asia in general). Supporting from Greece!
That is a fantastic idea and something i've been thinking about! On my next trip i will be filming a lot of videos so i am considering a video every 3-4 days. Thanks for your feedback i really appreciate it mate !!
12:32 Juarez was the president during the Cinco de Mayo battle against France. He is the first and only president of indigenous background who came from nothing in a small town in oaxaca, overcame discrimination and became possibly the best president in Mexicos history. His face is on the $500 pesos bill. Good video
It felt like dusk lasted for ages. I was panicking for you up the mountain, but you had time to get down, have drink with locals, wax a moose, throw sandwiches in a lake etc. Very entertaining watch!
Dusk did last a very long time now you mention it and i'm glad it entertained you. Btw, if you haven't yet seen my videos from South Korea i'd recommend those, as i'm going there in April and the videos will be uploaded after my American series! ;)
That looked sketchy but the locals seemed nice. Beautiful views. You are very well travelled however I travel on my own sometimes and was always adviced to never tell people you meet who ask are you on your own. Always tell them no my friend is back at the hotel having a rest or something like that. You are safer if the bad people think you are traveling with someone. Because that means someone who would notice you missing and bring heat onto them quicker. Never trust anyone completely. You never really know although your gut instinct with the tattoo guys was probably right. Loving this Mexico series.
I like that, better to be safe than sorry! I've got some videos from NYC to upload and went to the hood in Harlem but in the future when i explore 'dangerous' i'll remember to tell people i'm traveling with someone else!! Glad you're loving it!! :)
Yes defo a good idea especially in dangerous areas. For instance the guys you sat and drank with. Now if you had said no I'm with a friend but he was too tired to hike up this hill. They would know that not only are you with someone that person knows where you have gone to and will be expecting you back at a certain time. So a little white lie could really help keep you safe if these guys were bad news. They are more likely to go for an easy target who's on their own and wouldn't be missed for some time. I'm trying to get through all your videos will be watching the American ones soon. Really enjoyed all of them so far fantastic content. I really think your channel is going to do very well 🤞
