You never explained why Knight to f3 doesn't work. It stops the king from moving the two end pawns and also sets up a potential fork on the pass pawn. Even then the king is close enough to take the pawn so that works.
Plot Twist: Patzer Prison would allow people to get out if they solved difficult puzzles. Peter and Joe escape and try to find Bobby, but when they try to find him at the Bridge To Nowhere, Bobby’s on his way to Cloud City
@@prerakgames4668 Maybe the puzzle itself is wrong and it's missing a pawn in some random out of the way location which makes all the difference (It's happened before. I started playing chess a week ago but now I'm stuck at 890 elo. I just can't get past 900. What can I do to improve? I feel like my main problem is that I don't know what to do after getting in a winning position. I have a lot of games where I end up playing an inaccuracy or a blunder because I don't know what move I should do. I actually blunder a lot. I blunder like 2-6 times per match. I usually resign after my opponent takes 2 pieces. After learning the caro kann I won almost every match with black but I lose a lot with white. For some reason when I play white I blunder all my pieces after getting a winning position.
That's not at all how en passant works. I recommend that you read about en passant elsewhere, as UA-cam comments are not a great medium for explaining the thing.
Why is the rook worth 2 point more than a bishop and a bishop pair worth only 1 point more than a rook when all ending i had r vs b were drawable by stockfish and the bishop pair vs rook ones winning?
Bishop pair vs rook is winning? That's really hard for me to believe. If the side with the rook can capture either bishop, then the side with the bishops can't win.
Chess challenge idea: Communist chess Basically your pieces aren’t fed well enough so they’ll starve. The only way they can’t starve is if they capture a piece. Pawns can go 5 moves without starving. Knights and bishops can go for 10 moves. Rooks can go for 15. And the queen can go for 20 moves. Kings are always full (unless you want a challenge where your king has a hunger bar, in this case, 22.) If a piece is desperate, it can eat their own pieces but it has to be on the move before they are starved. Martin’s pieces are always fed so they are always full.
I'm really loving this series. But with all the fantasy themes going on, yet all the puzzles stay traditional chess puzzles... You know, I love that, but I feel like this series has potential to do some "fairy chess" puzzles, or do some retrograde analysis puzzles like from Raymond Smullian's books.
