It’s hard to do it with fake nails bc I think ur supposed to use mostly the tip of ur finger and ur nail and since our nails r in the way it’s hard to do that
heres two tips guys 1.when ur making the star dont press on the paper bc if u do it will be hard to inflate it using ur thumb 2.when ur making the knot/putting the last step ,dont make it so tight bc when u inflate , ur whole start will fall apart then Happy star-making!
Tips for making those: Press down on the paper after you do the not, while rapping the star don't press the paper hard or it will stay flat, I suggest to pinch the corners to make the Stars instead of using your nails it will make it more puffed. Hope these tips are useful! I always used to have flat stars but not anymore!

Here are the slight frustrations I have encountered when making these paper stars and how to try to avoid them :) Make sure your paper strip is even and not big. Idk, I've tried big strips and I can't exactly make a star out of large strips yet. Puff them up a little. As in don't wrap them too tight but tight enough to see the shape. Either cut the tail or fold it if the end won't go into a pocket. I do not recommend using card stock 💀. You do not need nails for this btw, just press the sides :) Not every star will be perfect but I accept the odds. Use thick colored sheets or drawing sheets
I use normal paper just dont pull on it too hard
Just use A4 size paper thats best

The hardest part is puffing them out cause I have fake nails
That makes it easier depending on the length. Stick your nail in the little spots to push them in and it’ll puff out
