the magnet should fit into the ship! Seeing the magnet plate totaly kills the immersion.
Man it's just typical cost cutting. Only fans do it right, not companies that count only money and costs.......

mediakits being better than anything in the market is shamefull
More of a shame how press kits have such nice looking designs and actual thought put into them whereas the CEs and Limited Editions consumers get are just generic editions put into a standard box with your generic paraphernalia.

@Gaming With Balance - The reason is likely cost of production vs number of recipients. Fewer people (the press) means they can pour more money into making it look good while the millions who buy CE's mean they have to make it more cheaply to make it cost effective. It's also indirect bribery with press-kits as it makes the product and publisher memorable which may indirectly make a reviewer have a more positive subconscious spin on their review and thus more potential sales, while the tat in CE's won't translate into sales and ends up in a few unboxing vids before being relagated to the desk or shelf of the owner's choosing. This obviously varies by game and publisher but this is a broad observation I've made of it.
Why does the media need those overated editions of the game if the just have to criticize about the game and not the media kit :/

It's to boost future sales of games. So companies can make more $$$ on Pre-Orders because they don't want people to wait until the game is released. Just looks at the past games (Fallout 4, COD, Mass Effect Andromeda , Destiny 1+2, etc) they all have special Collector editions that sell out in 1-2days. The pre-order alone is $$$ in the bank (whether the game is good or not, they don't care they have your $$$). Them showing us now is basically a slap in the face (This is what you could have gotten).
The end result is: do you shell out $200+ for the collector's edition or wait to see if the game is any good??
