i suspect someone had pointed out something and claimed you missed a fish. I do enjoy your sarcasm. I really like your videos. I rarely get to fish anymore but you have given me a new perspective regarding catfishing. Thanks.
Lol . Poles practically bent in half and the man says i think we have a bite . lol . Man some of the things you say are hilarious . Love your videos Dave .
He used to do it from the bank too but I guess he's done with that. I'm 41 fished all my life except a few years only been in a boat a handful of times and for some reason just don't feel the urge to fish out of one. I figure I would spend most of my time wasting gas trying to find that better spot. Truthfully I just think catfishing was meant to be done from the bank in the shade with a buddy and an ice chest full of frosty barley pops. I cut that last part out several years ago but it did make things a lot more interesting.
Catfish Dave you are the man no doubt! Love your channel man can't get enough. Thank you for all you do brother. Your friend from Maryville Tennessee. When you taking me fishing 😂
A blind man could see those bites. LOL! I have really been enjoying your videos Catfish Dave. You are very smart too. You know a lot about operating your boat and probably know how to tie a bunch of different knots. You appear old school but then one realizes you know how to use your smartphone and camera ap and how to edit and post videos. It looks like you are so good at catfishing it would get boring. Do you knight fish? Fish the banks for bass or other game fish? Are you retired? You have a wonderful life Dave. You really do. Keep on doing what makes you happy and other people happy watching you.
I've also noticed you've been doing this for a long time but the way you put your rod down cross ways on your boat and grab the loop on your net then grab the rod the same time coming out of the water with the fish, The same way everything 👌.Works perfectly and never no problem.
Yep, he has solo landing large fish down to an art form. I appreciate his set-up in general, with rod placement and a no frills boat that is perfect for doing the type fishing he does. A live bait well might be a good addition, but space would be compromised.
I hope it's a fish. Or else your skipjack came back to life. In Michigan bank fishing, it could be your live bluegill getting nervous when a Flathead is nearby. When Dave is tired of catching Blues he needs to come to Michigan, during football season. It is a great time to catch Flatheads. I hope I can catch a Flathead or 2 this weekend before the start spawning here.
Great videos. Taking the wife catfishing Monday and or Tuesday. Centerhill, Dale Hollow or Cordell Hull. Haven't flipped the coin yet. Which would you consider if you lived near these options. Keep up the awesome work. 👌
lol. Keeping a good sense of humor a the tail end of the spawn sized catfish on dag gum hard to find skipjack. That a way Dave. And you scored a couple of dandys. Moby Dick is just around the next bend.

Biggest blue I ever caught was 18lbs. On a red and white Berkeley spinner bait. At the lake George jetty on the south side. Set the hook and thought jeepers finally got a 10lb bass.
Hey Dave where you from in fla? What made start watching you was you mentioned ft lousy. I lived in kville about 86 or 87 and fished that lake and Norris and the clinch River. Worked for Dean stallings Ford, fixing ferds. I've lived in fla since 92 on the st. John's river.
Do you ever use Catawba Worms when they become available around July 1st? Here in the Rivers and lakes of Carolina, Santee, The Bite is fast when using them.
Have you ever tried the teechtrees bouys rivers in Louisiana cause have been seeing a lot of mega sized blues and flatheads being caught here in last month that are in recorded setters in sixty plus pounders here it might be worth coming to try it out near Franklin Louisiana areas
i watch you datch that 3rd fish, and was asking myself , "How did he know?"....... great video by the way. just found your channel and have really enjoyed the content
It’s crazy how people hold up a fish like that and think it’s not a good fish. Maybe you catch so many big ones that the 30-40’s are not so exciting idk. I live in northern Illinois and I would be stoke to see a fish like that. I still have a lot to learn but we don’t see fish like that every day up here.
@@bigdank7789 I don't fish with worms personally, unless it's a rubber worm for bass. I don't think worms work too well in dirty water, you need some oily fish generally. Creek chubs would be way better than worms. Dave is suspend and drag fishing, he is not anchor fishing with Carolina rigs.
Some of the ones you think are bites, if there ain't a fish on the end of it ,when you pull it in, it probably just ran into your line looking for his girlfriend. Plus I wonder how the fish know who you are/ Most people catch a lot of different fish , but you only catch catfish, you got any idea how they know it's you? Maybe they can smell you. or recognize your boat.
Dave, that is sublime. I’m pickin’ up what you’re puttin’ down.

That's amazing how you can look at the rod tip and tell if a fish is on it.
I've been fishing for 30 yrs .. I would ate some cheese saying that was a snag up .
Experience indeed catfish Dave 🤘👽
I may not be a smart man, but I know what a fish bite feels like!! love it!!

I thought your rod was haunted the way it was bouncing around. I would have never guessed that there was a fish on there,
"We may have a fish on this rod right here." [The rod that is about to bust in two?] [2:28]

I wonder what your fish finder of choice is?
So Catfish Dave!!!! I'm coming to Watts Bar Im Going to be Staying at the Euchee Marina im bringing my boat wanna catch some cat fish have any tips
Nice fish
Dave, what type of bait and rig do you recommend when going for the spawn size cats to put eaters in the boat?
same rigs, smaller bait, smaller hooks.
Half a worm or a 1-1.5 inch long piece of fish on there
@@bigdank7789 Dragging a worm is likely to get you any fish. That's a rig used for walleye.

It's not a fish bending your pole over. It's a dog hiding under the water 😂😂😂
What net do you have?
What did you put in your coffee?
Feisty fish!!!
