I had a close encounter with a Sasquatch on May 28,2010…7:10pm in the Allegheny National Forest here in PA. The sound this thing was making, approximately 30 yards away can only be described as a “roar”….I describe it as the sound that the T-Rex in Jurassic was making when chasing the vehicle. I could feel the bass reverberating in my chest and head. I have absolutely nothing to gain by writing this, I’m not exaggerating, I remember it like it happened yesterday. It’s not a question of “if” they exist, it’s now “what exactly are we dealing with”…..! I am one of thousands and thousands that have had an encounter, they are 100% real.

A beautiful spot WW and Thanks for sharing this adventure! Ive talked to a number of people over the year who have had encounters with Sasquatch or Bigfoot. One was my ex wife when she was in high school camping with friends at a state park in south western Pa. the area she was from as well. She awoke in the middle of the night and smelled a very strong musky odor, crawled outside her tent and stood on the near by trail. In a moment she was face to face with a large bipedal hairy creature. She said it’s eyes had an orange glow. It happened so fast and the creature just seemed to disappear. Not in a literal sense but very quickly. So fast was the experience that she wasn’t scared until afterwards. Another couple I knew were in the south west hiking in a canyon in the Four Corners area, I don’t remember the state. This large creature was throwing rocks down from above not to hit them, which would have been quite easy they told me but as a warning to leave, which they did. It wasn’t an area where there was hiking normally, more remote. Another man was with 3-4 friends in the Southwest and came across a large cave in a canyon. They walked back but only had a weak flashlight. He said the cave ceiling was high, perhaps 18-20 feet. About 16 14-16 feet up they spotted a pair of orange eyes. Indeed they got out of there pronto, as they heard very loud sounds they never encountered before. They never went back and if I recall they were looking for fossils and or geodes. So none of these folks had reason to make up stories, I trusted them all. So this is what I was told so take it as you may. There are so many sightings, trail cams, videos and stories and certainly some may well be contrived. But some are not. There are many honest folks who have nothing to gain from made up stories. My friends above rarely talked about their experiences or made them public in any way. I’ve seen UFOs in my years quite a few times and I know they were not the usual flying things we see any day or night. As most things we hear, there is an element of doubt until we ourselves experience it. Thanks Again WW! Perhaps one day you may see something you won’t be able to explain as you are Wondering. I will watch closely for your future Bigfoot episodes, Cliff. I believe they do exist, and are extremely talented at hiding and with life habits that make them almost undetectable. During your research did you try the simple approach of a UA-cam search? I entered "Bigfoot in Pennsylvania" did the search and found tons of information, much of which you might want to use. Continue your good work and be safe.

Hello cliff this is what I think I think there might have been a dear and a bear in the distance once again thank you for bringing this story to us love from upstate New York
That's a neat spot there. I was deterred by the posted signs when I was going to hike there. There's a trail further up the road the that goes to the top of the outcropping. As an aside. That posted trail goes all the way to Mont Alto campus
I envy ones who has access to land such as this. Where I live it's super flat, no rocks or anything "interesting". I would spend days and days exploring & disperse camp those areas. Interesting story... But I'm still at 85% saying Bigfoot doesn't exist.
The sound that he heard could have been a Bear, cougar, or coyote. Raccoons can growl and make a lot of noise also. The problem with proving big foot exists is with all of the hikers, hunters, and excavating of land they have never found that I know of a skeleton of one.
Hello, again, Cliff, I really liked your first 2 Bigfoot articles on UA-cam. I will be following to the end. Did you not mention that you may go looking for Bigfoot yourself? I can tell you have completed a lot of research on the subject and did some daylight hunting. As a source, have you conducted a UA-cam search by simply putting "Bigfoot in Pennsylvania" in the search box? You can then scroll through and very likely find even more locations, facts and information. There is a boat-load of articles, some much better than others, and some fringe areas, like Somerset County and thereabouts are covered, even with a low density of the animal(?). If it is an animal. I have given thought to looking for our quarry myself. From my hunting days I figure that the highest point of mountains one crests when you drive north on Goldmine Road, from Middlecreek Wildlife Area, is a promising area. At that spot is a game commission parking area for hunters. Following the trail to the west, it is readily observed that during the late fall a person can observe a very long distance into the woods down into the valley. Two things to watch out for there are large, deep foxholes dug by the Army when they held exercises there. They are camouflaged by dead leaves. The other hazard is the old air shafts from the underground mine tunnels. They are not protected and would be death traps if fallen into. I carry a walking stick and probe ahead in places where I can not see ground objects like rocks or roots. This is the eastern area of St. Anthony's Wilderness. I had given thought to conducting an overnight observation from a couple of miles west of the parking area. Unfortunately, I have a situation at home that will not permit that. I was going to try a couple of things I have observed on the TV program, "Expedition Bigfoot". Banging large sticks, whistles, loud guttural hoots and lights under a fake tent. And to have my camera ready (plus I would be carrying protection in the form of bear spray and my 44 mag as back-up.) Some thoughts for you, should you do some night observation sessions. In addition to having bright flashlights available, choose your protection in the event something goes awry. Another thing I thought of when a TV program interviewed people that had close contact when bigfoot snuck up on them. Have a large quiet and well trained dog with you, staying by your side. The dog will detect things with their vastly superior senses that you or I would never detect and have the dog trained to quietly alert you, the handler. That might be the most effective safety measure you could have. And the dog could chase bigfoot off if you so ordered. When on the offensive, the dog should be OK. (This also gives a good measure of protection from black bears.) So, please give us (your followers) some notice when you plan on conducting these observational searches and when we can expect reports on UA-cam. And BEST OF LUCK AND SUCCESS TO YOU. Your friend,Brad Tipton (the unfinished millstone gu

A lot of my family live on White Rock road, you passed their houses on the way up to where you are. I have hiked on the trail you are on. A lot of strange things happen in those woods. A forest ranger told me once their are Bigfoot sightings there. Their is also a lot of cult activity, animals with their heads cut off, we have heard strange chanting and drums up there several times. I personally had a strange encounter while picking rasberries. I was picking rasberries near my sisters farm ( which you passed on the way up) when I heard something I turned around to look and and standing in the middle of the road was a huge black wolf it was just starring at me. I froze for a moment then slowly walked backwards toward my car parked near me praying the whole time. It then ran into the woods. I found out my family saw a big black animal in their yards earlier that week
I saw something similar in Southeast Ohio not far from Clarington on the Ohio River. Thought at first it was a deer because of how effortlessly it ran up a hill, but it had a big tail and long fur. Kind of looked like a large Afghan Hound. I can't say what it was.
The camp spot was at the top of the rock outcrop. The person's car wasnt seen became I rode my mtn bike to the spot. I've onlynever been back there once since that night
Here in the mountains of central Pennsylvania, these great hairy people are everywhere in the woods. I don't suggest camping in any of these areas.... Bigfoot likes to hunt nocturnally and anything is fair game. 👁️
I don't really know what to think of what you read from that paper. If it's at all possible I think it would be really interesting if you could return to this location with that person and have him/her relay the story again to you only this time get it on film.
I kinda believe in bigfoot but the sounds the person heard...could it have been a bear? not that I"ve ever heard one but don't they sorta roar? like during a fight, mating season, scaring another bear off? and at night, alone, that roar could sound twice as loud.
Good job on the video. I’m on the fence on this one. Not enough information with only hearing the sounds. If it was seen too, that’d be a bit more believable .
Living in the Poconos, I heard a growl/ grunt noise in my yard one night while I was in bed. The next day my neighbor told me it was a wild boar He saw it in his driveway around the same time I heard it
Hi Cliff, could it have been a bear ??, I live in the UK so I am not totally familiar with bear noises per se. I am totally on the believer side of the fence when it comes to Bigfoot, that could have been what he heard I cannot say for sure but you would think an outdoorsman would know what a bear sounds like in his native land. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx ❤
Bears stumble around like big clumsy dogs. They kind of grumble to themselves as well. I have had one in a campsite and while they sit and ponder (if bears ponder) they can be incredibly quiet. But when it's a bear, you kind of know it's a bear. I think a Bigfoot is more deliberate and graceful, for lack of a better term. 😄
I've heard coyotes bark, yip, howl, growl, whimper and sound like a crying baby. I've heard cats in the light of day make some pretty ferocious growls. I find it strange that a bigfoot would run away only to come back. Whatever it was may have had no interest in the camper at all. It may not have even been watching him. Animals do stalk other animals. Sounds more like a coyote. I know coyotes have infiltrate as far south as York and Adams Counties. Without an actual sighting, I'm skeptical about this one.
Many tribes have been recounting Sabe stories for centuries. There is a YT channel posted by some Pikani Blackfoot women about the Sabe in their territory. There is a story called Meeting Pikani Blackfoot Medicine, Pikani Blackfoot Storytelling Project on YT.
My encounter also my 4 yr old daughter encounter was during the day; my 5 yr old encounter was during the day but really foggy outside. Both times with my encounter also my daughter encounter hairy man or big foot was quiet as a mouse running and walking. My big foot ran on all four legs my daughter sighting was quiet too like their was nothing around.
I've mentioned my encounters on your opening video I believe, so won't repeat here. The only thing I will say is that if you hear that roar....you will definitely know. Doesn't sound like anything I know of either. Experience sounds similar to one of my own.
My personal opinion is a bear. Black bear do grunt. I've heard this personally in my yard. If this person was cooking food over his fire, that would draw a bear in from up to 10 miles. Yes, their nose is that good. Their eyesight, however, is not good at all. The only time I have ever heard of a bear roaring was a story told to me by a friend. He and a few of his other friends were bear hunting in upstate Pennsylvania. One of his friends shot a bear and the bear supposedly left out a roar. Again, this is only hearsay though. My theory? A bear smelled food and came to investigate. When the bear came closer the the person, the bear picked up the human scent. The bear, being frustrated, let out a grunt and ran off. Keep in mind, bears do not see well, so while it's running away, it's plowing over saplings, brush, and even small dead trees. The growl? Going by my friends hunting story, maybe in plowing through the brush the bear injured itself and then left out a growl. Good story, and I'm trying to keep an open mind to all of this, but my opinion is he had a bear encounter.
I'm 56 years old and I have visited many NPs, have done much camping in many woods and I have yet to come across a Bigfoot creature. I'm not saying they don't exists but at my age and years of experience in the woods, I have reason for doubting the existence of Bigfoot.
FL has something called a skunk ape. Hey Cliff! Go listen to the video at where you say here's a little bit more of that graffitti. Full volume...There is an odd sound. I KID YOU NOT! Either a bee buzzing or ???
My thoughts on Bigfoot really varies, on one side of the coin I feel like earth is a big place, who know what has yet to be discovered, but, on the other side of the coin I feel like if there were Bigfoot type creatures among us in the woods or forests, why hasn’t a skeleton or skeletal remains been found yet and why are there no credible or clear photographs of them, thousands of people use trail cams for hunting and wildlife photography, why isn’t there a trail cam picture floating around on the internet of one? I’m trying to remain open minded, if I’m being honest I’m leaning a bit more to the “they don’t exist” side of the conversation, strictly based on the lack of evidence and photographs.
I'm convinced that 1967 Patterson/Gimlin video showed one. No doubt in my mind. Look how it moved. Remember the first Planet of the Apes movies? They didn't produce costumes that realistic.....with breasts no less!?!?
Watch Expedition Bigfoot on the Travel Channel. It's usually on Sunday evenings. It will change your opinion on what you believe. It's not a BS show like many of these Bigfoot shows are you see on TV. Check it out.
Wandering Woodsman…I wonder if it might have been a homeless nomad person who may have been living or camping nearby his camp. Perhaps trying to scare this person off. The woods are filled with ppl living off the land with survival skills. They don’t stay in one place they stay on the move.
while I respect everyone's right to have an opinion and belief, for me personally I find it hard to believe that in all the time that there has been stories and sightings, there has never been a carcass found and documented.
I had a close encounter with a Sasquatch on May 28,2010…7:10pm in the Allegheny National Forest here in PA. South Central Pennsylvania Bigfoot Project is having an open town meeting (free) on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2022 AT 6:30 PM. Location of event is just east of the Biglerville Legion Post and across the road at the Recreation Complex.
The attenders would love to see you.
And Fox’s can make some serious strange noises also.
I am new to your content. I’m a Pennsylvanian native transplanted not by choice. Your videos! They are awesome! It’s just like I’m home treapsing through the woods! Going to go try to find your stuff since going to the area soon for r and r. I was born by State College so loved your Moshannan video. You say it funny. It’s okay, thank you thank you!
Maybe a large Black Bear 🐻
Michaux is an amazing place, and if I was Bigfoot I'd live there.
Thank you
great video!! i like this format, Hiking, history and bigfoot hunting. hope you do more,
hey wandering woodsman. your one of my favorite channels. I'm in West p.a. near cooks forest. I got into history from living in a haunted house. i started researching my local history and got really interested. I just think it's neat you got into paranormal after history. and I got into history from paranormal. btw I'm 30 and I'm a wondering woodsman too . thanks alot for your great videos. I hope to show you my local history sometime your out this way . also butler gargoyle is a strange creature that was seen in my area. and I've heard big foot sounds here more then once 3 big knocking on trees
I’m in fayette co, southwest pa also ever out this way lmk
The only animal I can think of that might act like that and or make those sounds. Would be a mountain lion. Before ya'll argue me otherwise Yes There Are Mountain Lions aka Cougars in Pennsylvania. I have not known cougars to be in this particular area but it's always a possibility. Cougars sound scary af when they roar/growl
Yes, they have been seen in eastern pa, by the way it's why Penn state uses it as the mascot.
Have heard deer 'chuff' before. I looked around and saw a fawn. So, I guess, mama was not happy with my closeness to baby.
Hello cliff this is what I think I think there might have been a dear and a bear in the distance once again thank you for bringing this story to us love from upstate New York
This one is a bit sketchy for me. But it changes things being there at night.
That's a neat spot there. I was deterred by the posted signs when I was going to hike there. There's a trail further up the road the that goes to the top of the outcropping.
As an aside. That posted trail goes all the way to Mont Alto campus
Try camping there at night. Then you'd probably have a lot more to report on something strange.😳
Deer do that very loud huff\snort warning. Usually while doing it they stamp their feet.
(This also gives a good measure of protection from black bears.)
So, please give us (your followers) some notice when you plan on conducting these observational searches and when we can expect reports on UA-cam. And BEST OF LUCK AND SUCCESS TO YOU.
Your friend,Brad Tipton (the unfinished millstone gu
14:20 The log on the ground behind you, both ends are raised by underlying support, i.e. floating. I look for sign language, specifically 'X' and '\I/' configurations in forested areas.
First thing I thought of was nothing in Pennsylvania roars. I'm 68 years old and lived here all my life.
Do you have bears there? I thought that could be it. Having said that it would be very nice if it was a Bigfoot but hope no-one every finds them, that would be the end of their story then. Really enjoyed the look around. Thanks for taking me along, please stay safe and take care
it was a bear
Bears if there are any there, they grunt and roar 😎
If I was looking for my 15 minutes of fame, maybe Big Foot isn't the route to take.
I call my Jeep Patriot…Hot Lips 👄 after the tv show MASH. And their many Jeep scenes. I’m all about the Sasquatch, love the channel! Sub’d
Sounds like it was probably a black bear that was sighted, not Bigfoot.
The camp spot was at the top of the rock outcrop. The person's car wasnt seen became I rode my mtn bike to the spot. I've onlynever been back there once since that night
More night exploring!
I would be in the bear or bobcat school they both have growls that can be frightening
15:38 You point right at it, 'X' marks the spot.
a bear ?
Cliff,
Bear, Wild Pig and possibly a Deer.
This just not seem like Big Foot country, not wild enough.
Cheers,
Rik
Ever thought about the Laurel Highlands? I’m a native to these parts and they’re full of ghost and other historical happenings, UFO’s and BigFoot!
Love the new series! Great stuff
Sorry for my typos I knew I should have read before posting. It will make you wonder.
Military knows about them…..
I never heard of that town or Forrest ? Pennsylvania has ton of wooded areas.
Just got a book called Wood Booger by Melissa George.
Yeah more detail on the growl it made would have been nice
yes a buck deer can grunt and growl during the rut
Living in the Poconos, I heard a growl/ grunt noise in my yard one night while I was in bed. The next day my neighbor told me it was a wild boar He saw it in his driveway around the same time I heard it
Hi Cliff, could it have been a bear ??, I live in the UK so I am not totally familiar with bear noises per se. I am totally on the believer side of the
fence when it comes to Bigfoot, that could have been what he heard I cannot say for sure but you would think an outdoorsman would know
what a bear sounds like in his native land.
@@lightwavz I think you are right actually lol. x
Relax and open up your doors of perception. There is nothing to fear but fear itself.
Bear? Something in the cat family? Deer? Deer & a bear? Jokesters?
Many tribes have been recounting Sabe stories for centuries. There is a YT channel posted by some Pikani Blackfoot women about the Sabe in their territory. There is a story called Meeting Pikani Blackfoot Medicine, Pikani Blackfoot Storytelling Project on YT.
Brown rocks are what tumble down your pant leg when you see a Bigfoot.
Looks more like an ancient structure than a quarry. Maybe something is there to guard it.
More than likely a bear smelling food. And when you go looking for the mug and sticker, take a bag with you and pick up some trash.
Read the book by autumn Williams Enoch
Too too scary ! Keep Niomi's engine running !
@@Equinox051256 nice, I’ll check it out, thanks for the info!!
What if that was bigfood blocking the path??
j/k
I am not saying this is what it was, but I have heard black bears grunt and roar.
What were the noises starting at around 12:28 in the video? It happened 3-4 times at least
The channel base camp chris does Bigfoot type stories mostly ones from viewers so mybye your viewers can give you their stories.
bear?
Maybe they didn t know the right word to describe the sound and used roar
How did you come up with the name Naomi?
Just subscribed 👍
Wandering Woodsman…I wonder if it might have been a homeless nomad person who may have been living or camping nearby his camp. Perhaps trying to scare this person off. The woods are filled with ppl living off the land with survival skills. They don’t stay in one place they stay on the move.
while I respect everyone's right to have an opinion and belief, for me personally I find it hard to believe that in all the time that there has been stories and sightings, there has never been a carcass found and documented.
Have you ever found a bear carcass in the woods? Or even a bear skull?
Yep
what size shoe are you?
