I love your camping shows.. your relaxed way of camping is so soothing I feel like I'm there...
Thanks for sharing
My dog heard you say DEER and she ran to the door to look outside!!!!! Yeah, those kind of chairs make my back on hurt.
Thanks Cliff.
I must have missed this video when it dropped, but I was #scouting again. Thanks for the shout! I certainly have been known to recycle water, coffee, and brewskis, lol. Cheers!
I have not been to Parker Dam since I was a kid, maybe some day I will make it back. Good video.👍🏻😎
It always calms me to join you in your latest adventure. Lots of stress from too much working, and the outdoors relaxes me, even if it’s watching this video.
My hubby grew up in Clearfield County and is familiar with all the state parks in that area. I have hiked at Parker Dam in the winter and enjoyed it. Our hiking club had a campout there quite a few years ago. LEDs are great. They use so little power and don't generate. Thanks for sharing!
Parker Dam is a very nice place with interesting history; the Tornado and the CCC camp. My wife and I spent a couple of nights there in August and it was a wonderful stay.
Love your camping videos
Great stuff Cliff; camping out, food done on a fire, seeing wildlife, and a good sleep. For me that's heaven on earth. Thrunight makes great, innovative products, I have a few. Happy camping 🏕
You have such a calm presence about you. I really enjoy your camping videos. Listening to you talk. You always keep your videos clean. Also very interesting. You're knowledgeable about plants. Wishing you well on all your journeys. 🌾🍁🍂 Hey, love watching you make coffee. You eat all the sandwiches you want. Your active and you have to refuel🍃
"You're..."
I always crave coffee after watching the coffee being made!!!
Subscribed for a while, just watching vids. Luv the calm adventures!
:) It was a school Holiday so the campgrounds were packed everywhere.
love these serene back woods camping trips with you. Would of love to catch a couple Elk bull's sparing. Great video.
That looks s a cool light.
What a nice video. Much love take care Cliff
When hubby comments about the kids being loud when we are camping. I always say well at least they are not on ipads and phones. He looks up from his phone and laughs. Lol
Cliff,
You can put all the ingredients on one side of that sandwich Melter
rather than both sides. That way nothing will shift, it's easier.
Someone sent me a message about your working with children and teaching them Botany and survival skills.
That is so nice!
Cheers,
Rik Spector
I’ve fished at Parker damn.
I am blown away by how many campers there are at this time of year. I was there many years ago and it was very quiet and serene. No one else was there.
I do not live in PA anymore, but my daughter lives at the lower end of Penfield mountain, on the way to the campground.
1:52 - looks like your PA map could use some scotch tape 😊😊😊
Greetings to you my friend absolutely love your adventures 😁💟💟
Great video man! Looks like a nice place to camp👍🏻
Nice camp... sandwich looked good. Deer always seemed to hanging around if we were at Parker Dam.
Your campfire was pleasant. Thanks for taking folks with you.
I watch a lot of outdoor and camping videos. Yours are my favorite. They are so calming and relaxing. I always learn a thing or two from your channel. Keep up the good work.
Great Video As Always Cliff
Love💛 your camping videos, they are so much fun. You make everything look so easy. Sure do know how to build a fire 🔥, love the loud pop of the cracking wood sticks. Mmmm smoked Ham ! " Success " 😋 Tunas Better. Drinking my coffee with you, so much fun. The book looks GREAT ! Amphitheater area, awesome. That is one awesomely created flashlight ! Super Cool ! 🔦What an awesomely, cozy, comfy, video. Gives me the warm and fuzzies. Just Love your camping videos 💛. Great Job Yogi Bear 🐻
Oh and I popped a hip out of joint trying to wrestle an aired up mattress into a tent door opening smaller than the mattress LoL. That was back when I was young a hundred years ago.
Thanks for mentioning Walter Zolna. (Can't remember which video of yours mentioned him.) His stuff is really good.
We probably would have missed out if it weren't for you.
I figured the world famous Wandering Woodsman would start a fire by rubbing two sticks together! 🤣
Your camping videos are so relaxing! Defiantly one of the people that inspired me to get outside and solo camp.
We use the sandwich size bread, fits well and isn't too thick. It is available in whole wheat some places, and that is my preference. I use Swiss cheese and sliced ham and only a few slices so it heats well. The pizza suggestion is also a favorite. Wait, you need desert, so jams and pie filling works well. Trout, small bass and sunfish takes only minutes in the mountain pie maker. I always preheat the cooker, that seems to make the cooking more even.
I do the same process of preheating the sandwich thingy and desert(blueberry jam and Nutella or peach jam and slices of banana). The best meals derive over a fire pit.
Search the aluminum camp chairs from Harbor Freight. Our family loves them!
I’m from that area.
A tornado went through Parker dam in the 80s, really tore it up !
The canned ham is good with mayo and pickle relish for a sandwich.
Karthaus in Clearfield county is the place to go for elk. Pretty decent sized herd that is fairly accessible. They're super active in May, to the point you'll hit one with your car if you aren't careful.
Hi Cliff, you should get two metal fishing pole Y shaped stakes and a third metal pole then put the 2 Y shaped ones in the ground either side of the fire and the other one place across the 2 Y poles, make sure they are ones that can withstand a campfires temps then just get a hanging and an S hook, you won't need your gas burner then as much as you can cook stuff or heat water over the campfire. xx
Thanks Cliff, 3 rd time was the charm, you could have scratched some of the black off the bread ,I do it to toast all the time. Great sleep over. Listening to children play beats the traffic noise for sure. Someone said you could have moved the picnic table but yours may have fell apart if you did.
If you have a small *open* cast-iron skillet, that's a better way to do toasted sandwiches over the fire; you can control the heat and flip the sandwich with a spatula to avoid burning. I don't even own a toaster here at home, I use my cast iron pan all the time -- even to just make toast, English muffins, etc.
That was fantastic thanks Cliff. I thought the tuna one even looked better. That torch was great, it being magnetised was fantastic. 3rd setting was great. Looking forward to elk video hope you see some. Thanks for taking me along. Please stay safe and take care
I've found its helpful to grab a packet of mayo or 2 from a gas station or fast food establishment, it really helps the taste and texture of the canned ham. Otherwise it's a decent little camp food.
I was setting up the fireplace wood in the house today but not nearly so neatly as you. I don't have those fire sticks tho. First snow of winter here in Nevada today.
Hormel is one of the better canned ham. I do like spam sandwiches. Love your videos! Down here in eastern PA. I'm seeing some really beautiful mushrooms in the local woods.
As part of my job in retail merchandising I recently was setting up supermarket displays of flavored coffee creamers. People buy the stuff in such huge volumes it can't all be for coffee. They must drink it straight.
If I remember correctly, there is an octagon shelter or building that the boy scouts used to camp at up there. Years ago, there was a tornado that swept through that area. There were a bunch of scouts in the building. The tornado mowed down the trees all around the shelter but the shelter was untouched. I heard that there was a lot of praying goin' on in that building. It certainly helped! I was so relieved that no one was hurt.
You can also buy the cigarette lighter adapter that it plugs into for the flashlight.
A tip for you, Cliff.
You're a scientific kind of guy. One of the reasons your sandwich burns so easily is, you are using olive oil. Olive Oil has a 'low smoke point.' That means olive oil burns easily. It is not good for sautéing on a stove top either. Avocado Oil has a 'high smoke point;' so, it will not burn as easily. One of the best Avocado Oils to use is called Chosen 100% Avocado Oil. Many oils in the store are cut with cheaper oils; you want to buy a good one. An open fire on the bottom of an iron cooking device will burn much quicker, too. When we camp; I start a fire about an hour before I cook and cook over the coals. Someone said you should use butter; it has excellent taste; but, it also has a 'low smoke point' and it will easily burn, too. Avocado Oil has a good flavor and will not burn as easily.
@@housemousell Good suggestion!
All of it
we do pizza Sause cheese peperoni in them mt pie makers
You are allowed to move the picnic table..ya know.. I remember when I went to Girl Scout camp, I was in charge of making the grilled cheese sandwiches, they all turned out like your sandwich...lol.
Good video. You make me miss camping so much. We haven’t gone for many years. Can you do a video on your tent and air mattress ? It looks really nice and thick like it’d be comfortable and the tent looks so easy to put up. I like that little light too. It’s really nifty.
Your sandwiches look like mine. I’ve been cooking for many years but I always burn my grilled cheeses. 😊
I may do that sometime.
Cliff why not use your campfire to heat your water. , You can open tin cans like Bake beans and heat them in the can on the fire.. M y dad got an old teakettle we used to heat water and put it in a paper bag to store. Put shaving cream on the outside of pans to remove the blacken soot off the pans. We also had a cast iron frying pan for cooking we kept in a bag too.
👍👍👍
You can do what you do over wood fire
Next time could you read us a spooky story by the fire ? . Thanks
"The year was 2020,......"
Why do you not heat your coffee water on the fire?
Becauae he dont want to. Is there a problem ?
@@jamesvw769 No problem. Just curious.
I'm wondering why you bothered with the noisy toy stove for coffee when you already had the camp fire going???
Butter bread burns easily. Try pizza mountain pies! They are great!
Next time squeeze the water out of the can just like tuna and your sammy won’t leak
Another cool camping video. But please, no more cheese.
My only stuff is use wood fire more
6 pack of beer would have made the night complete.
“Smoked ham, looks kind of gross.” It’s Hormel, it is gross.
The smoke always follows my wife, funny stuff.
I love sweets, did you ever try SMORS??? They are excellent
Not recently
You burnt the shit out of it
That's all right keep it real

hi tks man
hi tks
Parker Dam is nice. You just had a lousy site.
I can't handle it any more. Sorry don't want to be a negative Nancy but put a cover over that table. Animal I'm sure get up on that thing when your people aren't there. Take a pillow case or a garage bag to place your spoon or extra food. Might be the OCD in me talking but Yuck!
Canned ham, yuck. You should have put on some pepperoni. I like my grilled cheese blackened like your bread.
Stay away from Hormel foods
You eat so much sodium bro, it's not healthy, I couldn't believe all that spam you ate either
Canned ham 🤮
If you had a slice of swiss cheese or cheddar, would have been a great sandwich. Nice spot you had. 😊
