The 26mm was all i could find 2nd hand. Not sure on the part number difference.... the number is embossed into the bar itself.
Definitely better to drive now - i fitted a pop top roof, and it made the van twist something wicked, so thats why i fitted the anti roll bar.

For longer riv nut m6 u need to use longer sockets for rivnut gun or it works whit standart lenght?

I think it worked with standard length rivnuts. I used the ones that came in my rivnut kit.

Is the 7d0511409 the same as the 7d0511407-c it says 26mm online. The other one is discontinued

Also, how do you like the 26mm? Do you carry heavy loads? Mine is just used for some light camping and debating between 26 and 20mm. Mine is a 2000. And also, is there room to use a right angle rivnut tool? It is what I have

Should be able to do it with a right angled rivnut gun.

@@ps5398 mine is standard only, I dont think I can do that big with it. $45 for a for one that is tool with nutserts from habro freight should get the job done

For some reason because of double layer the rivet widens in the oval spot and not the 9mm hole. Did you have any issues with this?

@@chrissmith2729 i had to buy the longer vw rivnuts direct from dealer.. i live in the uk, so only took 48hrs from Germany

@@ps5398 ah, there is only a few in the states left and I will be on my road trip when they arrive. I sourced some from a dedicated nut and bolt store that have to be drilled to 10mm instead of 9 and they seem to be holding much better. They are probably 1 or 2mm longer than the ones I was using and having trouble with. Now just waiting on the junk yard to get the brackets off the body

On Ebay 2nd hand, but in good condition.. couldn't find a new one online anywhere! Brackets are still available from volkswagen, but bushes aren't, so had to get from powerflex.
