There are a lot of untold stories that are implied. I believe Kote knows all now but cant tell all in his story to Chronicler yet. Hes laying a trap for them and has to tell the stories slowly to bate them and spring the trap.

The Cthaeh (I believe) is the bound Encanis from Thelu's legend. As he is described as the most evil and powerful of all the demons and there are many clues that skindancers are his agents (he moves like a worm in fruit). Also his voice like a snake fits, and that he was bound to a wheel which would prevent him from lying (the Cthaeh can't lie because the wheel/tree will hurt him). So Encanis is the heart of all Evil, and Encanis literaly means something like Wizard or magical speaker or even singer (encanta) So that makes Thelu the highest good god and Encanis (Cthaeh) the ultimate good in the world of KK.

We definitely cover the Trapis story and Encanis. Fairly certain I already posted that theory clip. But yeah The Cthaeh is certainly at least a partial amalgamation of Encanis.

Pretty sure this is the one where we cover Trapis’ story.

@@kingkillerpodcast8559Who I believe is Teccam. And I believe the story of Taborlin the Great is the person who didn’t betray a city. He wouldn’t go along and was locked away because of it. The legend speaks about his escape.

The Ruach couldn’t have ruled over men. Ruach weren’t around with men. Ferlurian is one of them and she said this was “before the cities of man. Before man. Before fae.”

When I say ruled over men, I’m more meaning there were likely immortal and mortal beings, and the Ruach ruled over them. My guess is that by creating the Fae and stealing the moon that this clearly delineated man and fae creations, but before that it was more immortal and mortal beings.

The dross of black en Tor... A dross is actually a term from professional butchery. It simply means slaughter. So this actually probably translates to: The slaughter of the Black at the Tower. or... The slaughter at the Black Tower...

I think the creature he was fighting was a Draccus which a shaper had given wings and the power of flight to. Since the myth if Dragons exist in this world and the two are confused with one another.
Also I believe the enemy was Feidja the king that patrick talks about being the villain of book three. I believe Lanray and Iax are one in the same. I believe that his true name was Iax and that lira told him to breath which of course in latin Hal means breath and so she brought him back by changing his name. I believe after lanrays true name was changed it made lira a shaper and after they defeated the king of shapers she was seen as a villain. Then so she was killed and I believe celtose was behind it after he found out what she had done to preserve iax. Then I think lanray under his new name had become more powerful in naming and i believe in revenge he changed celetose name into the cathae so that he would be forced to exist as a force which desperately tries to shape history. I think then lanray went out and told the world that the catahe was the force that is responsible for everything and that he goes around killing anyone who tells any account of the story because he wants cellatose to suffer. Btw i spelt all these names wrong but idc XD either way I believe part the point of this story is that stories are a weapon that can be used for self glory and for vengance and to that end I am working on an in depth theory about the kvothe is a lackless deception. I believe kvothe is leaving obvious seeds to pick up on so that readers can come to that conclusion and he is doing this as petty vengabce because it would defame the name of the lackless family and he is doing it because of how he was treated by the lady lackless and this is his petty revenge by claiming all of his deeds, his birth and his existence is the fault of the lackless line

I think you're likely right about the draccus, but King Feyda wasn't alive during the Creation War. Rothfuss has told us around when he was alive and when he died and then became a draugr. He's definitely the sleeping barrow king though, but he can't be Iax.

    • @kingkillerpodcast8559

For example, King Feyda founded the Vintish kingdom, which happened thousands of years after the Creation War. He was around during the Aturan Empire. He's the reason the Alverons are no longer kings. So he was born long after Iax and Lanre were waging war.

Do you think there is more to what the Cthae relays to Kvothe regarding Cinder? Since the Cthae twists the truth, he says "Perhaps this Cinder did me a bad turn once". Obviously this sets Kvothe onto Cinder's path & the rest of the Chandrian. After listening to your discussion I wondered if maybe the Cthae wants to antagonize the Chandrian, or if there's something in the past that the Cthae is focused on Cinder in particular?

It’s tough to say. I do think Encanis is an amalgamation of the Cthaeh and the Chandrian, so I could see a scenario where the truth behind Trapis’ story involves Cinder causing something that results in Tehlu binding the Cthaeh to the tree. But outside of educated guesses and pure speculation, there isn’t really much to really pin anything down.
