@@CapturedInWords Your work is very much appreciated. Sincerely, dude. Your Kingkiller videos truly help me escape to a better place. Watching them while reading these books made for one of my best book-reading experiences ever-and during some of the darkest times ever. So thank you. 🔥
I love this content. I started following you after I ran across your in depth "Way of Kings" summary. More of these please.
Me too! I saw the way of kings summary then saw there was a deep dive for KKC and started applauding 😂
I’ve just finished my fourth re-read !
Talk about perfect timing.
You are by far the best King Killer Chronicle chronicler on UA-cam.
Without imposing, I think we wouldn’t mind a few videos about The Stormlight Archive books. Character analysis, Parchendi Lore, or Roshar history. Anything to keep the waiting tender.
With a huge gratitude for your work !
❤️👌
I just finished my first reading of the name of the wind and this is perfect to help me recap goinging into book two
Fantastic video! the lore in name of the wind is my favourite thing about the series! It amazes me how dense Patrick rothfuss has made it. Your video has given me an itch to re read it 👍
Incredible production value, thank you for this! Even though I just finished my fifth reread there were a lot of things you showed me here that I didn't quite notice.
Awesome!! I'm glad I can help point out some things you didn't notice before! That's one thing I love about this series, with every reread there's always some new detail to pick up on
just finished oh my god
incredible
the way he writes conversation and observes the little details of how people act without bogging down the prose is an absolute pleasure
incredible fantasy now onto the next!!
Just recommended the series to a friend and thought... better refresh myself by watching this awesome summary video again 😀
Thank you so much for this man, would love to re-read it one day but good to have this has a resource and to hear all your insight of multiple re reads!
Your videos got me into Kingkiller, and I just finished Wise Man's Fear. This is perfect timing for me 🙌
Can't wait for part 2! Thanks for the deep dive. Made me go back and reread both current books again.
You're welcome, and I'm happy I inspired another person to reread them! :D
Thank you so much for this video! I plan on re-reading this at the end of this year when my friend is going to buddy read it with me!
Oooh! I paused this to comment!
I'm super excited to hear this, because I have read, (welllll, actually listened to) the books over and over. I can't ever get tired of them, because there's little things here and there that I didn't notice before, each time!
That went so smooth I couldn't believe it's been 40 mins?! Well done. Excited for part 2
Excellent, excellent review! I can't remember the last time I watched a 40 min + anything on UA-cam. Well done, good sir. I'll be rewatching this again to get a refresher for when book 3 comes out!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I put a ton of work into this video, also I made a part 2 if you missed it: ua-cam.com/video/d7tdaEU5pD4/v-deo.html and I'll be making summary videos for The Wise Man's Fear in January :)
When book three comes out, lol. Funny joke.
Glad to be among others who have read the books more than a few times. Lost track how many times myself lol. Quality videos mate, cant wait to watch you lose your mind when the next book finally comes out!
Also your voice-acting is great! Love the voice for old-cob. I think you could easily get a job narrating audio-books or even voice acting
This was a great summary as I had forgotten so many details by now from the first book.
Yess let's go! Read the first 2 books twice so far! Cant not wait for Doors of Stone. And love the theatricality in this summary!
Same I believe I've read them two or three times now and I'm definitely going to read them again right before the third book is finally released. I assume you've also read the slow regard of silent things? That short novel about Auri was so damn good!
@@cloudbloom Oh definitely have to read them again before DoS! And yes I have read the Auri story once. I hope Patrick gives us more novellas too!
Great video. I loved the "in depth summary" you did for The Way Of Kings also. Im sure they take a long time to knock out, but they're great. Keep them up with all your favorites.
Yeah they're definitely the videos that take the most amount of time, though it's mostly writing the script that is the longest part. But I'll for sure be making many more of these! 😃
4:24 gosh your Old Cob voice is brilliant😂
Was really cool to watch this video and be reminded of an awesome story like this one! I don’t think I’ve read this book since maybe 2018 or so. Can’t wait for what is to come
Excellent video, Jay! This is a perfect way to summarize the story and streamline the theories at the same time!
OMG 40 minutes! So looking forward tot that, thanks and lots of love
You are the man for this summary I wanted to dive back in to the series and reread it for the 4th time but wanted to start with WMF and this has allowed it thanks.
Good job, mate! This is certainly gonna be useful, when the third book will finally come out... eventually... one of these days... ugh.
Fingers crossed!
Surely its coming somewhat soon now thats hes read the prologue???? Please God's above let it be so
35:36 the artwork of Kvothe in front of the horns has his shadow lying, as if pinned, on a spoked wheel.
Nice touch to whom ever made that one.
This is just what I have been waiting for, I think that when the final book is out, these will be really popular.
I hope so!
Another amazing video. Thank you so much for the work and time you put into making these!
I can recommend scanning along in the book with this wonderful video, its a wonderful experience
a nice, long video for NotW, I love it! A VERY fast watch! Thanks Jay
Very well done! Looking forward to the rest of this series. Subscribed!
Such an epic summary, I read the book last year but this has helped me so much remember why I enjoyed this book.
Aaaaaaaaah. This video is so aesthetic and interesting. You’re one of my favorite youtubers, Jay
Wow, thank you! That makes me happy to hear! 😊
I really loved watching video ! Thank you! Can't wait for part 2 and the videos you'll do for wise man's fear!
Loved the series and love to see so much love and dedication on your side. Great channel, subscribing RN
Much appreciated!
You deserve more subscribers brother, your content is so captivating and polished.
Keep up the good work my man ✌️
Thank you so much 😀I appreciate that!
This is AMAZING!! Thank you for all your hard work! Can’t wait for part two!! 😃
Thanks so much for watching Danielle! 😀
So glad you made this. I'm finally planning on reading book 2 so the refresher is nice
This video reminded me just how masterfully this book is written and also how much I should give it a re-read 🤓
Well time for a reread... Thank you for superb Summary.
Thanks for this content! An excellent refresher!
Glad it was helpful!
Fantastic job on this Jay. Thanks so much for all the effort you put in. I really enjoyed it.
Thanks for this one, I have been planning to give a WMF another chance this year, this will help me dive straight into it!!!!
I haven't read the book yet, but want to support the channel, so I'll watch with the volume off! And then come back in a month or two to see everything I missed during my first reading!
Thank you, I really appreciate that! That definitely helps boost it in the algorithm! :)
@@CapturedInWords I may have to move Name of the Wind up my TBR so I can actually watch the video! Although, you're editing is so good that this was still pretty entertaining without sound!
Fantastic summary! Will definitely be referring to this whenever I need a good refresher on the finer details of book 1. Can't wait for the second part!
This is amazing please continue this for the second book too
This brings The Name of the Wind to a whole new level. Cant wait to hear part two. You have a rare gift. Thanks. PJ😎
Do you give lessons sir? I am both the ancient gamer combined with the new age youtube personality! All help is greatly appreciated in this quarter given. #GoldNoblesinReturn
@@patrickolsen8692 Thanks for watching the video! 😀 I don't really give any lessons though I'm thinking of creating a video editing course on Skillshare in the future! I'll also make a video on my channel some time soon about how I edit my videos
Not even halfway thru, but I must admit that I cannot wait to see a follow up on the second book as well!
I am so glad to have found your channel ! I just finished reading The Name of the Wind and A Wise Man's Fear, so thanks for the video. By the way, your illustrations are fantastic, do you elaborate them yourself? Helloes from Mexico City.
I'm glad you found the channel too, and am happy you're enjoying the videos! I'll definitely be making similar videos for The Wise Man's Fear as well. I do all the video editing myself, and I find all the illustrations on ArtStation or on DeviantArt, and in my description I have a link to a spreadsheet with credit to all of the artists
Loving this! I've never read the actual book, I've only listened to the audio book twice. Lots of the details of the writing style can be missed when it's not written I never noticed that scarpi knew his name but he never told him his name
Amazing epic wonderful I absolutely love the king killer chronicles this series has a very special place in my heart your interpretation and guid through the literature is amazing thank u soooo much for taking the time to do this I’ve always said kvothe will forever be my fictional husband and all time favorite hero! There’s just something about his character that’s so well done and special anyone that reads these books has to agree.
I'm happy you enjoyed the video! Kvothe is amazing :D
It's been a few years now since I've read this. Such a great reminisce of a great story
Wow wow wow!! I ordered the 2 books after listening to you..keep up the good work Amogis
Good job on these in depth rothfuss. He's the only living fantasy author I think worthy of signed first editions. Can't wait to collect Doors of Stone. (Hey Pat!)
