Klauth is one of the largest and most fearsome red dragons ever known in Faerûn. Huge but graceful, he’s as supple as a cat. His body is covered in old, wicked-looking scars where scales have been torn away and never grown back. He brutally attacks other dragons, seeking to slay any wyrm that might rival him in power, in a fighting style marked by sudden attacks and just as sudden disappearances.
Klauth spends many waking hours scrying Faerûn with his spells, and he probably knows more about the deeds and whereabouts of surface-world creatures in the North and along the Sword Coast than any other being alive today. - Фільми й анімація

Awesome review as always and I've been looking forward to someone finally covering this. After some debate during the "extended" pre-order phase I ended up getting the normal closed wing non-light up edition and while I have the same reservations about what you pointed out I'm still beyond impressed. After going back and looking at images from a few cons this was shown at there is a definite color change in the base in terms of extensive detail on the rock. I'm part of the PCS group on FB and PCS has spoke several times about how this was a legacy carry over piece before they transitioned away to how they currently operate (I do not know the exact details on this). My guess is this was a need to fill these orders scenario and get this to the best possible place to be able to fulfill what we were selling to buyers. This is brought up with delays for repaints, remodeling on the open wings for the other version etc. Regardless going forward PCS has definitely been more open to feedback on items coming out post this piece and encourages fans to let them know about wanted changes which in a fairly flooded statue market is awesome.

Very nice my man! I also picked up Klaugh with light up castle. I feel this is probably the best Dragon statue out there. Subscribed! My only beef is the base didn't have great detail. I took Tamaia paint 🎨 dry brush and hit the rocks lightly. Made a huge difference.I picked this up for $739 and it was $4 to ship which was very nice. Something was up with the license here. It took forever. If this piece was released today $1200.00 plus again the licensing and time it took had something going on. Some folks over sea had issues with tail / wings sitting properly my copy had zero issues and fits like a glove. I have sitting on my safe in the office you can see from the hallway. Friends and family when they sae Klaugh say Holy $%!+ 😆 🤣

The rocks look more like ice to me..........The tail will never be seen.....A really cool piece.......I didn't even know Dungeons and Dragons was still around.

I love this piece! As you mentioned, I was unable to fit the tail flush along with the peg on the side of the tail that inserts into the rock. What was your secret as I have the tail attached and was unable to fit the peg in the slot? I also found some paint peeling on mine that was coming off when fitting the dragon body on the rock castle. :-(

Had this on PO but had to cancel my order, I regret that, but it is what it is. I must admit that the look of the rock is cheap and the gap in the tail is badly done. The overall look of the Dragon is great. Congratulations on piece.
I thought about canceling too. It took forever for this to come out, but i am glad they reworked some things on the dragon. Now that i have displayed it. It's not bad the issues sort of fade away. especially the tail. it's not visible the way it is displayed. thanks for checking out the video. I think it's sill up for order.

Great, honest review as always! I have this here and I haven’t opened it yet! (New man cave in progress). I noticed the tail seam during the po phase, I just didn’t care lol. I’m a HUGE dnd/high fantasy guy and I absolutely love what I’m seeing here. You’re spot on with your assessment man. Rocks could be better no question but it doesn’t bother me a ton. It’s almost like the rocks were painted like you’re looking at the entire piece from a distance… it helps make klauth pop more so I guess there’s that lol. I really like pcs and I am very excited for this line. Hope all is well, my friend!

Excellent Review. I just got this bad boy in a few weeks ago (The Open Wing Version which arrived in 3 massive boxes). Thinking of starting a UA-cam Channel Myself but fumbling my way through the research.
I agree with much of what you said. My biggest complaint is definitely the rocks on the base. My two problems were 1. They do look like plastic (because it seriously lacks those textures). Almost ice due to it being so smooth. 2. I didn't like the color of the rocks. When you build a structure like that citadel, the materials you'll use are from that area. So if the structure is tan, then the rocks should be brown. If the rocks are a dark grey, then the structure should be a lighter grey.
What I can tell you is that Klauth went through a makeover when you look at his prototype. Much of the changes went on to the Dragon itself. That tail you mentioned, if you look at the comicon videos, it had multiple seam lines on the front. This new version only has one piece which I think is a massive improvement. The seam is on the back so it didn't bother me. Also the paints on him were different. He originally had lighter reds, pinks (Mostly on the fins of his head), and almost a 'wet' look to him. Now replaced with Darker Reds, a little orange, and a dry look. I was concerned he was going to look like a giant piece of beef jerky but overall I think he looks great, especially his claws. Very happy with this handsome fellow.

They made a number of improvements. Now that I have him displayed, I am extremely happy I did not cancel this. All the issues I pointed out, you cannot tell at all. Especially the tail, it’s not even visible. The dragon is stunning. I laughed out loud when you said “beef jerky” I’m. so glad i did not hear anyone say that before. I don’t think i would have been able to get that out of my head 😂 , again thank you so much for taking the time to watch the video, and congrats on picking up such an epic piece.

I was seeing that seam right from the start. That looks bad. Wish they would brought that up closer to the legs. Maybe the folds on the skin could have hid that better

This one almost got me even had it on PO but canceled when I saw it at NYCC I noticed the lacking details immediately in the base. I just didn't love it overall as much as I thought. Maybe because you were recording you didn't notice as much, might have been focused on klauth himself. I still like it. Just not enough to buy it at that price.

I agree 100%, when i relooked at the video from the con all those issues are there. I know a lot of times the con pieces are pro-types that they basically glue together to get them on display. But now that i have displayed it it's not so bad. the tail is not visible, but yeah I do wish they had done more with that base.

Another great piece. I have seen some pictures on this in the past and the rocks look alot better on the pictures then in real life. you also dont seem that big seem on the tail.>

Ok so i knew nothing aobut TIAMAT, I just looked it up on Sideshows web site. It looks incredible. I love the colors., but i DO NOT love that price tag. $1400 OMG. but I love dragons, now I'm thinking about it. Why did you even have to mention that, lol, thanks again for checking out this video,

Slain was one I was so anticipating and it was sculpted my friend Caleb Nefzen, But something happened with the production and it was canceled after about two years on pre order.
