- I flew to Detroit Michigan to get a Battery from a Torn Down Tesla Model Y from Austin Texas! Sandy Munroe took apart an entire Model Y and I got to see his incredible shop!

Its an awsome place to work! all of the experts are casually talking at lunch about the industry and all it has to offer.
The funny thing is when Sandy started this, Tesla fans did not like what he had to say. Now, he is the biggest Tesla fan
Tesla has certainly done a lot to simplify manufacturing and reduce part count.
Some of Munro’s suggestions to Tesla were actually implemented. He’s contributed more than most Tesla fans.
It was the way it was done. Not specifically by Sandy himself. He didn't like the body build quality, but hadn't started tearing down the car. His first impressions were then pushed heavily at the time by hate groups and media. When he started the teardown, he began praising a lot of the tech in the car. I remember it appearing like UBS or another company was trying to keep his stance at that point silent, but that could have been just a misunderstanding on my part. Either way, you never heard the good things he would say by the media or those hate groups. That was about 5 years. Tesla has since implemented a ton of improvements that Sandy suggested and gone beyond that.
Sandy is the encyclopedia of cars, this was a cool tore of Munro & Associate HQ.

I am a huge Tesla fanboy too! I actually had the opportunity to work for SpaceX with my 210ft supply vessel before the Falcon 9 was landing itself. We were supposed to pick it up with a crane and bring it back to Cape Canaveral Florida.

The car with new 4680 batteries does not have any problems with the quality of assembly:
the details fit perfectly, all the gaps between the panels are excellent, the paint is done conscientiously, the same applies to the interior.
i came back from my MBA classes and watched this video 🤣💀

Folks, if you like peace of mind about your battery (longevity & safety), for years to come, just charge your EV between 30% - 70% (and do 90% - 100% when going for a long Road Trip).
(I own Tesla S & X, and I'm an Electrical Engineer)
* High temperatures kill batteries. If you go on a holiday/vacation during the summer, leave your vehicle at a low SOC (state of charge). For example, at or below 30% SOC
* Cycle within a narrow SOC range. For example: 40-60% rather than 10-80%. The cathode expands and contracts in a wider SOC range, which causes it to break apart.
* On that note: The lower the narrower the SOC range, the better. That means charging frequently.
* Avoid charging the vehicle above 75% SOC. Above 75% side reactions start occuring that cause degradation. This also reduces the volume expansion issues mentioned
* Taking all variables into account, operating between 45-70% SOC, and storage at ~30% is ideal.
* Occasional high SOC and wide SOC range are okay! For example, the occasional road trip.
* With good thermal management hardware and battery management software, supercharging should have minimal negative effects on cycle life
But even y'all will not follow those tips. The battery will not die tomorrow. it is just that there are some small (or big) consequences later on.

Looking at the future
I connected the jumper cables backwards on my 2014 tesla model s and car lost power completely. Any advice on where the fuse for this issue is?
@6:21 you can see cells shorting out at beginning of module..be careful with that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
