- Strangely, Milo the one that thinks he is a dog had no time for little pup at first, he was very grumpy we've introduced such a fluff ball but he warmed up by the end of the video. 3 days in they stop to sniff on the way past each other now like gentlemen. Kodi however was very intrigued, he was very cautious of the dogs when he was a kitten but since the other pups and this one he seems to like them. He's started to play with the pup chasing around already. I think it's better to get the supervised interactions out of the way as inevitably there will be an assertion of dominance and it will need to be the cat over the dog before the dog gets too big and actually poses a threat to the cat! Mainecoon cats are known for their positive temperament with dogs so the breeds should compliment each other, nonetheless you still have to take precautions and socialise them well enough. Little pup was very indifferent, his natural instinct obviously telling him not to approach Milo from the body language but him and Kodi were ok from the get go. I wonder what intrinsic fear cats have, developed by their ancestors of dogs, most domestic dogs are always second to the cat of the house haha you'd think it would have been generationally phased out!

Never force it. You don't have to put them in each other's faces. Just let them take a few days to get used to each other.
Exactly. That was a bit too much. Could've potentially ended badly. Cats need some time to adjust, and re-build/re-assert their territory and routines.

Very true.. that being said the darker cat and the pup are gonna cuddle so much when they grow a little together, the pup is so chill and that cat (sleepy feline) is already somewhat comfortable with the little fella

I've been fostering cats for years, and every time I bring a new foster into my home, my Maine Coon - Little Bear - is so excited! He's like that one kid in class who can't wait to make friends with 'the new kid'... "Hi! My name is Bear! What's your name?! You wanna play?! You wanna cuddle?! You want me to groom you?!" Whereas, I swear my other cats are rolling their eyes, thinking "Oh, great...I wonder how long THIS one is going to be here!"

Lol to funny animals are so amazing...we just got a new kitten yesterday and we are trying to introduce it to Mt dog which Is 2 I have anxiety so does my son and daughter so were scared cause when we.first tried we had thr kitten in thr carrier and she didn't like the dog she was hissing and making this other weird noise snd he was just excited wagging his tail so i dunno my husband is like go for it and I'm like but what if this or that lol
To me it seems like "puppy" is quite confident , not afraid to check out new animals and places.

He's a fairly mellow puppy. I had a Husky puppy who was like that. He grew to be very huge, but we always called him Puppy because he was so calm & sweet.
1:36 to anyone else, please don’t do this, this is a wrong way to introduce a dog to a cat. He became very vurnerable. The cat could really hurt the dog.

Which, is why he is leaving it to lieutenant Kodi. The yongester got to prove himself for when his time comes, he can leave Malmute Manor in capable paws for when that time comes or Milo decides: "I'm retiring, I'm to old to mange small mutts/puppies!!"

I introduced a kitten to my bulldog. They hid from in each other for a few days. One day I came home and they were snuggling together. They were the best of friends. Just leave them alone. Don’t force it.
Milo and Kodi handled the introduction well. Panda is so adorable and clever. (Yes I know they haven't named him yet. But I have to call the puppy something.)

Having them play together- great idea as it distracts the cat. Holding puppy in front of cats face - in my opinion bad idea. Please don’t force it. Cats can be stressed easily and lash out quickly.
YA that was really mean holding the puppy up right in front of the cat like that especially after they just saw each other for the first time. That is very stressful on both animals. The puppy was already taken from his Mother and his home he doesn't need more stress like this right away just to get internet clout and make money

Milo doesn't want to train any more minions. I remember how much he loved PhillyBear right from the start but that's because PhillyBear was obviously much bigger than Milomute. 🤣 Milo's gotten wiser because he's seen he can dominate just as he did with Niko and Teddy. Kodi also falls in line to General Milomute. Hopefully all will get along well as they continue to be near one another. All are incredibly adorable. 💜💚🧡💙💜

You should do the introduction in a space with a cat tree. That way, the cats have a place to go and feel safe, and realize the new creature is not a threat.
