Even tho I'm late to the party I am completely in love with Arcane and his characters, as League of Legends player I can't explain how well this show is done, really hope you like this video, specially the second part where I tried to edit the fight between the 2 only persons that really loved Jinx: Vi and Silco, and her final choice!

It's really hard for me to admit this, but after spending 7 years taking care of my suicidal mother, with my father leaving and my family abandoning us because of the drama and my brothers moving to Mexico. I felt utter betrayal and pain. Rage that pushed me, I began to learn to become sadistic, cruel, breaking down in the middle of nowhere and screaming my lungs out because of the pain. I was breaking, to the point of no return, no one has ever been as close to that feeling as jinx's character. The explanation of that pain. The trauma of it all.
The pain of jinx is real for some who watch, besides the sadness of watching it, the sheer pain is personal to some

I mean, my mom was aggressive an depressive and now I am too... so I wisch you all the best and if you want to read a book with which you can also relate, you can try The Tributes Of Panem or the Movie Hunger Games. It actually made me realise that early on in the series Silco refers to Jinx in third person, like when he says "Jinx's perfect", even though she's right there.
Silco knew that Powder was still in there and that his Jinx "project" was flawed but he never gave up on her. He begs her to let her weakness go, to chose Jinx over Powder over and over again, but she never really sticks to one or the other, always hanging between the two.
At the very end, when Powder kills Silco in Vi's defence, he knows that it will cause Jinx to completely take over and finally he addresses her directly, not saying "Jinx's perfect", but rather "You're perfect", because he knows that Jinx is the one's mourning him and that is the persona that she ultimately choses to be.

I mean it is because "Jinx" is what VI called her. Jinx is what he named her to actually confront the things that happened in her past. Instead of beeing crushed by her sister callling her a jinx and shunning her because she was a child that messed up, Silco just accepted her for who she was, he had been in the same position. The name Jinx is a way to own that loss and to make it strong, just like she is.
(a lot of people dont realise that she is on the same level as Jace and Viktor, as she worked out aweapon from the same material as they both succumed to.)
Actual perfection. The sound design throughout the video was sublime, the quote placements and the pacing was brilliant along with the transitions between songs. A genuine masterpiece brother, I loved it so much!🤍

Honestly this was the type of recap we all wish was used to recap the entire first season of arcane(or at least jinx’s plot line) the quality was way above what I expected (and my standard are high cause fan made stuff is almost always amazing) just impeccable quality (for anyone who doesn’t know what that means it means extremely good)

When she screams while launching the rocket and the audio transitions into the melody of the song.. wow.. just wow..
I felt chills. The pain, love, loyalty. I felt every breaking moment of Powder. She goes from that innocent child to a killer. And it's when she finally sits in that chair that Powder is no more. All that is left is a finely tuned, cold-blooded, killing machine. Rest in peace Powder.
Jinx's story arc is so melancholy.She didn't have anyone until Silco raised her as his own daughter.Then when Vi did come back it was like she had to choose to be Powder for her or Jinx for Sico.
And that is what bpd feels like. that's part of why jinx is BPD coded.

My heart.. Those quotes are really powerful. They hold so much power but also so much pain beneath that. Silco was a great villain. He did so many bad things but also so many good things. Like raising Jinx as his own daughter because he knew what Jinx went through. That betrayal as he said is *that pain that feels like it will eat you from the inside out, can either break you or forge you into something greater.* With that being said he said to her that Vander and even Vi betrayed her and also that she must leave Powder die so she can forge into something greater (Jinx). He wasn't the best dad that will let her daughter follow what she really wants. He manipulated her of doing what he wants but that also doesn't mean that he didn't loved her. She loved her as his own daughter 💙.
Yeah but the line that still hits more hard to me is:
"are you real?"
I’m glad u said Silco was a great dad, but also was manipulating her, many ppl either say one or the other
I actually cried when he died because it seemed like he really sympathized with her and truly cared for and loved her. Obviously he had deeper rooted issues which he inflicted on Jinx by manipulating her, but it really seemed like he wouldn’t trade her for anything.
I agree with this. People seem to be too focused on whether Silco was a good dad or a bad one, like its simply black or white. Part of what makes this show so good is nothing is that simple.
Silco was a flawed Father, he genuinely loved and cared for Jinx and I believe he was well meaning with him genuinely believeing that the lessons he was teaching her and the path he was leading her on were what was best for her, that they would help her become stronger. In actuality he essentially manipulated her into becoming a weapon/tool to further his goal, and such a thing wasnt what she needed but he did do it with the best intentions and the genuine believe it was the right thing to do.
Feeding and encouraging someone else's psychosis isn't love, it's narcissistic, selfish, and evil.

When I miss Arcane I come to hire and get goosebumps repeatedly.
I can feel what Jinx feels. This is Masterpiece.
She felt like she had to choose between Powder and Jinx, all she wanted was to be accepted for who she was. Life became real all to fast when she chose Vi, she became the betrayal that has been killing her. She chose to save Vi and she chose Jinx, she saw Vi would never love her for HER, so might as well be the monster everyone everyone her as, the monster they created.
I love Vi, but it was both her action and inaction that created who powder/jinx is, she is not and can never be one or the other the other. She is both, was both, and when she did the one thing that was killing her for so long, she saw no one would ever she her for who she is, so be the monster, the weapon, Silco, the one person who trusted her, saw her as. "Fuck everyone for everything they have done to me"

Such a beautiful edit... the sound design is absolute perfection along with the placement of both quotes and scenes... it really conveys just how much Jinx struggled with losing Vi as well as her growth from Powder to Jinx, for better or worse. Even better though, in my opinion, you did a beautiful job conveying Silco and Jinx's trust and love for one another, as twisted and disturbing as it could be sometimes - because all in all, their relationship really is just two wounded souls who found a confidant in one another, and I think it's beautiful, even if they are the villians
