Wow! Fin Whales are so amazing! Whales, in general, are fascinating animals. Recently, our crew talked to a project that is working on decoding whales' communication; how amazing would this be??
FIN Whales are fast and beautiful with extended dive times that make tracking and sighting difficulty. Wonderful overhead imagery of this amazing aggregation of Fins feeding in such close proximity.
Thank-you for this and to all those doing what they can to bring all of these great creatures back to the numbers of them that should be here- they are gorgeous, powerful and very much needed on all levels.
A humbling experience to watch such a wonderful spectacle, realizing the amount of damage humans have cause to a very delicate balance by our greed and ignorance
Absolutely breathtaking! The world needs to understand how important it is to take care of all creatures big and small. If we don’t the fate of our planet is in grave danger.
Looks amazing, the closest I’ve seen to this was the mass Basking Shark gathering last September in Kilkee Co.Clare, fingers crossed they show up again in the next few weeks
Nope, I've personally seen 99% of the ocean and its all pretty dull. The Octopodidae were halfway fun to talk to. Constantly cracking their "You know Octopuses are taking over the Earth when..." jokes. The whales, as a whole, were a little stuck up...always talking about their trips to Hawaii, Alaska, Martha's Vinyard...it got old. At least the Orca Pods had some good shark stories and recipies.
In Indian state of Maharashtra along the west coast of India (Arabian sea) these r called "Dev Maasa" meaning the "God fish" by the fishermen community & their sighting is considered a good omen & hence they r never hunted.
Doesn't look like that's what's happening here but interesting question which will send me off on a Google hunt. I do know humpback whales use the bubble net method.
Fishermen please don't throw your damaged nets into sea, as well as if you find some try to recover it. It may save some life. Karma always pay you back.
Nat Geo: do you realise that having a long-running series of a (so-called) live (buut actually recorded years ago) feature stops subscribers from being notified by UA-cam of your most recent posts??
My prayer to mankind to decrease the pollution and move to renewable resources. Atleast try to throw your garbage to right places whenever you can. You may have to carry it little far to a bin. But in mass it really helps to save our beautiful mother nature and planet.❤️❤️❤️
Not even second largest alive right now. Bowhead, Southern and Northern right whales, and sperm whales are bigger. It is just second longest vertebra alive today but way shorter than many sauropod and gigant ichthyosauruses
It's not weird. Do your own research into your statement and then you might find answers. Don't rely on people on UA-cam to explain it to you, because obviously, in a year nobody has responded but I bet you haven't looked anything up to figure it out yourself since then. Am I wrong? I'd like to be but that's most likely not the case, unfortunately. Cheers
These beautiful creatures need to be treasured and respected... This world needs to be treated with respect
The world needs rid of us parasites
You can also see some humpbacks feeding along with them. Absolutely beautiful.

That sounds like such a cool project!
@@NatGeo Totally! You check it out here, it's called: How an AI is Trained to Translate Sperm Whales | Whale Chatbot :)

Apparently these giants can swim as fast as 47 Km/h. That's faster than Usain Bolt from 25m long 50 ton beast.
What about a brydes whale
Thank you National Geographic!
Thank you for being a part of this channel!

Beautiful 😍 how amazing our planet can be
Thank-you for this and to all those doing what they can to bring all of these great creatures back to the numbers of them that should be here- they are gorgeous, powerful and very much needed on all levels.

What the oceans conceal beneath the waves is far more wonderful than what the land exposes above the soil.
The oceans hold so much to appreciate and explore!

Yeah whales are interesting animals
Absolutely breathtaking! The world needs to understand how important it is to take care of all creatures big and small. If we don’t the fate of our planet is in grave danger.

Look amazing! Imagine if anyone stuck among those whales what will happened?
This is just super rare
We've only been in 10% of the ocean. Can you imagine all that we haven't discovered yet?
Only Allah knows
I always think about this! 💜✌🌊
Mind blowing...same with space exploration
@@ginnashupper725 yes Only the creator of the universe would have the knowledge of that

Gigantic fin whales - spectacular!
Do they release water bubbles to catch prey!

I think this should be the ABC for fishermen
Iam pretty sure no Fisherman will ever read your comment!
@@adarsh4764 that should be common sense.
As a person who is married to a fisherman in the US, they don't throw them in the ocean. They can be repaired and are very expensive.
@@missrayelyn3045 And yet, many end up discarded in the ocean and do untold harm...
Wow, I counted at least 10 whales there! 😮😂
💜
What song is this? It's so beautiful!
thats crazy

They are having a meeting to discuss what to do about governments dumping their waste into their ocean. Sad but BEAUTIFUL
Sadly, there's not much they can do. So much of earth's wildlife is dependant on what humans do.

They look like normal-sized fin whales to me. Not gigantic fin whales.
Fin whales in general are gigantic

And now 2024 September, japan started hunting the fin whales so that their meat can be sold in their vending machine.
