I finally talk about my Destiny 2 exotic weapon concept.

It should be the origin story auto rifle, because in every cinematic cut scene since the start of Destiny 2, Commander Zavala has used the origin story.
Also it is Lance Reddick's most used weapon

While commanders lance is active the weapons should become anti barrier until the perk wears off

@@DoClain makes it unique from swashbuckler, maybe it can also have 6 or 7 stacks instead of five so it isn’t just swashbuckler but with anti barrier
Yeah I would agree. I was using the swashbuckler as a baseline because of the easy comparison.
They need to do this in respect to what he has done for this game. Bungie has its hits and misses all the time. But this would be TRUE HIT for the franchise and his family for his legacy to live on in this game.
I mean zavala was the only vanguard member who hasn't been recasted at all respect needs to be shown twords lance
I love the idea, i had the idea of an exotic trait “holding the line” or “rallying point” which when standing still while firing it gets greatly increased stability and greatly increases damage over time
so a better version of a high impact frame?
They should add that to rockets because PEOPLE CAN’T ST-

I love almost everything about this exotic weapon that you have created! There's one thing that must be added. Quote "What makes a gun, a gun?" -Zavala
Plus, a dialog that tells us about his journey with his rifle.
Catalyst: When Commander’s Lance is active, increase fire rate and chance to reload from reserves on kill. (Chance increases slightly with each stack of Commander’s Lance)
it would also intrinsically boost stability and slightly increase recoil deviation. thoughts?

something to benefit from having stacks of commander’s lance and further reward you for playing in the front line really. I can already imagine some insane melee builds for each class with this. Not sure on its name tho
A catalyst would also give them the ability to fully fledge out this gun and our time with it, maybe it could even be craftable. something they can make for us(in the future) where they can add a good tribute for him and his time with this game and it’s community.
Idk if anyone remembers, but that sounds similar in function to Fabian Strategy: a Titan exclusive auto rifle from D1, which I'd be entirely in support of.

If we want to be realistic about the Frontline, it should include an option to change the weapon's rate of fire on the fly. As an M4A1 or M-16 has more than one firing mode than semiautomatic in real life.
Commander Zavala was an Awoken Titan with Arc Subclass abilities. I don't know if he was an Iron Lord, but I know he helped push back The Fallen in the early sieges of Earth along with Lord Saladin and Lord Shaxx. Maybe an auto rifle with his Arc Type should reflect that?
He literally popped a bubble when the tower was attacked.
@robertmorlet793 he used bubble to stay calm. Just like shaks he has issues controlling his anger. But he is a arc main that uses bubble to stay calm when leading a fight. It's a lore thing I believe.
You know what would have been cool. A helmet which matches his armor for an exotic. We never see their helmets and I thought I'd be cool

As a hunter I respect this cause I main hunter but destroy like a titan and protect like a warlock and remember guardians the commander was proud of us and he hopes we never give up
Love the idea! With Zavala being so emotional after recent events, now would be a perfect time for him to send us on this quest to craft his exotic AR: a D2 version of Fabian Strategy with new and improved perks… and with Big Blue’s second shoulder plate as the ballistic shield!
Taking hits should give you a small amount of damage resistance depending on enemy type

I kind want an Exotic VANGUARD themed Auto Rifle: Lance Reddick
That offers ALL of the combined perks of Surrounded and Threat Detector as it's TRAIT. But it's requirement is only TWO not three or more.
Catalyst: They call me HERO, LEADER, FRIEND,...TITAN.
First Primary slot
Switches between Auto Rifle Archetypes, and Fires Jolt Rounds.
It Can be swapped between the three auto rifle archetypes by HOLDING down the Reload button for 5-6.s
Auto-rifle, SMG, Shotgun Damage, Resilience, and Recovery are all increased by 5% When nearby other Titans (Max 6 stacks in PvE activites, and yes this does include yourself),
Deals Bonus damage to Barrier Champions, and has 75% chance to Jolt Unstoppables.

I've been thinking in a M4/M16 Zavala's exotic auto rifle/pulse rifle since I saw Zavala's history trailer.

I would love to see a Titan exotic armor piece for arms made from his shoulder armor. Idk what it would do, but his shoulder piece is sick
I think this weapon should be a Void Kinetic, in the 600 rpm frame because Zavala uses void mainly, and the 600 rpm frame auto's are great all around auto's for pvp and pve.

id use the weapon just cause its a badass m4 and i like the more conventional aesthetic weapons but if they took it and added some bells and whistles as you put it to explain the perks that'd be cool as hell

The concept is good, however I feel that it should be modeled after the Origin Story auto rifle. Not only does zavala use it in alot of cutscenes, it is also Lance Reddick's most used/favorite weapon

I could see it. But the Khvostov (and therefore the travelers chosen) were our FIRST EVER weapons used for each game.. but still not a bad idea
Man this is such a cool idea! I'm already thinking of ways this would work in a build lol. This gun with the invocation helm would be nuts.
Given that we have gun that does extra dmg to cabal/its traits are oriented to fight Cabal, I think Zavala's gun traits should do extra dmg to Fallen.

the real life counterpart's rpm is around 850, so the destiny equivalent would be 720, and it would make sense since it would've been a while since the gun was manufactured so some dilapidation would definitely occur
Would be cool if they make it the only 900rpm autorifle. Like how sunshot is the only 150 handcannon.

I thought of a cayde exotic. The Glock and Balls, it’s a exotic sidearm. The perk is crazy 8, and what it does is after a kill you can hold down the trigger to fire 8 high damage projectiles that bounce and seek out targets, and they explode on impact damaging near by enemies, it has high caliber rounds and its catalyst give it outlaw
That was my favorite, when he changes mags in between enemies.

When I saw the design of the M16 on the thumbnail I got super excited cause I thought it was real.
It’s melee into gunfire combo should look like the one Zavala did in the cutscene of his origin…where he gunbutts the taken flips the gun around and shoots a few shots
First I want to say I like the creativity you used for your design. Especially with the names. I honestly didn’t know there were multiple content creators coming up with exotic idea videos since this was the second one I have had suggested to me by youtube. Since others are posting ideas here is mine.
Have the bullets switch between the elements Zavala used since in the scene shown in this video he used arc and when the tower was attacked he used void to make a shielded area. When I say switch between elements I mean every other bullet is a different element in a set order sort of like how deterministic chaos applies status affects at certain bullet counts.
Not sure if having it apply status affects from the bullets that hit would make it over powered since it could work as a buildup effect instead of immediate effect, but if it did give stuff it could for arc jolt after a set amount of shots and on kill as a nod to the scene shown in this video while the effect of the void rounds gives the user and nearby allies some overshield after a set amount of shots and on kill as a nod toward Zavala creating a shielded area to protect them at the tower. If solar was included to finish the cycle of light power it could scorch enemies. This way you have the abilities focused on dealing damage while working with others instead of on killing stuff creating a more team friendly weapon, and the trigger based on shot count instead of hit count helps ensure triggers against enemies besides killing them while the kill trigger ensures low health enemies can still trigger it. I also feel like it would have high handling with how he swung it around and used it to melee at times.
I think I would want the name of the Gun to have Lance’s name in it sort of like The Vanguard’s Lance or Lance Of The Charge. It could be a pulse rifle to make the bullet element change easier to code if they also give it the full auto mod to better match how Zavala uses his gun, but I would prefer an auto rifle that either shoots like a normal auto rifle or rapidly shoots bursts. I would name the ability for the bullets switching elements or being multiple light elements at once The Commander’s Light.
Edit: When I say overshield I mean a small one so it isn't too much.

I love the homage to Lance and would also like there to be an armor set and primary/special/heavy weapon made in his name so his legacy will be perminently imprinted in everyone's play style in their own way. I like how the perk reloads the mag as you are hit, but instead of swashbuckler you make it an increasing damage reduction. It will stack 5 times and will go up by 5% in pvp and 7% in pve. Max stacks on a melee kill as well as a full reload (as we see in the cutscene at: 1:47). i feel like damage reduction fits the titan gameplay loop better since there are plenty of ways to get overshield right now.

You could use a fusion rifle reload as there is a bolt release
I know I two weeks late, but to add on to this (love the idea), I am adding a catalyst to this to give it an increase to stability and the perk Osmosis (you know for being a gardens wepon)

Definitely a cool idea but would need some more ideas like wanting to put a different scope on it if you didn't want to keep an iron sight on it

Each kill generates a stack for a maximum of ten. Consume all ten stacks to get the following perks.
Maximum output for your highest armor stat.
Significantly increased ability and super Regen
Effects lasts for 1 minute.
Ability and super Regen buff speed are similar to the Regen speed in the chaos matches in Crucible where your abilities and super Regen in less than thirty seconds.

I think they should just bring the armor set zavalas armor is based off into the game for titans and for all classes there will be a shader based off his red white and brown
If we do get the spear I'd want it to work the same as the synaptic spear from the battle ground missions, 3rd person slam and throwable
I can get behind this statement...but definitely needs to be tuned so that it isn't unbalanced
The push forward sounds dope but since the weapon is a dummy old m4 or m16 I can’t remember what if we give it a exotic perk that reference that weapons age how about a perk called rustic rounds or old rounds were it would cause bleed damage that damages both of the targets health and shield due to the rounds being so old it basically shatters upon impact with a chance of ricocheting to another target but doing half of the damage and overtime damage and the ricochet will only activate on the initial impact of the target hopefully this doesn’t sound op or it already been done before
The Catalyst should give you damage resistance to go hand in hand with the Overshield
I think that if you made the exotic have a melee effect like with glaives would be awesome. Kind of like what people were talking about doing with the Monte Carlo or the Duty Bound ARs. Titans are all about punching things to be truthful. I kind of figured that Bungie would bring back the Fabian Strategy in some form as a tribute to Lance Riddick.
Commander's Lance sounds like the perk that Monte Carlo has. Markov Chain I think it's called?
It should be the origin story exotic version which changes between pulse and auto the pulse side arc the auto side solar. And great idea the overshield every few kills.
At first hand thos sounds op for pvp but with proper tuning it'll work

It would be great to put that weapon in. They could nerf it later. Nothing wrong with a new broken gun in the name of the man who cradled us to the warriors we are today in game and in real life.

It would hurt too, if Zavala gives it to you with a little text speech about how it's up to you to take on the front lines now. Because, whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars.
