- Lance Reddick was the voice of Sylens, a key character in the Horizon series of games. He will be sorely missed. Guerrilla Games gave us a memorial to him in the latest addition to the game -- Burning Shores.

Why I am crying? 😢 What a truly amazing actor he was. He will be dearly missed. If there will be ever a Horizon 3, it won't be the same without him.
I still couldn't believe the news vecause it happened so abruptly. He looked so healthy too. I was invested with the Horizon series because of Lance Reddicks portrayal as Sylens. He was the most interesting character in the horizon universe. I can only maybe see Giancarlo Esposito reprising the role as Sylens and do it justice. I cannot even think of anyone else beside him now that Lance is gone. RIP
I was supposed to go see him at Steel City Con but I woke up hearing this tragic news from my dad!
It was great that they did this and it was a beautiful tribute.
They should have put it on the main map. So that players who did not buy this DLC could also appreciate him

@rondoggish to be fair, players who didn't bought the dlc probably aren't playing the game anymore.
@@blazn0 Also, this is where the Hollywood Walk of Fame would be so it was fitting. The other faded hologram squares are supposed to represent other stars.

You will certainly enjoy it! I'm very much enjoying Aloy as mounted archer. The right outfit makes it very effective and fun.
The memorial for Lance Reddick is one spot. There are 5 other spots for memorials. I wonder who they’re for..?
Interesting take on that I had not considered. Place holders? That location would be the Hollywood Walk of Fame so I took the others as "data corrupted" versions of Old World entries.
So what are they going to do with his character?
I wish I knew! Sylens was very much central to the story. Finish out his role with the AI we are hearing about in the news? Write him out of the story? Either way will be interesting.
@@Elkyri I think Sylens will go to Zenith's ship to explore space with an apolo's copy at the beginning of the third game after helping Aloy a little with something for nemesis, that's what Sylens wanted.
@@ericksandoval2135 that would be a clever way to get him off stage after first providing whatever info needed to start Aloy's new search/quest.
I don't think so, let's remember that at the end of the DLC, Sylens wanted to explore the companies in which they probably had some special weapon to defeat Nemesis, maybe they could say that in one of his expeditions he died and at the beginning of Horizon 3 it is seen some grave of his like Varl's, it makes sense since whenever an actor dies, his character does too
I think it’s possible that Keith David may take over the voice role of Sylens. He has a voice that is similar to Lance’s and has since been taking over for Lance’s character in Destiny 2. That’s the only possible solution. Since they are doing the live action Horizon series, I can easily see Phill Lewis (Mr. Mosby from Suite Life) portraying him.

@@Elkyri Thanks very much👍 I actually just finished this game for the first time today. I was mad about how Aloy spoke to Sylens during their last cutscene in the epilogue. I didn’t want to leave Sylens either, because it was hard knowing Lance passed away and that would probably be the last time we see Sylens. 😢
@@SallyCat84 Lance's loss is sure to be felt by all who love the Horizon story. I cannot imagine how they are going to work around it. A lot can be done with AI nowadays. Can they.... will they.... piece Lance's voice together to gently edge Sylens out of the storyline? He (Sylens) is such a wonderful character. Guerrilla did an excellent job walking him along the edge between ally and foe. He could be counted on.... but not too much.

@@FaisalAmbiya-cq1rk Ooops! Apologies! I checked my inventory and see it is the Utaru WInterweave Aloy was wearing for that recording. I have her in the Deadeye now but then she was wearing the Winterweave.
