No. Too much movement. That's why I moved to the province.
definitely if money is not an issue😂
We would for sure!
Just to let you know that me and my wife enjoy watching your videos. From Blackpool England.
❤️❤️thank you!
Welcome to the Philippines 🇵🇭 thanks for coming just relax and enjoy your time keep safe wherever you go
Thank you! 😃
nice! its mindblowing isnt it? this is just another face to the philippines that is unfrotuantely little reported or deemed 'not the real philipipnes' by people who dont understand how it works here. its a really diverse country with literally every kind of vibe and place you could imagine (short of snow). the development is inclusive and is shows how rapidly people are entering the middle classes and upper classes. all of these places were built from the ground up by local companies and land developers who responded to the demand for better places to work and 'fancy areas' to match a lot of the moderately disposable income here.
i work in ayala (the place you got the bus change) but i live out in the province. its a pretty normal thing for filipinos in the middle classes to straddle between the new world/futuristic philippines and the old familiar philippines on a daily basis, since the country's in this big transitory phase. for middle class filipinos and those entering the middle classes - places like bgc, makati, ortigas, eastwood, bay city, alabang, mandaluyong, it park etc are where we all work the typical office jobs or do clerical/customer support jobs; but most middle class people still live out in the provinces or the crazy chaotic streets of the older districts of the cities; either in subdivisions, condos/apartments, or typical cheek by jowl family built houses. many are the first gen in their families to socially mobilize, so if youre a millennial or gen z, your parents could have been farmers or worked in the street markets or went abroad doing nursing, but thanks to their sacrifices you benefit by having a full education and getting your family's foot into the middle class lifestyle. this is the effect of all the filipinos working hard abroad. this is where their money and investments were going into the whole time.
so for millennials and gen z filipinos (and diasporics like myself), ppl work in the fancy areas, get a drink or some after work dinner with workmates somewhere in the more budget friendly places; or occasionally go out to the fancy bars maybe for birthdays or occassions, but everyone commutes or drives back out to the peace of the surrounding provinces or to the old chaotic parts of the city where the rent is cheaper. then on the weekends people would get their friends or family together to drive up to baguio or drive south to the beaches in batangas, or the highlands around tagaytay or antipolo and experience that pristine side of the country. occassionally people also return to their 'ancestral hometowns' in different parts of the country (i.e. the rural Visayas or rural parts of Luzon) where it seems untouched by the modern world altogether. You get to live many different lives in the Philippines. I dont think that really exists in other neighboring southeast asian countries with maybe the exception of indonesia. All the other countries in this region are either fully developed like singapore, thailand or malaysia, or very underdeveloped like laos, cambodia or myanmar. This country is squarely between those two extremes and has flavors of both sides while still being safe and friendly. everyone here is hoping the country becomes the 'next malaysia' since it seems to be rapidly developing in the same way malaysia did back in the 80s and 90s. You should give the LRT 2 or MRT trains a try. I wouldn't go during rush hour (7-9am and 5-8pm) though, its brutal then!
5:36 When that guy said "I'm Pogi" it means I'm handsome. hahaha kulet e
Hahaha he got us😂

I just liked & subscribed your channel! Welcome to the Philippines! Enjoy! 👍❤🇵🇭🙏
I think the burgersteak is served with rice just because rice is more filling than potatoes. In the Philippines rice is staple food because it’s most filling
Welcome to the Philippines!
Mabuhay!!
Enjoy your tour and take care.

They are reclaiming an island now off the manila bay, to build another modern business and leisure district 2 to 3 times bigger than bgc!!

WAY BETTER TO GO TO BGC AT NIGHT. LIGHTS ARE AMAZING. GO ALSO TO OKADA MANILA TO SEE THE WORLDS BIGGEST SHOW FOUNTAIN.
It looks very futuristic at night with all the lights!
Mini Venice reminds me of the canal in Las Vegas, also had something similar to it in a mall in Tokyo
Yeah it’s very similar to the one in Vegas, just a bit more affordable😅

You need to tour intramuros and at night an adjacent Pasig River which the esplanade is located.
BGC is best visited at sundown onwards. too hot and not a lot going on during the day
You should have tried the spicy chicken joy dip in the gravy and peach mango pie is a must try.
Peach mango pie sounds delicious 😋

Oh you didnt go to the highstreet uptown and forbes town in BGC and the 5th avenue wheres the big 3D located?
We seen it, it was so cool!
❤❤❤
If i'm not mistaken, the place you play dart is at sta cruz manila, BGC is place of wealthy people
I would love to live and have a condo there in BGC but it's just too costly now a lot of the newer ones which are slightly less I believe may have been mostly sold..the real state property in BGC has skyrocketed in prices in the last
Ten years. Enjoy the Philippines 🇵🇭!!
5:35 "Pogi" translates to "handsome" in English. Haha they got ya. Harmless joke. I enjoy your vlogs, and your accents. Be well you two.
🤣🤣 compliment of the day
Yes Filipino spaghetti is sweet. You should come back at night time and the place comes to life especially in Bonifacio High Street and Uptown ❤❤❤
BGC is aesthetically superior city
You can try in Jolibee their peach mango pie or their tuna pie and of course their chicken, which they are famous for 😊

You can try chicken joy
Did you try Jollibee’s peach mango pie and the likes? Did they serve halo-halo? Try these sometime.
In the first few seconds of your video, I could tell that you were Scottish because of your accent. I’ve heard it before from Dale Philip and Rowena from Supernatural haha
How are you out in the heat? And wow you’re in really old Manila. Pls be careful of your belongings when riding public transpo (esp when people distract you). Keep it in front of you as much as possible (also in old Manila). I noticed you had a backpack on
🥰🥰🥰
❤️
you should've visited the football pitch at the bgc. maybe you could've displayed the typical euro football culture there! haha
Where is the football pitch located?
@@alanshannon3884 it's located at 8th ave. the pitch is called "turf bgc"
Visit balabac island palawan👍 or siargao..
That”s in Libertad. Be careful there. Pick pockets roam that area.
Pogi nice to meet you 😂
nice👍
Thanks
Where would you recommend a first time visit to the Philippines?
I’m working on going there sometime soon
It's my first time to hear Scottish accent. It's cute. Sounds like cartoonish? 😊
That’s the nicest thing anyone has ever said about a Scottish accent
Manila
Overshadowed? How? By what data? By whose research?
No matter where you are in Manila, you never get away ftom the smell of raw sewage.
The Philippines is the Ireland of Asia they say. Because asian countries doesn't used pronounced a R . There's more mega cities on the way like New Clark city or Cebu cities. While in BGC you can rent a electric scooter to explore much better than walking. Enjoy 😉
Hey guys
This is my first video watching from your channel
They are couple of UA-cam from Scottish lovely national
They are doing great work and great content
Hopefully your guys do the same
Have a good one
🇵🇸🇧🇩🌸
South east asia is heavily influenced by Chinese culture. But I would be careful about calling a local food Chinese in a different Asian nation, though similarities or connections are obvious. Asian culture has no boundaries hahaha. I am a Chinese living abroad for over 20 years. 😊
can you see TONDO from these skyscrapers who would belive devlopement can only be unequal
⭐️ I don’t know why anyone would recommend the Yum Burger. I’d rather let you try the Champ or the Chick’n Sandwich (not the Crunchy chicken burger… that’s not as good).
Chicken Joy for sure; then the Peach Mango Pie for dessert).
Added to the list for the next visit, thank you✌🏼
What time this video was taken? The video quality looks pale
Hello British people...
You should have tried their fried chicken in Jollibee
Next time..
Really wonder why you didn't tried the Chicken of Jollibee??
I believe it would be better for all of your vloggers to form a basketball team and just play there. definitely, you will always find a match
That would not end well 😂
PLEASE DONT MAKE COMPARISON OF ANYTHING YOU TASTE AND TRIED. JUST APPRECIATE THE FACT THAT EVERY COUNTRY OR CULTURE IS A DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE TO ENJOY!
APPRECIATION IS THE KEY TO ENJOY LIFE CAN OFFER!
You sound like you’re from Ireland or maybe Scotland.
The accent is just too sexy
Shangri-la hotels are in China.
FILINVEST City Alabang , ASEANA, and Ayala Center are beautiful than BGC.

19:03 you tongue twisted the BGC to BCG 😂 and you guys not even in BGC but close, check out high street go there, that is when you know you are in BGC
This happened throughout the day🤣🤣
Shangri-la is not Chinese, it's Malaysian.
Shangri-la is a very famous travel city in Yun'nan province of china. May be the same name?
@@user-ct2ri2yf2e Robert Kuok a billionaire from Malaysia is the owner of Shangri-la Hotels & Resorts under the business banner Kerry Properties & is spread in some parts of the world. He is of Chinese background & is considered one of the wealthiest Billionaires in Asia Pacific.
