My paternal grandma’s first husband was a taxi driver in Omaha in the 1940s, & she would ride around with him while he was on duty (even though I think she wasn't supposed to). While I was living in Omaha from 2002-2005, she & I used to talk about what HAD & HADN’T changed. One thing she said: 72nd was Omaha’s western limit back then. The Dodge St. Expressway was being built when I lived there.
