If you're single or a metro sort of person Benson is great. Try to be within walking distance of Maple St. Dundee is also a great and beautiful neighborhood. I'm Hanscom Park South myself. I like it.

I drive in west Omaha when I must. I'm always glad when I get back east of about 90th. So much less congestion. The street I hate most is 72nd. Any spot, any direction, any time. It is planed to be close for bridge replacement around 2025, at F street at the rail lines.

Should be noted. UNMC is buying up huge tracts of land in mid-town. Small businesses have been put on notice. In a few years they will have to relocate. You can see plans online. UNMC future growth/ plans. I don't have the link just now. Thanks.

Unless you work downtown, downtown is nothing but a crap hole. Nothing but crime, homeless people and terrible parking situation

I used to do pullups at that park there was a perfect bar that was part of an awning right next to that lake. Then they closed the park forever to build this I guess. Looks pretty cool but google maps literally shows the skate ribbon in the lake, did they make the lake smaller?

Omaha traffic is definitely going to suffer until the reconstruction of the I-29 junction is finished. I don't live here but I drive a semi through the area very often, and have observed how traffic behavior has been altered by this massive project. The ring roads definitely experience more congestion than they did 2 years ago, as does US-75 going towards downtown.

Omaha traffic is easy.. I can still drive 15 miles from Bennington proper to 72nd and Pacific in 25 minutes, during rush hour. I suppose to someone from rural Nebraska, visiting for the state track meet, it might seem bad. I do think east bound West Dodge is ready for metered ramps between 7:30-8am. This would help immensely, forcing a zipper merge.

The problem with driving in Omaha isn't the traffic, it's the SHITTY DRIVERS amd SHITTIER ROADS. The traffic here isn't terrible, and the interstate makes driving across the city quick. 💯 However, Omaha was voted the #1 worst city in the US for driving a few years back. And I can concur with this assessment because I was a Lyft/Uber driver for 3 years. The drivers here are NEXT LEVEL SHITTY, not just run of the mill bad... 💩 And the streets here are pure shit because there are potholes EVERYWHERE. We have extremely cold winters here, so the roads get salted, which destroys the roads. If you aren't watching where you drive, you can cause THOUSANDS of dollars in damage to your car.... 🙄
