why do you have to remove the gearbox from the truck? changing a seal in a driveline no one takes the rear axle off the vehicle. am i missing something ? i have a leaking seal on the rear of my m988 and i was wondering if i could change it out without removing the gearbox

You don't have to remove it. But I highly recommend it.
