- The first bio on a Beatles' song, and the first song is this random B-side? No one I've seen looks at this song seriously, so let's give some love to this weird song.

Loved it❤ Great surprise on the B side of The Let lt Be single. Made me smile ❤
There's a reason why they chose "take 9." Number # 9 was John's lucky number, and he used the number 9 as a metaphor for himself throughout his 40-year life. "Revolution #9" and "#9 Dream" were also examples of John's fascination with the number 9.
How do you tell me you're a mason ....without telling me you're a mason.
Thank you for providing this for us. Learned much.
amazing thing about the Beatles in the 60s was they didn’t rest on their laurels as soon as they finished one album, they kicked off the next one.
I like "You Know My Name ( look up the number)". It's a fun improvisation - just the four lads having fun and being silly. But if you listen intently there is a thread of a melody in it. And the instrumentation , especially the saxophone part, is pleasing to the ear.
I’ve always liked it. Like the Beatles , it has lots of personality .
Loved it always have nice surprise, wish they had made video it when they recorded it.
Loved Brian Jones playing the sax near the end. :)
I have always loved it. I bought the single Let it be in 1969 and as you say it was the B side.. I play this song more than the A side to be honest
I don't know how long ago this video was made but I absolutely enjoy that song it has such a bluesy style to it which makes it extremely enjoyable which in my personal opinion Paul added two it Paul has always been about old-timey music so it's definitely his style
I love the song. Total fun! Have used it at the library when she asked me for my card number- made her sing along with me! :)
I love this song. Especially how it begins. It was actually one of the first songs I ever heard from the Beatles.
I've always liked it, since 1970.
The fact that they released this just shows how much power they held at that point in time. I'm glad it was released because it is a novelty and shows the Beatles experimenting but this experiment failed.
I always loved this song - until this day.
I always liked it, as a really odd track, but fun! 👍
Dennis Odell or Obell was there engineer from the beginning. Starting with the hard days night movie. He wrote a book. Can’t remember the name. I have it somewhere. Great stuff.
I flippin’ love this song ahhh
This song always has reminded me of Monty Python.
I always thought this song was the Beatles attempt to emulate the Bonzo Dog Band, whom appeared in their film, Magical Mystery Tour.
Fun song
May the day come when Giles Martin remixes both the mono version and the full 6 minute version.
the lounge music portion is crazy
There are free video editors out there that don't put a watermark on your video. Just thought you might want to know. Enjoying your video.
This looks like a good place to bring up the misspellings. They ARE important. At the very least, even if they seem to do no harm, they make your work look amateurish, and like you don't know what you're doing. And the fact that it's so easy to spellcheck these days says that you just can't be bothered to ensure the quality of your presentation.
Complete with burps! Fun stuff. 🙂
I think it's one of their best! Very Northern...
It's Only A Nothern Song
I wish they’d say who sang which parts.
Good evening and welcome to Slaggers. There are 2 Brian Jones. He appeared on MIKE MCGEAR self titled LP 1974
Brian Jones of The Stones played on this. Brian Jones of The Undertakers plays on Mcgear.
Big Sky ( The Kinks Rule)- I know your name!
According to John Mean Mr Mustard was inspired by one of his teachers from Quarry Bank.
I always liked the song. Really. To this day I wonder who played piano on it.
This is music is not bad
This probably had something to do with Paul’s friendship with the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, who made an appearance in Magical Mystery Tour
Paul and Vivian ......same person.
Awesome video. Thank you so much.
I have had a question for ages: Do you know who sings the ska part of the Anthology 2 version?
I always thought it was just both John and Paul on that part
Okay… we’d like to know who is playing the Count Basie style piano at the end. Was it GM?
Fun song 😊😊
one of my fab songs.. grüße aus deutschland.
I LIKE THAT SONG. IT IS AN ORIGINAL SONG
You were hard to understand.
I loved 'You Know My Name (Look Up The Number). ¨What´s The New Mary Jane¨ on the other hand, I never could get into. (too much like Zappa´s crap.
As a kid getting into the band's catalog, I got Anthology 3 and listened to that song. First time for an 11 y/o, I didn't like it too much, but that was before I heard Revolution 9.

I love Rev-9 too. I used to know it by heart, like it was just another song if you can believe that.
I agree, Mary Jane is rubbish. No mystery why it didn't make the cut. But then again I feel the same way about Don't Pass Me Bi."
It was a fun song. It didn’t belong on let it be single. But the album didn’t have many songs. They had nothing for side two.
I'd listen to Revolution No. 9 before I'd listen to this song . . . .
