thank you for posting. it was nice to see another bagmaker sew this bag as everyone sews a bit differently or teaches differently. Hello from BC Canada.
Wonderful to have you back. I always feel that you go “our speed” when you do your tutorials. Easy to follow, very thorough and give confidence to those of us just starting…. Thank you so much!
Thank you for going over the pattern pieces and how to cut them! I was really confused and hesitant to make this as I could not understand the main piece and the folding. I'm finally starting to cut my bag out ! So excited to finish it!
I have a suggestion…I would and assume that others who would love you to do videos of how to do the cutting our portion of making bags. I know this Apothecary handbag appears to be tricky on what you need to cut and also what you need to interface . Thanks for all your videos I have learned so much from your style of teaching!
I just watched a video where the creator used non woven cut away embroidery stabilizer in the center of her strap to keep it from twisting. If the strap is 1” wide she used 1 inch stabilizer. Her straps were gorgeous.
i have been binge watching your videos. I bought the pattern for this bag because of you, and I think I've watched this video 4x now, because I'm more of a visual learner than reading the patterns. Thank you for your concise tutorials.
Another great tutorial! Thanks! Love the way you showed us how you do the bottom of the bag. I’m definitely going to try your way the the next time I make a curved bottom or ….any curves for that matter!
So darn cute. I just ordered my Judi industrial machine today. Going to pick her up Friday. Can’t wait then I’ll have to make this beautiful bag. Love ya hon keep up the great job
So nice to see you back and feeling re-energized and back sewing. Love your choice of color with the black accents. Love your new Kai scissors, aren't they gorgeous to use.
Great video as usual, thank you. I make my strap connectors in one piece with a long strip and cut them afterwards. It seems to make them much quicker.
Love this bag and your tutorial is awesome! I am waiting for my WPC to arrive so I can make my lining..I changed mine a bit by making rolled shoulder handles. Love them!
The bag is gorgeous and expertly created. But the nails! I am a sucker for a red nail. Beautiful! It still takes me hours to make a bag...goal is to be able to do one in under 2.
Oaklie (sp?) is absolutely ADORABLE, and so is your Apothecary! Love it in all vinyl. Thank you for this tutorial. I've been hankering to make this with vinyl or cork, but worry about top-stitching over the connectors with a Janome HD. Has anyone out there tried with a semi-industrial?
I would like to make up the outer of this bag in soft pink leather. I have an Elna 730 Pro. Will it manage? I love the sound of your machines little walking foot. In fact I find it quite addictive to listen you.....I really need a machine like yours😁
I notice that many people use waterproof canvas for lining...I don't like the way it gets scratch and looks awful...am I using the wrong side as the right side out...I understand that it doesn't require as much interfacing, but I don't like how it gets scratched up...please help.
Have you ever had issues with your zippers fraying from snipping the center? I usually mark the center with a pin to avoid snipping but wondering if I’m just being overly paranoid 😄
I've got a Janome HD3000 and I'm worried about topstitching over the handle connectors in vinyl or cork. I count 7 layers of vinyl/cork to sew through there. Otherwise, it looks doable. I think I'd fold the crossbody connectors over the top edges and rivet them on. If anyone out there has a semi-industrial machine and has made the bag in vinyl or cork, please let us know!
When you are finished with the seam are you cranking the handwheel to lift the foot and pull out the threads to cut? Or is there a knee lifter or something else
Dogs are precious so you don’t need to apologize for them 😊

Kasiah I love the way you go through the bag and it’s features before you start sewing. Thanks for all your wonderful tutorials! ❤️

What a gorgeous bag. Oh and you are my new favorite for bag tutorials. Thank you

Thank you for making this video. I finally made my Apothecary Tote and on a domestic with all vinyl and WPC.
I just watched a video where the creator used non woven cut away embroidery stabilizer in the center of her strap to keep it from twisting. If the strap is 1” wide she used 1 inch stabilizer. Her straps were gorgeous.
Wow Kassiah. This is the best looking version I’ve seen of this pattern. I think I want to make this now. Great job. Thank you.
Kassiah, you would truly be my hero if you could do a quick video on how you get your zippers pulls on and keep the zipper closed on both ends!!!
i have been binge watching your videos. I bought the pattern for this bag because of you, and I think I've watched this video 4x now, because I'm more of a visual learner than reading the patterns. Thank you for your concise tutorials.
Glad to see you back and feeling better.
I love the sound of your machine. I also really like the seafoam green of the vinyl.
LOL, I too enjoy the sounds of sewing machines.
I love a bag with not so many pieces with me being a beginnerat bags🙂. This is beautiful!!! Im going to start on mine this weekend
Awe the puppies! Welcome back so happy to see you!

Thanks for showing how to install the zipper end cap, it was very helpful... Thank you ❤️
Thanks so much for the tip of sewing straps. I have been having problems with my straps twisting. Will definitely try it your way.

Thank you for another great vid. I love the intro.
Thank you for another fantastic tutorial! Beautiful bag!
Clipping and stapling the corners is a great idea! I've just finished my first one, I had a tough time on the corners/ends.
The bag is gorgeous and expertly created. But the nails! I am a sucker for a red nail. Beautiful!
It still takes me hours to make a bag...goal is to be able to do one in under 2.
Perfect design.
I bought it and I'm going to make it.🤗
Thanks for the excellent tutorial.🤗

Great video! Working on my second one and definitely doing my base like you did!! Awesome tips💕
Love to watch your channel. I just found you about 3wks ago!

I love the bag your showing in this vedeo. I want one 😫 😩, 😆
I so love this utube and that bag. Good job
Very nice
Have you ever thought about using the back pockets off of old jeans as slip pockets?
Love those zipper pulls
Very Nice!!!
I would like to make up the outer of this bag in soft pink leather. I have an Elna 730 Pro. Will it manage? I love the sound of your machines little walking foot. In fact I find it quite addictive to listen you.....I really need a machine like yours😁
Honestly I don’t know all the different machines and what they can handle..
I love it!
Is you foot recovered. Absolutely gorgeous bag.
Iam your fan
I have learned to sew from your videos and now I am open g my Etsy shop thanks to you.
Could you please share where you get your beautiful bag tags.
I ordered them off of Alibaba.com 😊
@@SiahSwag thank you

Yes I think you are using the wrong side up.
I Willie love it 🥰
Where in Montana did you guys live? It is snowing up a storm in Kalispell right now.
Merci
I absolutely love this bag, will you be selling it in your shop?
Yes I will! Just listed it! siahswagbags.com/collections/handbags/products/apothecary-handbag
Have you ever had issues with your zippers fraying from snipping the center? I usually mark the center with a pin to avoid snipping but wondering if I’m just being overly paranoid 😄
No but I just do the tiniest snip…
So I see you have an industrial sewing machine. Can this be sewn on a Juki TL18 with just as ease as your sewing on this beauty you have?
I've got a Janome HD3000 and I'm worried about topstitching over the handle connectors in vinyl or cork. I count 7 layers of vinyl/cork to sew through there. Otherwise, it looks doable. I think I'd fold the crossbody connectors over the top edges and rivet them on. If anyone out there has a semi-industrial machine and has made the bag in vinyl or cork, please let us know!
I am not sure about all the different machine models…. A great place to ask people is my Facebook group 😊
@@SiahSwag I'm not on FB, so I ask here!
Bonjour,
Où trouvez vous le double face? Merci
Is this for the small or large bag? Thanks! great tutorial.
Small
Would you say this is domestic machine-friendly? I’m wanting to make it with a cork/cotton combo… but sadly I don’t have an industrial?
Yes just keep all your seams light!
Hello Siah. How are the puppies doing?
When you are finished with the seam are you cranking the handwheel to lift the foot and pull out the threads to cut? Or is there a knee lifter or something else
I am just getting the needle to the correct position to pull the threads
Hi do you use interfacing on the leather you get from Bodee oh. Thanks
Depends on the thickness of the material and the project… but yes you could
Siah, is the faux leather from Indolove Kreation too thick for a semi industrial machine?
Nope it should work great!
Tolle Tasche bekommt man das Schnittmuster auch auf deutsch ?
How was the faux suede yo sew? I just bought a bunch, but haven’t used it yet? Should it be interfaced? It seems kinda thin.
It is amazing. Depends on the type of bag you are making if it is more structured or not
Do you think that vinyl is domestic friendly; it looks a little thick in the vide0? Your handbag looks gorgeous!
I think it is if you keep all interfacing out of your seams and use a cotton lining…
HELP! I spoke too soon! Why are my side pieces too small???
Any update on how the fabric wears?
It wears fabulously!!
Okay I can’t wait to try it!! I’m still waiting for it to come back in stock ever since this video came out!! 😢
Kasiah please can you tell me what weight waterproof canvas you use . Xx
The WPC is an 11 oz weight 😊
@@SiahSwag thank you so much xx
Please name the letters of the pieces as the pattern says, thanks.
