Wendy Kennedy no doubt a relative of Luke's... For a trained Voice & 3x platinum artist Luke is quiet ordinary... his "diversity" is nice way of saying he is a jack of all trades a master of none.
I liked this but I don't see it as the best of this show (now I am fan of this show from the USA) for I see Harrison as the best oevrall. But this is great.

Dear Steffi: Ricky's interpretation was a stretch. The song is a feeling, not a message. Certainly the person in the song is not in a good place. It might be said that the person is self-destructive, but that's different from being in an abusive relationship, where the harm is coming from outside.
But you're right (I think): The song does romanticize a self-destructive, or at least self-demeaning, position. I was thinking, as I listened, boy, Miss Murphy sure makes it sound like the way to go.
Comparing Luke Kennedy and Karen Andrews in meaningless. Let's hear Kennedy sing Smokey Robinson. We've already heard him try to sing Stevie Wonder, and that's already an indication of how meaningless your comparison is.
