If you're looking for children's books centred on Scotland and Scottish life, there's nothing better than the Katy Morag books by Mairi Hedderwick. Set on the island of Struay, they are wonderful stories and the illustrations are beautiful. My daughters loved reading them when they were young and now their children are the same.
Hey hi, I`m a Scot and have just subbed because I really enjoyed this. We have lots of good farm shops in Scotland, but what caught my attention is that you guys know what you`re talking about. From the cows to plants and the goodies in store. Look forward to seeing more of your journeys!
Happy Thanksgiving ❤ totally understand the raspberry obsession. Just had a punnet of them yesterday, I treat myself weekly. Grew up with raspberry bushes at the bottom of the garden and Mum would always give my brother and I glass bowl to fill, to have after dinner. I'm hungry watching this and everything looks delicious. Amazing video guys, just found you today and really enjoyed that❤
Hi Mac I have have of those old grey fergie tractors Blair was on the seat the right way but instead of getting your left foot past the gearstick you just swing that your left leg over the steering wheel :)
Belted Galloways, I pass by two of these on my bus journey near Selby! Always wondered why they both looked exactly the same but now I’ve seen more of the exact same looking cows in the UK!❤❤
Hi Mac and Blair would definitely recommend Bents it's in Warrington so I'm not sure if it's too far for you to come but well worth the journey if possible...also if possible bring the kids there's a lot for them to do it's more than a Garden centre and so magical at this time of year 😊
It's funny seeing Gloagburn on UA-cam - pronounced Gl-Oge-burn . It used to be our local farm shop until it became too popular and ridiculously over priced. Their sausage rolls are good though, so we occasionally head there still. If you like Beatrix Potter, head to Birnam, just up the A9 from Perth, there's an exhibition and garden dedicated to her there... Also, if you want even more overpriced Scottish stuff, head to House of Bruar north of Birnam and Dunkeld, near Blair Athol. Enjoy your trip!
Farm shops to visit I recommend Hillers Dunnington Heath Farm ALCESTER B49 5PD It’s around 1 hr away from where I live in Sutton Coldfield A lot of the meat comes off the Ragley Hall Estate which is around 15 minutes away Also great place to eat 🏴🏴🏴🏴❤️❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧☝️☝️☝️☝️😀😀😀
Hi, nice video thank you. If you are ever down South, eg: Kent, look up Polhill garden centre, near Sevenoaks. It is huge and has everything, plants, restaurant, furniture, clothes, butchers, bakery, groceries, toys, Lots of Christmas stuff this time of year, aquariums, pet store,, garden sheds, cabins, greenhouses, garden tools, etc, etc. You can easily spend a good couple of hours looking round, well worth a visit if you ever nearby. Really like your family vids, keep them coming.....Cheers
I pride myself on knowing plants... I don't know them all so I can make mistakes. It is rare for me to come across a known species but a completely unknown variety or growth habit. Check out my UA-cam Gardening channel Dr. Mac's Garden Style @macsgardenstyle where I tour garden centers, botanical gardens, and have related plant based adventures.
Steady on Maggie. He corrected himself. Jezzo. I'm over the moon that these Americans loved my local farmhouse. It looks impressive on video. I take it for granted, being so local, to to see it from someone else's view, is lovely.
Wow, American visitors that are not only polite and well mannered, they are actually educated. Subscribed.
Thanks for the sub 👍
@@MacandBlair nae bother.

Farm shops are usually pricey but well worth the extra for something different to supermarket offerings.
Shopped here a few times plus they serve really nice meals
Love Gloagburn, cakes are so good!

Don't spend a fortune buying raspberries. Get a bush and grow them. They are very easy to grow.
So true.
@@MacandBlair When I was a kid in Scotland I'd pick brambles/blackberries that were growing wild so now I object to having to pay so much for them. 🤣
Leaving minus an arm and a leg.
WTF does that mean ? 🤔
@tradeladder146 it cost an arm and a leg (very expensive)
Did you get the apple and blackberry pie. Dont get much more english a pudding than that.
Why have plants got to be mislabelled just because you don’t recognise them?
Sounds not only rude but incredibly arrogant .
