I think they should give spinda a custom move call "Spinda express" where spinda says "I'm gonna put you through the Spinda express" and then puts the opponent through the Spinda express. This will make spinda viable.
I've always liked Carnivine, wouldn't mind him getting some love. A bit late now, but I remember James had one in the anime, so back then I don't think it would be too farfetched that he'd at least have some fans.
Solrock and Lunatone could evolve after leveling up together in a double battle and fusing together. Like a reverse shedinja. Idk. Imagine something like "boulclypse", a rock/psychic type that has a good matchup against dark types because of a signature move or ability. I think this has potential personally
Maybe give the evolutions a rock-psychic "stellar" form as a basic. When it uses a fire move, it becomes it rock/fire "sun" form and when it uses a dark move, it becomes rock/dark "moon" form. If they each have different stats, then it would have the advantage that your opponent wouldn't know if they switch into a wall or a sweeper.
Better idea, they evolve if one of them levels up in a battle where the other one is present. If Lunatone evolves in the presence of a Solrock, it becomes a solar eclipse because "the moon is in front of the sun". It takes Solrock's 95 attack and puts it into it's speed. Making it a decently fast special attacker with 95sp.att and 95 speed. Leaning into it current niche of having meteor beam, it could have an ability that acts like a power herb; the first two turn move it uses it instantly fires off. Name the ability something like "lunar congregation". If Solrock evolves in the presence of a Lunatone, is becomes a lunar eclipse because "the sun is shining off the moon". It takes Lunatone's 95 special attack and puts it into it's special defense. Evolved Solrock ends up being a decently stated bulky Pokémon with 90HP, 85def, 95sp.def. Solrock has access to recover and cosmic power, so it's defensive move pool is really good. Give it a signature ability to mitigate the bad defensive type of rock/psychic, or make it a rock/fire type and you have a defensive powerhouse. If you have both level up in the same battle, they could either both evolve into the types above, or they can become unique forms where they're perfectly balanced. Being split down the middle and you getting two of the same Pokémon (not reverse Shedinja but evolving into the same type of Pokémon). Taking the highest stats of the two, they'd basically become a weird mixed attacker amalgamation. It wouldn't be too powerful over the other versions because it's BST would still only be 520. Balance it out by giving it a restricted movepool, possibly like an old gen stone movepool where it doesn't learn anything else by level up after evolving, then give it a less impactful ability selection or something more generalist. This evolution would play off of them being opposites as well, since Lunatone and Solrock has the same stat block but just distributed in a different way (Lunatone is special and Solrock is physical). When evolved that just play off of offense vs defense instead of special vs physical. Although they wouldn't have the same BST because it's replacing speed instead of attack; but that's fine in my mind.
I actually once had the reverse idea, while not a buff I think a little floating sleepy pebble baby Pokemon that ties them together as Tyrogue did for the Hitmons would be really cute. They should also get buffs ofc, but we haven’t had anything like Tyrogue since and it’s kind of a worldbuilding shame. My name for it was Pebblight and it was baby.
5:00 about miltank: Similar to Tauros, you could go the regional variant route, using the different cow breeds to justify different typings. On a personal proyect of mine I made a regional miltank that's fairy type based on the jersey cow, with a fairy/ice and fairy/ground variants based on more hairy/muscular variants respectively. Idk, cows are such a diverse group, there's a lot of design space there ❤
If Game Freak ever develop a Pokémon region based on India, they'll certainly have no choice but to give Miltank something... unless they create a new cow-based Pokémon for it and then leave Miltank forgotten.
Mega miltank would gain the steel typing and its udders would become a gatling gun that delivers high pressure milk blasts. This evolution would really put the tank in miltank.
Would be funny if spinda got a new form that they unlock when getting confused, where their natural confusion and the new confusion cancel each other and they become weirdly strong for some reason
Then to maintain the theme of its BST being 360 like a circle, it gets 720 BST with 120 in all stats. Since it is now more powerful and still a little confused, it is now confused about its type and constantly questions it. So it has an ability where it can change its type to anything, and has a powerful signature move that corresponds to that type. I think such a Pokémon would be pretty strong.
PLEASE keep your promise to druddigon at the end. Every since I became a fan of pokemon, druddigon has always appealed to me. I love its design, movepool, and abilities (that stat distribution could be worked on though.) There's a lot of druddigon fans out there, and we're all praying that it gets an evolution in ZA.

Spinda evolution proposal: Kaleida (pronounced like "collider." As in kaleidoscope.) Has rotationally repeating patterns over its skin Evolves after hitting itself in confusion 3 times in a row. Normal/Fairy type Base stats: 120 HP/Def/SpDef, 60 Atk/SpAtk/Speed As kaleidoscopes have rotational symmetry, the stats here similarly have symmetry, each pair adding to 180 degrees. Keeps Contrary as a hidden ability, but now also gets a new unique ability: Dazing Dance - Once per battle, on switch-in, confuses all pokemon on the field, including itself. Have fun!
Carnivine holds a lot of nostalgia for me. I got obsessed Pokemon as a kid at the beginning of Gen 4, and I got a bunch of Pokemon toys. One of which was a Carnivine! I loved its design, just the idea of a freaky plant that wanted to eat you was exciting to my child brain.
@@SupahTrunks7 It’s possible! I don’t remember what brand or specific line it was, but it was just a little plastic mold with movable arms. There were a bunch of Gen 4 pokemon made in the same style, little plastic Pokemon with minor articulation.

I like it the way it is. It's not supposed to be used, it's just there as a gift to give to your loved ones. Like "This is a sign of my love for you and I want you to have this." And then you'd get a cute watery heart that's your pet. That's it, that's all there is to Luvdisc. It doesn't need love, it IS the love.
@@MaximillionPegasusJ.Crawford Fair enough. But I do think there are better things to give to your loved one imo. We all have our own opinions, though...and that's totally okay!
Luvdisk are supposed to 'kiss' each other by locking mouths in the lore, so clearly the evolution should be a butterfly made of two Luvdisks combined. At least then they could get quiver dance.
Concept to give Milktank a niche, just make a move where it feeds milk to it's ally, restoring 50% of it's health, the difference is that unlike other healing moves, this move can heal any ally, even those who aren't on the field, so you could heal your Moltres that got it's health lowered by rocks earlier for example.
Some of these look extremely cool, so I wouldn't really want them to (mega)evolve. A lot of these Pokémon could use a busted signature ability, like Tropius just getting big tropical defense, Solrock/Lunatone some orbital attack boosting, Kecleon changing its type while getting attacked to resist etc.
It’s worth saying that they aren’t above just giving pokemon stats between generations. Pelipper went from 85 base SPATK to 95 from Gen 6 to Gen 7. I remember them buffing Pidgeot a little that way too, so that’s never out of the question.
But a maximum of like 3 pokemon by 10 BST at a time. Dustox and Beautifly are desynced because whoever does the buffing doesn't really care they just throw 10 BST at about anything.
I remember Carnivine because he was in the anime and fulfilled the "Pokemon who loves James so much as both a friend and a meal" role. Outside of that, I do not ever think about Carnivine.
Interesting how many of those Pokémon were introduced in Gen 3... granted, a lot of them were actually decent in their debut game, but I think it shows a little bit of a different design philosophy when it comes to designing a new Pokémon's stats back then. They were designed only for their introductory game in mind without any care for future potential. Also, thank you for properly representing my feelings about Tropius from back when I played through Hoenn for the first time. A new evolution would definitely fit Druddigon because it actually does look like a middle-stage Dragon type a little bit. I'm sure they can add something cool to its design.
It’d be cool if Seviper got Merciless. If nothing else, it’d play off of both of Zangoose’s abilities being poison-based. Merciless itself is also kind of unfortunate. It’s a cool premise for an ability, and then it gets stuck on the tank that gets Regenerator.
If Kecleon got an evolution I think it would be cool to give it a move like "Colour Burst" where it's a high base power move that matches your current type and reverts you back to Normal type. This would be kind of similar to Burn up but it would be reusable through kecleon using Colour change and Protean to change type.
Mega miltank would gain the steel typing and its udders would become a gatling gun that delivers high pressure milk blasts. This evolution would really put the tank in miltank.
The reason why I like gen 4 designs so much is that it created so many evolution for previous gen otherwise neglected pokemon. gliscor weevil roserade tangrowth electrowires etc. Their designs are all so good and fitting.
A Carnivine evolution where it grows more heads and becomes a hydra-esque creature would be neat. Could be a Grass/Dragon type, though keeping it as a mono Grass type would work well too.
"male Miltanks" So Tauros lol? Not really sure Gamefreak will to want to give Miltank an evolution, otherwise, they'd have to make 4 designs for Tauros and his regional variants as well. But to be fair, they could probaby get away with giving Miltank regional variants like they did with Tauros.
I'm a fan of luvdisc! It was one of the few pokemon I could draw as a little kid playing pokemon sapphire. Got my luvdisc (named Love, I was not creative) into the Lilycove museum for winning the master rank beauty contest and was delighted because I could draw that! It's not my favorite pokemon or anything but I feel warmly towards it.
I love Carnivine! I think the design is awesome, and as a little kid, I thought I was such a smart, tricky person having a Grass type with Levitate. "Hehe, this is the ultimate Pokémon to switch into an opposing Ground Type! It doesn't even have Tropius' double weakness to ice!" Two ideas I have for evolutions would be a branched evolution for Carnivine. Let's just call the evolved form Vinepyr. Vinepyr Grounded Form would be Grass/Ground with Grassy Terrain as an ability, suggesting a Carnivine that took root in the ground and spreads it's root tendrils outward. Vinepyr Hunter Form would be Grass/Electric with Levitate, suggesting a Carnivine that adapted to human encroachment upon its terrain and deforestation by developing electric attacks to menace their machines and hunt birds and flying prey.
I love discus fish, the basis for luvdisc. I think an amazing evolution further based on the incredibly diverse patterns and colors on discus would be fantastic without risk of crossing into alomamola’s territory.
It killed me that in S/V they gave not one but THREE regional variants to tauros, yet they didn't give it an evo or at least a pre-evo in common with miltank to tie them together
Asking for a Kekleon evolution is like asking for a Ditto evolution, they're gimmicks, they don't need power to be interesting. I do hope A-Z gives the others some love tho. Maractus is one of my favorite pokemon, and I'm over here praying for Hatecube.
I saw a concept for a Luvdisc evo once where it's the same but it gets a big shark-tooth grin that makes it look like a broken heart. By my money that's the best idea anyone's ever had for this thing.
I think a cool Solrock Lunatone evo would be like leveling one to 30 something with the other in your party consumes both pokemon to produce the evolution, kinda like the opposite of Nincada turning into two pokemon when it evolves
Tropius does have five move slot options that make it a valuable companion in an ingame team: Cut, Fly, Strength, Flash, and Rock Smash. I had many an Emerald playthrough back in the day with four combatants plus Tropius and Wailmer as their valued friends. That said, I do wish for an epic evolution for this epic dinosaur. With inspiration from Parasect, I would suggest a design with very large bananas which have taken over the dino's mind.
Carnivine is likely singlehandedly responsible for me never clicking Earthquake on any Pokémon that looked like it wasn't touching the ground; there are plenty of Pokémon like Magnezone that are floating but don't have Levitate, but Carnivine is the rare exception that actually does for some reason.
I really love the challenge of buffing Pokemon to around UU strength by using the most minimal possible changes and still staying thematically fitting. Some things really just need 20 more in both defenses and they're fine, and some things need a better ability like Punk Rock (like Chatot would benefit so much). But then there are some mons like Luvdisc where they need like... Another 150+ stat points and Soul-Heart, and they'll still probably just get oneshot by an Electrode.
Yes, hello, I've been saying for years upon years that Solrock and Lunatone deserve an evolution where they break their rock exteriors releasing their celestial energy. Becoming Fire Psychic and Dark Psychic respectively. Levitate is chill, but alternative abilities I have not thought of could be fun.
I loved Carnivine as a kid because of the anime but I haven't thought about this silly little guy in years. I still would be one of the three people that would be hyped about a mega evolution.
Gen 3 is peak update-needed-mons lol But as a Gen One Millennial I think we need to get our priorities straight- there are still regional meowth variations and Eevee Evos to make after all
I fully support luvdisc. You go to a route where it’s super common and punch off all its scales to remember moves. Thanks for being my stress relief, little guy! ❤❤❤
They did Kecleon so dirty over the years. If he got a unique move similar to king's shield it would be neat. Something to play off it's invisibility because it's type changing uniqueness is taken by multiple pokemon now. Have a move that makes it immune on it's next turn, but can be hit the turn it's used. Like dig, dive, etc, but not being locked into the move and target. You could put it next to a follow me user to put pressure on the enemy team. Think about it; boost up until the follow me user is low HP, use the vanishing move the turn the follow me user goes down, then get immunity for a turn while firing off a decent move. Given enough speed it would mean that's two turns of attacks because the following turn you'll outspeed. It would be a threat if it can two shot something, and it being a normal type it's coverage should be enough to two tap with a wide pool of super effective coverage. Just name the move "vanish" or something, so Gamefreak could give it to ghost types in the future if they wanted. Just test out the mechanic with Kecleon because it's a underpowered single stage normal type.
5:13 Give Milktank the Ursaring treatment. An evolution that isn't much of an "evolving" as much as it's just changing shape and getting some more details thrown on it. Miltank could become a more chonky cow, put it down on all fours, and elongate it's horns. Turn it into a premiere stall pokemon with a busted ability and decent secondary typing, maybe buffing it's originally signature move "milk drink" to cure statuses as well. Give it a secondary water type and theme it as bloated. It could fall into the bulky water archetype. Ursaluna has a somewhat random ground typing, so there's grounds for adding a type purely for the evolution. Update it's ability as well. Ursaring loses one ability per evolved form then splits it's current abilities into each. We could have one version that's a bloated cow with a secondary water type and sap sipper to signify it's a gutton, then have a second version that's more of a show cow with thick fat played off that it's well taken care of so it's form can resist ice and fire moves. Both could be bulky but one is a special attacker and the other is a physical attacker just like Ursaluna. Slot in a new ability for each form and you have a good defensive powerhouse for a team. If you really wanted to lean into the anime route, one form could have a rock secondary typing, turn into a brown dairy cow, have an ability to patch up it's defensive holes (a themed "filter" ability) and have a signature rollout-like move. A homage to Whitney's Miltank.
Thank you for the fun video Mr Cool. If you could in part 2, maybe some discussion of eviolite would be fitting for Pokémon that might require an evolution
I think i have an idea for an ability that would be cool on a spinda evolution. When you are confused, all of your moves never miss and you no longer have a chance to hit yourself. Could be interesting to make the spinda evolution have more bulk and get access to a moves like thrash and dynamic punch. Could make confusion more interesting, or more hated. Not like that has stopped gamefreak before.
Seviper doesn’t need an evolution, it just needs better stats. It is a very solid supporting attacker in Gen 9 and I’ve even had some back to back wins in OU with it. It has a massive move pool, it just needs some extra points in speed… like twenty to thirty more points.
I remember using Milktank in a sun and moon nuzlocke and i was blown away of how good it was until late game. Considered to take him with me in the league
I'm convinced that Alomomola was meant to be an evolution of Luvdisc, but they changed their minds. Coming off of the heels of Gen IV where so many old Pokemon got evolutions, it would've made a lot of sense to keep that trend going. Similarly, I felt that Sigilyph could've been tied to Unown somehow.
Zangoose if it got an evolution could easily be an eviolite toxicboost counter if toxic spikes gets too big. Luvdisc evo actually usually is a broken heart, spun around and the cracks of the broken heart becomes giant jaws.
The Evil Timeline Spinda Evolution: Spindas --- Normal Type Just 2 Spindas in a trenchcoat- BST is 720 with 120 in each base stat, because one Spinda has 360. Maybe have an ability that halves it's stats if it's below half hp or something (one Spinda dieded) Spinda Aside- I didn't even think about Tropius, but you are right, it does *_look_* like it should be more powerful, so an evolution or something would definitely help. Maractus has already captured me since I got to use it in a Gen5 Randomizer Nuzlocke with Acupressure and Pin Missile, which was a lot of fun. Would definitely love to see them doing something with the lil fella. (in general a lot of these pokémon definitely deserve *something*, even if it was something like pretty good signature abilities that makes them better allowing them to compete a bit more, or just... flat out stat buffs as they have done [to some degree] in the past.) Edit: For Luvdisc, if they made a regional version with a broken heart they could give that one a "hatecube" evolution without it seeming too out there. And regarding Pokémon not in this video, my number 1 pick would probably be Ledian. Back before I knew that it was really bad I used it in XD Gale of Darkness, and loved it- and now I just hope that the Pokémon company will finally find some love for it in their hearts too.
What if the 720 BST spinda evo had an ability that changes its type corresponding to specific items? I think that would be really cool, unique and never before seen.
Zangoos and Seviper: Hear me out. Zangoos evolves into a Normal/Steel Type, while Seviper evolves into a Poison/Ghost Type basically making each other immun to one of the opposits STABs.
I think Miltank could get a new regional form with variants similar to what they gave Tauros in Gen 9. And for Kecleon, giving it a bulky evolution focused on utilizing Protean for defensive purposes could be interesting. Give it a wide array of priority moves (but low offensive stats) allowing it to change typing before getting hit to lean into it's defensive gameplan. Stuff like Aqua Jet, Vacuum Wave, Grassy Glide, First Impression, Sucker Punch for attacking moves and Baby Doll Eyes, Fake Out, Rage Powder, Spiky Shield for support/status moves etc.
i am a proud luvdisc supporter, they gave me heartscales for years, i pay them back with acknowledgement. also carnivine is epic, i'd be happy about an evolution for it. it was sooo hard to get in the safari swamps as a kid, but so weak :c
banger vid jimuel tbh very few of these mons *need* full evos or regionals like, spinda has a horrendous BST that it's intentionally shackled to but if you look at it sableye is only 20 points above and that's a notably successful support guy even in his base form mega banette also shot up in natdex after receiving JUST encore (gambit coming back killed him tho
A carnivine evolution could get a unique ability that makes it's grass moves super effective against bug types since, you know, it's a flytrap, or maybe a signature move that does that. But that's the only idea I see that might work lol
I thought I was the only one in the world that liked Druddigon. My thoughts on it are the same; hard to describe why I like it, but it’s a cool fellow. Has some cool and surprisingly varied competitive traits. Can go super tanky with Rough Skin + Rocky Helmet, a lead rocker set with Mold Breaker + Sash + Glare, even offensive Life Orb Sheer Force, although I wish it had more moves that benefit from Sheer Force.

Pokemon rejuvenation has this idea some other rom hacks probably also do but you can reverse since it’s done by an item

5:00 about miltank:
Similar to Tauros, you could go the regional variant route, using the different cow breeds to justify different typings.
On a personal proyect of mine I made a regional miltank that's fairy type based on the jersey cow, with a fairy/ice and fairy/ground variants based on more hairy/muscular variants respectively.
Idk, cows are such a diverse group, there's a lot of design space there ❤
A fluffy miltank with it's eyes covered by fur would be very epic.
@@LonesomeDevil I once designed a Fairy/Fighting regional Miltank based on Parvati and Kali
@@Exquailibur Just a regular Miltank with Blastoise cannons for udders.
spinda evolves into ɐpu!ds, now fully spun around
He evolves and is no longer dizzy, he's incredibly serious and normal. Perhaps even wearing a suit.
Spinda evolving into Pandauseous
Spinda stops spinning and evolves into Pinda, the pokemon with 0 BST
@InsertFunnyThingHere Spinda evolves into Winda, a 540BST Normal/Ground type.
At least carnivine has a part time job as a boss in wario land 4.
It's alternate forme is in Smash.
I am a luvdisc supporter. I want the world to know I exist.
Poor Luvdisc doesn’t even get to be useful past Gen 7 for farming Heart Scales
I used to think Luvdisc evolves into Gorebyss only to find out that Clamperl becomes a pretty and aggressive sea mosquito.
Back in like 2015 I found a shiny Luvdisc in X and Y from my play through. Used it all the way to till the end if I remember correctly
Would be funny if spinda got a new form that they unlock when getting confused, where their natural confusion and the new confusion cancel each other and they become weirdly strong for some reason
This is a genius idea, good sir. I tip my absurdly long hat to you.
@@Cleffrno since their confusion cancels out, they get a base stat total of 0
You hit the nail on the head with your description of Tropius. Glad theres others that also think it deserves more love. Great work as always Jim.
I like the idea that shiny spinda spun so much that it frew up, hence the green. Also regular spinda spaghet mouth
If Carnivine has 1000 fans I’m one of them.. If Carnivine has 100 fans I’m one of them.. If Carnivine has 10 fans I’m one of them.. If Carnivine has 1 fans I’m one of them.. If Carnivine has 0 fans I’m dead
If carnivine has 0 fans WE are dead. I am with you
I dunno why he was so rude to Carnivine lol
An interesting idea would be to give him an evolution that does what a Venus Flytrap does.
@@sreenaths6829 I really think it’s because Jimothy didn’t watch the anime much from what he’s said. Carinivine and James relationship in the Diamond Pearl anime was genuinely heart wrenching as a kid

i would love for a mega carnivine to add elements of sundews (a carnivorous plant that uses sweet-smelling, sticky sap on its leaves to lure insects and is actually kinda pretty in a weird way. def look them up) or bladderworts. instead of levitate give it a different ability and have its signature move be something with a magnet-rise secondary effect to keep the niche of levitate
i’m a proud luvdisc supporter! luvdisc does have one niche: it is extremely funny to use for in-game playthroughs. i had one on my omega ruby team with surf/draining kiss/double team/charm. genuinely nothing is funnier than soloing maxie at level cap with a luvdisc

Spinda evolution proposal: Kaleida
(pronounced like "collider." As in kaleidoscope.)
Has rotationally repeating patterns over its skin
Evolves after hitting itself in confusion 3 times in a row.
Normal/Fairy type
Base stats: 120 HP/Def/SpDef, 60 Atk/SpAtk/Speed
As kaleidoscopes have rotational symmetry, the stats here similarly have symmetry, each pair adding to 180 degrees.
Keeps Contrary as a hidden ability, but now also gets a new unique ability: Dazing Dance - Once per battle, on switch-in, confuses all pokemon on the field, including itself. Have fun!
Brilliant! this should be in a rom hack or something at the minimum, i love all that idea (that dazing dance ability is evil, though!)
Wait did we have the same toy?? Because that’s the exact same reason I love carnivine is I had a toy of it as a child
@@SupahTrunks7 It’s possible! I don’t remember what brand or specific line it was, but it was just a little plastic mold with movable arms. There were a bunch of Gen 4 pokemon made in the same style, little plastic Pokemon with minor articulation.

I remember in the Pokebilities OM that gave Pokemon access to every single of their abilities Tropius was kinda viable because it had Chlorophyll, Solar Power and Harvest at once which is very powerful in theory, in theory.
ever since Calyrex I've thought it'd be funny if they renamed the OM to As One
Luvdisc NEEDS an evolution. That thing has been in a horrific state for over 20 years.
In randbats where mons are balanced on levels, Luvdisc is level 100 and is still the worst mon in the format, and it's not even close.
Alomomola is the evolution, GF can't change my mind.
@@MaximillionPegasusJ.Crawford
Fair enough. But I do think there are better things to give to your loved one imo. We all have our own opinions, though...and that's totally okay!

Luvdisk are supposed to 'kiss' each other by locking mouths in the lore, so clearly the evolution should be a butterfly made of two Luvdisks combined. At least then they could get quiver dance.
spinda is insane
I think they are just dizzy
"Pokémon Love Version & Pokémon Hate Version, coming to stores conveniently right before holiday season by pure coincidence and nothing more."
As a Carnivine fan, I will not accept such slander!
Its role in the anime won me over what can I say?
There is a lot of room to add four legged evolutions with hoves and manes to these forgotten single stage Pokémon.
Hmm. Every Spinda has it's day, they say.
Spinda's four legged evolution: It finally got too dizzy and is throwing up on the floor
I am so pleased there will be a whole other episode of this exquisite video. Truly a time
Tropius is my favorite Pokemon. Banana God shall live forever
Solrock and Lunatone being ignored in Sun & Moon is all the proof I need that Gamefreak is run by a Spinda
Poor Carnivine
If Kecleon got an evolution I think it would be cool to give it a move like "Colour Burst" where it's a high base power move that matches your current type and reverts you back to Normal type. This would be kind of similar to Burn up but it would be reusable through kecleon using Colour change and Protean to change type.
I want to mega evolve Hatecube into Mega-Hatecube using Hatecubite
A Spinda evolution could take the form of a Spinda Who Got Its Shit Together. Spindont, the No-Nonsense Pokemon.
Jimothy Cool evolved into Jimothy Cruel
Miltank regional form with whatever region’s signature drink is
Mega miltank would gain the steel typing and its udders would become a gatling gun that delivers high pressure milk blasts.
Pokémon fans try not to make a Dragon and/or edgy evolution challenge (impossible):
What if male Miltanks could evolve into a minotaur-esq bipedal bull pokemon called Minotank or Bultank?
"male Miltanks"
So Tauros lol?
Not really sure Gamefreak will to want to give Miltank an evolution, otherwise, they'd have to make 4 designs for Tauros and his regional variants as well.
But to be fair, they could probaby get away with giving Miltank regional variants like they did with Tauros.
As a member of the banana gang, we appreciate you shedding light on the Tropius situation jim
15:20 maybe give a Luvdisc evo a broken heart design. It gets ripped into 2 Pokemon and gets a parental bond-style ability
It doesn't even have Tropius' double weakness to ice!"
Two ideas I have for evolutions would be a branched evolution for Carnivine.
Gosh, the way Jimothy trashed on the helpless little Luvdisc, relentlessly.
Fun fact: Druddigon is the only pokemon to have the name of a move within its name. Drud-DIG-on!
Grimmsnarl just out sitting
Fun fact: For something to be labeled as a "fact" it needs to be true
It isn't even the only Mon with "dig" in its name lmao

I really love the challenge of buffing Pokemon to around UU strength by using the most minimal possible changes and still staying thematically fitting.
Some things really just need 20 more in both defenses and they're fine, and some things need a better ability like Punk Rock (like Chatot would benefit so much).
But then there are some mons like Luvdisc where they need like... Another 150+ stat points and Soul-Heart, and they'll still probably just get oneshot by an Electrode.
7:20 Actually, since gen 6, only half of all types resist themselves (Dark, Poison, Electric, Psychic, Steel, Grass, Ice, Water, Fire) 🤓
Gen 3 is peak update-needed-mons lol
But as a Gen One Millennial I think we need to get our priorities straight- there are still regional meowth variations and Eevee Evos to make after all
I fully support luvdisc.
I was going to say Maractus could have a dance/music theme, maybe a lot of dancing moves, but then I realised that is also just Ludicolo.
Not like that has stopped gamefreak before.
i love opening a jimothy cool video and knowing what the first line is before it even plays because of the comments
Seviper doesn’t need an evolution, it just needs better stats. It is a very solid supporting attacker in Gen 9 and I’ve even had some back to back wins in OU with it. It has a massive move pool, it just needs some extra points in speed… like twenty to thirty more points.
As a randbats player i'm always caught off guard whenever Tropius is referenced as anything other than a top tier threat.
I remember using Milktank in a sun and moon nuzlocke and i was blown away of how good it was until late game. Considered to take him with me in the league
Good work jim
I'm convinced that Alomomola was meant to be an evolution of Luvdisc, but they changed their minds. Coming off of the heels of Gen IV where so many old Pokemon got evolutions, it would've made a lot of sense to keep that trend going. Similarly, I felt that Sigilyph could've been tied to Unown somehow.
Zangoose if it got an evolution could easily be an eviolite toxicboost counter if toxic spikes gets too big. Luvdisc evo actually usually is a broken heart, spun around and the cracks of the broken heart becomes giant jaws.
The Evil Timeline Spinda Evolution:
Spindas --- Normal Type
Just 2 Spindas in a trenchcoat-
BST is 720 with 120 in each base stat, because one Spinda has 360.
Maybe have an ability that halves it's stats if it's below half hp or something (one Spinda dieded)
Spinda Aside-
I didn't even think about Tropius, but you are right, it does *_look_* like it should be more powerful, so an evolution or something would definitely help.
Maractus has already captured me since I got to use it in a Gen5 Randomizer Nuzlocke with Acupressure and Pin Missile, which was a lot of fun. Would definitely love to see them doing something with the lil fella.
(in general a lot of these pokémon definitely deserve *something*, even if it was something like pretty good signature abilities that makes them better allowing them to compete a bit more, or just... flat out stat buffs as they have done [to some degree] in the past.)
Edit: For Luvdisc, if they made a regional version with a broken heart they could give that one a "hatecube" evolution without it seeming too out there.
I always thought a spooky, Halloween-style Carnivine would be cool
Carnivine is like if a Super Mario enemy evolved into a Pokemon. Specifically the "orb guy with googly eyes and a big toothy smile" kind of guy.
Carnivine takes the spot of James’ head devourer like Victreebel in Johto and Cacnea in Hoenn.
I have to admit that in pokemon TCG, I used the maractus card that could confuse oponents at the cost cost of just 1 energy.
i am a proud luvdisc supporter, they gave me heartscales for years, i pay them back with acknowledgement.
also carnivine is epic, i'd be happy about an evolution for it. it was sooo hard to get in the safari swamps as a kid, but so weak :c
Tropius is actually insane in random battles with its sub seed harvest set
banger vid jimuel
tbh very few of these mons *need* full evos or regionals
like, spinda has a horrendous BST that it's intentionally shackled to
but if you look at it sableye is only 20 points above and that's a notably successful support guy even in his base form
mega banette also shot up in natdex after receiving JUST encore (gambit coming back killed him tho
A Luvdisc evolution that simply put other body parts on the thing could be cool. Make it 6'5 while you're at it.
Although I too don't have much interest in Carnivine, I could see Strong Jaw or Arena Trap being useful abilities that would fit with its concept.
A carnivine evolution could get a unique ability that makes it's grass moves super effective against bug types since, you know, it's a flytrap, or maybe a signature move that does that. But that's the only idea I see that might work lol
Carnivine was in the anime so it probably got more fans than you think. It was funny how it bit James from team rocket all the time. XD
