The Landys at the Marquee Club, 1995

This was an exciting day for us. Bassist Dave Lloyd and I sat in my car on a hot, sweltering day in Soho just before our soundcheck at the Marquee, listening to the radio. Our song Treehouse won Gary Crowley's "Demo Clash" on his Sunday afternoon GLR show.
The legendary club was on a downhill slump at this time. It had moved from Wardour Street to a nice, bigger venue just around the corner. But it would soon go out of business.
We had a lot of fun though. And a young chap with a video camera (whose name escapes me, sorry!) filmed a few songs. Very singer-centric footage, but hey! Featured here are a few of the songs we used to rotate in all of our early gigs: Sleep Around, Little Man and 20 Something.
