One of the biggest mistakes for me was not picking up a single book 3 years after graduating college. Learning is truly lifelong and should never halt! 🤓🙏

    1. Education doesn't improve your financial IQ.
    2. Formal education is the only education most people pursue.
    3. More education means more attachment to your future job.
    4. Educated people think they know everything.
    5. Formal education leads to student debt.
    6. Educated people are prone to taking on more debt.
    7. Educated people pay more tax.

It's crazy how I was just talking with my bf saying I should go back to school and learn a skill and earn a "master" but he said most people who are successful followed their own path and traditional school was not for them . I opened my UA-cam app and the first video that popped up was this one . Its like an answer for me . Thank you so much for your great videos.

If you are too specialised you limit your career options. I did Accounting (best all purpose degree) & went on further to complete a degree in Science to certify in Risk Management. I later did my Masters of Science & was pleased to know I was set for life career wise.

In the 90's I had a fulltime job & went to night lectures. I completed my degree in 4.5 years rather than 6 years as expected. I never went to a fancy university & went again for another 2 years at night to have my MBA - I was 25 & had the foundation for a great future - my work had paid for 80% of my education costs. Now 25 years later I had diversified into another acumen with another degree (paid for my then employer) to be 110% employable until retirement - if I wish to. Mind you university degrees in Australia are 3 years & $40k USA for the 3 whole years.

@@bettermentboss In my 20's I had no life & was full of energy. At 30 I found it tougher & at 45 I no longer had the drive so was glad I was established.

Getting a college degree isn't a bad route to take if it makes sense, but it's not for everyone! In fact, some people are better off not going to college as the cost of opportunity is too high for some people and they're better off spending that time they would of spent in college in something that they really want to do! I wish I would known all this when I was 17, before I decided to go straight to a four-year which set me back a lot, and I'm not sure if it was even worth it or not, guess only time will tell. But one thing for sure, I learned more important life skills in the past few years after college than I did in any class I ever took combined!
