- Have the Detroit Lions ascended among the top NFL rosters in the league? That seems to be what the writers at PFF surely think and our very own Meko and Morgan are here to discuss that topic. Tune in to hear how good they believe the Lions become and whether they could be a top 5 roster.

If the Lions didn't participate in the draft they still would have been a top 10 ranked team. Before Josh Reynolds, the tears were for DJ Chark. Before Montgomery, "we can't live without" Jamaal Williams' 17 TDs. This past season he's down to one TD. The Lions pass defense was destroyed mostly by injuries yet it wasn't a mistake that they were up by 17 in the first half on the Niners. Pros are prematurely ranking the Lions' secondary as top-ten now. Even if the Lions go from 29th in the secondary rankings and still a top 5 team overall to 18th other teams are in trouble.
It's gonna be really really hard to stop this offense because the OL is elite! I heard someone saying that outside of ARSB and LaPorta we don't have a legit #3 but it doesn't matter if Goff has 5 seconds to throw it. He'll find guys.
Jamo is our #2. LaPorta will be the #3 reciever because he is a blocker half the time. DPJ is going to have an AWESOME season as well. Idk why everyone underestimates him so much
Good stuff! Detroit has a Top 5 roster (at the very least) on paper. Their weaknesses last year were edge rusher opposite Hutch, the secondary and Kicker. They've overhauled all 3 areas to a point that they could be in a position of strength as far as secondary is concerned in 2024.
On a side note, on February 13, 2023 (the day after the Eagles lost to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl), I made a Facebook prediction that Detroit would take the North and win a playoff game. They exceeded my expectations last season. I'm predicting they take the NFC in 2024 for what it's worth...
Giving all praise to the football gods oh la salema, as of 12:23 you have refused to mention that Goff is 2-0 against Patrick, just a point not shit talking.
Superman has Kryptonite and Lex Luthor right?
Lions absolutely have a top 3 Roster. Which includes Depth and practice squad. Sorry Meko the Chiefs drop in the toilet when you add those things. Just look what happened game 1 2023.
49ers, ravens, eagles, browns, jets all have objectively more talented rosters. Now if you talking power rankings I got Lions at 3 and Chiefs at 2.
Nope. They might have some stars, we have stars in the making. We are like one of those huge gas chambers when stars are formed at the start of a galaxy. These guys have something in spades that other teams wish they had. Character aka GRIT. it’s a force multiplier and this year we will prove it. Other teams will be trying to build what we have here for the next decade or more
Unfortunately I think the Packers are a team that belongs on this list. Also, the rams have a sneaky great roster
I agree that on paper Detroit looks like a top 3 roster, but they do have a lot to prove, so to speak, with their game play. Especially with the revamped secondary. I'd think we can put them in the top 5 anyway
Mahomes breaks this excercise imo. If you swapped him and Bryce Young today, I'm putting the Panthers top 5 lol
WRONG. Niners are old. Ravens lost a bunch of guys and Lamar spazzes out in the Playoffs. Lions have 57 players under 25 in the top 25. Lions go 20-0 and don't break a sweat.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 You're high af! Nobody has ever went undefeated and won the SB in a 20 game stretch. NOBODY!!!
Lol. If we are just talking about rosters we could say lions have one of the best. But I'll put them top 8 in.....best rosters. Make that make sense. 😂
the niners have a great top of the roster but have no depth
only position with depth is receiver
It's now been 5 seasons since Desean Watson has played at a high level. He's done. Ain't no coming back after that long with his baggage
