"Ok, I'm here not to hurt you, I'm here to be your friend." Something that all equestrians and ranchers should live by. These people clearly have love for the horses, and they wish to have a bond, for those horses to have a choice. As an equestrian myself, I hope that their morals will spread. God bless the soldiers, and God bless the Mustangs. God bless America.
Horses don't need human friends. We think we're necessary to make their lives meaningful. That's a demented illusion. You just need an excuse to dress up and feel special so you can continue the outdated hobby of selling animals for profit. Slave masters who kill their servants are not virtuous because they connect with their horses. Ever see a 2 week old cow? It runs around like an antelope. These virtuous ranchers force them into obesity and suffering. Then they send them to processors to suffer more fear and stress, all in the name of profit so they can buy their cute trucks and cute hats and cute little boots. What a farse! You're all gutless children that love to dress up and feel special because you couldn't make it in the real world. You're not cowboys, you're actors living a fantasy.
Being a horse owner, wife of a 2X combat veteran, and a veteran myself I could not be more thrilled with what these people are doing for both horse and human. Good therapy for all. God bless you and keep you! Hoorah!
stop praising your war ''criminals'', the only right thing the US did was at ww2(wen talking about war) all vietnam and other wars where for your own financial/patriotic growth just greedy and barbaric! if you build up your country that way does not mean its normal and religion is for people that can't think for themselfs, or afraid of the truth, ''becouse god can forgive your sins'' so you can just continue saying/doing everybody else is wrong and you are right becouse you believe in god whahaha i mean grow a brain, like how many older religions are there? its more likely they are right and you are wrong a belief/religion you have to keep to yourself, and don't mix it with your actions, becouse nobody will level with you already if they're from another curch peace the f%ck out america! focus on your own problems instead of others
I worked on a ranch for 5 years and I can say from first hand, the bond you form with your horse is something you can never break. That horse trusts you with their life and I trusted my horse with my life. He is my best friend and won’t judge me no matter what. I still go and see him and go for rides and I wouldn’t trade the time I have with him for the world. Love my horse.
Just blown away that there’s 1.2k ppl that disliked this video. There’s something about the outside of a horse that helps the inside of a person. To see people and horse help each other overcome situations is just amazing
the video sucked. the concept is great, the execution of the training awesome, the trip must have been incredible... but the video sucks. This is what it would look like if the kardashians did this. its all about the people and their shallow feelings instead of experiencing what working with the horses was like, how the horses changed, how the people changes, and then the beautiful scenery.
equestrian texan it doesnt matter what others think. No matter what you and I will have to fight a bullshit fight. All that honestly matters is that a mustang found a mustang "a man." its a true love that most cant understand, and its something that we love to have the feeling of love. If i didnt have my animals I would've killed myself along time ago. I honestly have no idea why people are so hard on others. We fought for eachother, and we fought for happiness for others. I love you're understanding!
What a wonderful documentary, very moving. I sent it to my brother who served in the Air Force 20 years. I love horses, I ride twice monthly at a therapeutic riding stable, it's given me confidence and built my trust level. It's amazing what these beautiful animals can do to aide in the healing process of a broken soul. They truly deserve respect, kindness and love ❤️
Absolutely beautiful movie. My father used to say "you are not a completed man until you can cry without feeling shame, and ride a horse.....". I am a 30 yr old woman but I totally understand what he means.
Awesome, just plain awesome..... we should have programs like this in every state..... before it is too late for both the horses and the Veterans..... we need programs like this .... to help our lost souls find themselves, save themselves.... whilst finding and saving a similar lost soul..... Thank you for saving lives!!
This is absolutely fantastic for the horses & the men/veterans [thankyou for your service]. I'm a woman who experienced abuse in various forms; ddecided I'd had enough and went to working with horses - from foals to starting colts- worked with all ages & problems. Never felt more "whole in myself & spirit" than when with horses everyday. A drunk driver took me out last July. I hope you have a program like this for our women.... wish I could be helping them in this way. Horses are honest - they help us be honest when we respect them & then we see the balance in nature & why each species was created. Go well & stay well. Happy trails! Sarah Coleman
I used to volunteer at the riding for disabled as a kid. Not only did those horses help the riders, but they helped me - as a girl with undiagnosed ADHD and a break down in my family. 15 years later I’m buying my first horse
Just got done watching. This simply moved me. I am a horse lover and a believer of land/animal conservation. I do believe a portion of Mustangs should always remain free. They belong to the land first and the land to them. With this said, It brought complete joy to my heart to see this type of re-placement. I have always hoped ways to do this could be on the side of compassion, love and non cruelty, so that the life of a being is not taken away for a non worthy reason. You are giving the horse the ability to never loose it's self or spirit and its freedom. How it can help Our Veterans is incredible. May nothing but continued success com from this, so it can show many other people there is a way to remove them from their rightfully born place for something positive without violence and slaughter.
As a veteran myself, I haven't related with something so much. I struggle a lot in my everyday life and even when i was in the service. It got so bad at some point that BH wasn't helping, and that's when i stared volunteering at a local horse rescue wherever i was stationed. I stared to get a lot better, eventually got my first two horses at the end of me getting out the Army, and i still have them now. It is a decision I do not regret and they mean everything to me, they have saved me time and time again.
Aljarar Zarqawi when will people wake up to the fact that Muslims hate! It’s not nor has it ever been a religion of peace and love. Their Koran demands them to kill all non Muslims hence the term infidel. Not saying non Muslims are any less murderous. Greed is their religion.
... I know horses for 27 years. Without them I'm notting!!!! .... Why I was born human not a horse!!!! They a Pure!!! Gental!!! And they have a neverendingggg Hart from gold always standing by you're side!!!! Awww,... What a story!!! Horse & recovery. !!! Amazing job guys ❤❤🙏
I had the ability to adopt two mustangs from the Carson City, Nevada BLM. I already had two horses and saw and read the story about "Mustang Anne". Who started the program to save the wild horses and burros in the 1950's. I am a veteran with PTSD and other disabilities. These two mustangs have taught me more about myself and the relationship with others. One is a "Character", hence his name and the other is called "JJ". They have a love for life and a jest for being happy. I have committed my place to their well being and love every minute of it. Mustangs are a hearty breed and have more intelligence than most other breeds. I love my mustangs.
What an amazing video. As a Navy Corpsman and combat veteran this really hit home for me. Beautiful, thought provoking and immortal. I stumbled on this video today because I just rode my first horse today at age 29. It was one of the best experiences of my life and am now hooked. Thanks for this video and program! Definitely going to look it up.
Wow i'm so glad to hear your story, you took a great step in your young life. I wish you love &all good things in your life. (Sometimes just looking up at the sky makes me smile, its just a good free feeling). 👍🤠🍁❤🌾🌿
I couldn’t get through this video without crying a few times. Horses really do fix people. I had my mare 13 years before I fell on hard times and gave her to a friend. I wish I would’ve held on. There’s nothing in the world like horses. They are the most remarkable beings. All soul.
Being associated with the value of working WITH horses vs "breaking-them", in addition to having a Veteran daughter with PTSD who lost 3 members of her unit to suicide, this video is powerful. Thank you to the producers, fine videography, and the tender hearts of all involved.
I know this was done several years ago but I need each and everyone of you guys to know I’m so very incredibly proud of you. You undertook an almost impossible endeavor and turned into a positive not only for yourselves but the horses also. To see anyone helping and going the extra mile for the Mustang absolutely pulls at my heartstrings. Gentlemen my hat is off to you and after this much time I hope this finds you all doing well. A very heartfelt thank you for your service, for putting your lives at risk so my family can sleep at night, thank you and God bless.
This touched my soul. I love my horse more than anything on earth. I understand the love and dedication these men have for horses. My horse saved me. He is my purpose. This is a transformational documentary. A true love story.
I rescued an Arabian who was too spicy for the first trainer, when Peril dashed his chest against a barb-wire fence. The Arabian papers meant nothing, yet the horse inside was still there.I finished training Gus [new friendly name] while attending pre-medicine to become an acupuncturist. Gus won his first endurance race and continue to take children on rides in the Colorado mountains, until his death. The lessons learned from this horse are deep, abiding and life-changing. Thank you for making this short for us.
I am an Army Brat. Dad retired as a full colonel. I was born at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. My dad ran a Cavalry unit at Ft. Riley, KS. This is the best example of how our Mustangs can be saved by those needing to be saved. WONDERFUL PROGRAM.
I've watched this movie at least five times and every time I watch it it humbles me. Thank you guys for making this speak for those who don't have the words!
Brilliant documentary and the authentic sentiment comes through. My dad is vet, been though the depression and out the other side so i see the tremendous value in such things. The ponies mended me as well a few years back. I ma not a certified equine massage therapist but don't work in the field. I miss it and have to get back in the saddle. The spirit of the horse ,once you let it into your heart, it will never leave. Aho , Wopila Tunkasila. Thank you.
Thank you for allowing me to watch what you doing the veterans. my life I have loved horses with a passion she loved so much that they do have the love to get back to you. they cannot hurt you as long as you do not hurt them. to help these men served our country I know what they have witness they have this chance to get them through the pain and suffering they witness. thank you again. this should be a lot of people out there to help our veterans get through what they witness in the war.
What an important and moving film and program... tears to my eyes. Tears of joy, tears of sorrow. We need more people and horses and experiences like this. God Bless!
I bought my first horse from a crippled up old cowboy back in Wyoming, and it so happened that it was his last horse. The best lesson he taught me? "I never eat before my horses are fed."
My mom and dad had the same rule at our house. If we sat down to eat dinner and our horses were not fed we were told go out and feed the horses and Come Back in then we were told go to bed with no dinner. Because that's how the horses would have went to bed with no dinner next time you'll remember to feed them. You know what? I always remembered to feed the horses before dinner time. Go to bed hungry one night and you never forget to feed the horses before dinner. It's a good lesson for all young people who have animals. Both my parents have passed away. I'm married with four children of my own and we have the same rule. If you have animals you take care of them. If you don't who will?
The power and passion in this amazing video is almost disturbing mentally. I am 70 this year I possess an intense love for horses and I know why now. Bless your heart guys and bless you for sharing such an emotional story.
What a beautiful documentary I could feel the spirt of the cowboys and the horses and mother nature had her hand in this . I cry thro it all I love just watching it over and over. Thank you for sharing this video I have so much more to say but I just can't fine the words. This was truly breath taken for me. God Bless America
If you watch & listen, the horse will teach you the right way. Thank you for the wonderful work that you do for the veterans & the horses & the awesome video!
What a absolutely brilliant program for them both...that was utterly brilliant I love the compassion they had for the horses so beautiful...what a sound bunch of guys 😇❤️
I wish I could do more than just like your movie. This is just... It gives me so much joy, and sadness, and hope, and some kind of being understood ? This is how we should look at horses. Not being meant to serve us, but trustfully creatures. I don't know how to put it right, but I literally cried when I saw the way they treated and considered their horses. It is so magnificent. Thank you so much, deeply.
I'm a proud horse owner and I know that any horse no matter the bread needs to feel special a free just like when they were born...humans are the same...we always seek purpose to heal the soul...god bless the horse
I wasn't going to watch this. But I did. And my! am I glad. Just wonderful. Thank you and best wishes to those brave veterens who want to explore themselves further.
My husband is no longer in the army but has great respect for ALL that have served! So much that when he tries to help someone & they don’t make it, he collapses!😭
I totally AGREE! With you:). Then I got to thinking …… there are so many people in our modern world that don’t or won’t ever challenge themselves to do anything difficult or uncomfortable. The horse/cowboy world I come from the only barriers I have are the ones I put on myself. I loved the message and content of his documentary. There is so much to learn and experience and fo me personally coming from a crappy childhood ….. horses have always been my soul animal. They make me accountable to myself to be a better human. Perhaps those that did not like this were just a tick out of their league in comprehending challenges. That’s okay. MORE for those of us who are not afraid to live life to its fullest!
I fell deeper in love with horses again (not that I ever stopped). This is a great documentary and for a worthy cause both for man and majestic creature.
Just thinking about this 500mile episode was really terrific in the way it was presented and recorded. Not in my wildest imagination did I realize adventures like this was going on. In my thinking this was an honorable and magnificent tribute to our soldiers and r mustangs. This should be on the National Geographic tv program so that a wider range of public can see this. This was just great! Thank you, Linda Baumer/Fl.
Hauntingly beautiful and heartwrenching stuff.... Wish I could have been there... Along with other PTSD sufferers. God Bless you all. Hugs from South Africa
I’ve found this so heartwarming ❤ I’ve seen a documentary on prisoners working with wild horses and it’s just amazing what they learn about themselves and how they learn so much about respect and compassion.
about the fifth time watching this, and every time it reminds me what truly matters in life. and the goals i have making all the sacrifices and hard work seem worth it, even for only 37 minutes.
what an inspiring documentary. an incredible and untold story with the spiritual journey and purpose of giving to others (veterans), taking care of your loved ones (animals), and fulfilling your own purpose. ... a point to make.. you can never tell what the eyes of animals are saying truly.. they are so deep- dogs, horses, all animals alike
Wow! Powerful stuff. I packed alone halfway across NSW in Australia, but I knew my horses, bred them. Big trips create a bond. Had the mountain bike experience too, but top pony heard it coming, baulked and jumped off the track, ears uphill. I coo-eeed, two bikes arrived braking hard, no prang. When a good horse "does something" best is to listen to him. They hear, smell, see, far better than us.
18:22 Important morals and actions that I wish my own “millennial” generation would practice. If you don’t feed your horse first, clean him, or check his health before yourself, then you lose everything. You lose a friend, your transportation, and you are now alone in a wild world he knew long before you. These qualities apply to everything we know and have. For example, your car, pets, and family. Take care of the things you hold dear. Respect is a powerful characteristic, but also very rare....
SOVEREIGNDesigns you do not know what you are talking about. These animals are feral, meaning once tame turned wild. Without help they inbreed and regress in genetics. It is vital that programs are found to find a use because they will outgrow their habitat. This means they will starve, diminish and destroy habitat for future use, create a negative relationship with the landowners and users, die horrific deaths without management.
I absolutely loved this, have encouraged others to watch it and intend watching it again, loved the whole concept especially to try and save the veterans
First and foremost, I thank our veterans! Second, I would like to thank all of the participants in this endeavor. What's that old saying, "There's nothing better for the inside of a man, than the outside of a horse." Many Blessing to all involved!
I finally got to do my horses thing by my 50th bday and it changed my lifestyle a lot! She is hot and sensitive very quick learner and just really great Walker. My dream, as the loner I am, was to hang out with her and ride away to lovely dreamy places. Very Herd bound! Ha ha love her and her pasture mate. I chose Parelli and I love Pete Ramey’s ( barefoot trim) words....about some people with horses ...who do we think we are? She just turned 18 this Spring and I’m turning 66. I’m very grateful
I am trained as an Equine Reiki practitioner. (Equine reiki of SW Michigan.) I was touched by how this navy man just "sat" with his horse. l I could feel his connection with his horse.
Sharing again and again. This looks amazing and the need is so great for both our beloved veterans and our in peril wild mustangs. God speed with this organization. God bless you and God bless America.
These are how real cowboys treat horses. My uncle taught me how to gentle break horses when I was a kid. I'm grateful and it kills me when I see ppl still break horses the ancient barbaric way. Great Documentary!!! 🐎🐴 More people like these should do this and whatever they can for our veterans. Not enough is being done for them!
This hit home and was a perfect watch for me right now .I've been dealing with missing the past and the anxiety/depression that comes with it ..sat down alone for a minute to calm down and stop crying... my 2yr old colt Odin came over and layed down with me. Saw this on my recommended vids. watched the whole vid under a full moon with him. Will be one of the moments I hold with me forever.
I was touched when he teared up because of the love he has for those precious horses.
Real men are kind to horses

Would love to get involved. Is there such an opportunity
How
Being a horse owner, wife of a 2X combat veteran, and a veteran myself I could not be more thrilled with what these people are doing for both horse and human. Good therapy for all. God bless you and keep you! Hoorah!
ya kinda like having a therapy animal ....only way more cash involved
Thank you and your family for your service. Horses tug at your heart stings dont they .
LOVE YOU VETERANS
for your service and sacrifices.
There are other Veterans who are
Working with Wolves too ♡
Called WARRIORS and WOLVES

Every time I feel down, useless and get the feeling there is no sense in (my) life I watch this. Seen it a hundred times now, I think.

i really appericate the way they started those Mustangs. They didn't try to break their spirit, instead they built up trust.
No, they actually established a pecking order in the herd.
Equestrian Texan yeah. That's what I noticed.

nmelkhunter1 in order to establish a "pecking order " there has to be trust. Shows you've only dealt with domestics.
This is a cinematic masterpiece if I've ever seen one.

What a great documentary. Great story, great bunch of guys, great music and very well filmed... just beautiful.
So beautiful and moving documentary thank you👍
What an important and moving film and program... tears to my eyes. Tears of joy, tears of sorrow. We need more people and horses and experiences like this. God Bless!
Lovely lovely piece. At 21:20! My heart is swollen.
@adds .claire why?
Was his name Doug Plummer?
Yes, the horses always come first.
This documentary teaches many lessons. This should be shown all over
So touching, cried more times then I'd admit to. Beautiful Horses, Handsome men with beautiful hearts.
One of the best documentaries I've ever seen, i wonder how mike reilley doing this day's.!
The power and passion in this amazing video is almost disturbing mentally. I am 70 this year I possess an intense love for horses and I know why now. Bless your heart guys and bless you for sharing such an emotional story.
I saw this advertized on FB and am so stoked to see it up here now. Outstanding.
God bless them, both horses and men. Deeply impressed, great cinematography also! Keep on, greetings from Germany!
I usually don't watch videos on youtube more than a few times. But is wonderful. Such a great way to give back to our veterans
Pressure peeling back the layers to original thought.....
Perfectly put.
Have to admit.
Parrot steals my heart ❤

Thank you for sharing this video I have so much more to say but I just can't fine the words. This was truly breath taken for me. God Bless America
This is a great program. We need more of this to help our troops and the horses.
What an amazing depiction of the transformation of both horse & human. Thank you HH for the work that you do. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
That was beautiful!
Warmed my heart ❤️
the photography is insane, matching the dudes & the horses!
Appreciate it and am happy you enjoyed it!
This mission and film is such an inspiration to me. I watch it frequently. I am motivated to use my degree to create a horse program to help others.
This was so beautiful and moving. Thank you for sharing this and inspiring so many others.
unbelievable work
what an inspiring documentary. an incredible and untold story with the spiritual journey and purpose of giving to others (veterans), taking care of your loved ones (animals), and fulfilling your own purpose. ... a point to make.. you can never tell what the eyes of animals are saying truly.. they are so deep- dogs, horses, all animals alike
Really beautiful cinematography and camera work.
Thank you!
Absolutely divinely orchestrated!!!!Beautiful horses!
Thanks, Arken Optic for making me aware of this film. Amazing
This is my absolute favorite UA-cam video❤️❤️❤️❤️
Amazing!

Important morals and actions that I wish my own “millennial” generation would practice.
Madison Rogers I adore this
the Mustangs dont need us ~ pure BS backed by cash and privilege
SOVEREIGNDesigns actually the mustangs are being slaughtered everyday so yeah they do need some saving!!!
Madison Rogers vdff
SOVEREIGNDesigns you do not know what you are talking about. These animals are feral, meaning once tame turned wild. Without help they inbreed and regress in genetics. It is vital that programs are found to find a use because they will outgrow their habitat. This means they will starve, diminish and destroy habitat for future use, create a negative relationship with the landowners and users, die horrific deaths without management.
This is incredible. Amazing!
WHEN two hearts of man and beast are joined , truly bonded, imagine how powerful the sound of the beat..still incredible warriors all.
Amazing thank you x
This is amazing! Our veterans deserve the very best... Always!
Thank you for an excellent documentary. It’s beautiful, powerful, and deeply moving.
I absolutely loved this, have encouraged others to watch it and intend watching it again, loved the whole concept especially to try and save the veterans
Awesome video thanks 🙏🏽🤠❤
Best thing I've watched on UA-cam for a long time... Well done to all
Thank you!
how could anyone dislike thing ... its amazing
First and foremost, I thank our veterans! Second, I would like to thank all of the participants in this endeavor. What's that old saying, "There's nothing better for the inside of a man, than the outside of a horse." Many Blessing to all involved!
Stuck In NY p
The photography in this film is absolutely beautiful
Thank you so much!
Incredible! No words can can truly describe how well the video was made and the amazing story. I have so much respect for ya’ll.
Amazing, great horseman ship, cherish the time you have with these animals and love every moment of it… we don’t deserve them!!
Moving film. Thank you to all our veterans and for your dedication to mustangs and veterans.
This was a great documentary
This is so awesome
