I had the same problem. If it's not broken, you can reach and push back that pin from the back of the ashtray. And if you're lucky, it stays there again.
I found it on Ebay but you can also check scrap yards any mk1 Leon ashtray will do. Cupra and Cupra R a bit more rare but you just need to locate a breakers that has a mk1 Leon. Try ASM Auto Recycling they have a good catalog online of the cars they're breaking and parts that are available. Worth checking website and giving them a ring.

I got rid of mine. I hate car ash trays. They stink. And I don't smoke. SO IS THERE SOMETHING THAT I CAN USE TO REPLACE THIS THING? I also consider the space can be filled with something else, that 12V DC power outlet being useful

Place a paper clip cut it bent it .glew it and is fixed
