First video explaining the Velo sub options that has made sense to me, thank you. Have been messing with them but nothing seemed to change…hadn’t realised I needed to patch out the velo along with it. The instant musical examples give real clarity.
You can get these used for less than $350, which is a tremendous bargain, especially when considered as a complement to eurorack. I have 4 rows of modular, and this would add so, so much for less than what the sequencer alone would cost in the rack.
Hey mate, thanks for the video. I love my 2s and am having so much fun with it. Very nice tutorial. I have 2 questions: - which effect chain (rack) do you use in the connected Ableton track? - is it possible to achieve all these sounds also with VST synths (like Pigments, Phase Plant, etc.) ? Or would it make more sense to directly use such a hardware synth?
Recreating the sound is very possible. The main difficulty is always the sound of an analog filter. However, the main thing about hardware is the interface, the experience of working with the sliders and the patch bay.
Cool, use external instrument to send midi to it and receive audio. Because the connection is by usb it should appear in Live preference. If you want to record the audio , create a new audio track and as input use the output of the track where there is the external instrument . You can record before/after effect or after MIxer. Send me a email right now to remind me and tomorrow I will send you the video ( I am not at the studio today and I will forgot otherwise)
You can use it for whatever but I rather use it for bass/lead than just drums, but with the modular patch combine with the sequencer you can create indeed drums pattern. To be honest it's cool in term of sound design but never really fit my track or also it will take longer to do it on the minibrute than on a drum machine...

How do you sync the TR8 with Minibrute2s using the Midi? I have midi out on my TR8 going into the midi in of the Minibrute 2S and the brute wont play. Is there a setting in the Minibrute2s that I need to do to trigger it? please help. thanks
@@Yourmom-ck7ss You have to select the Sync to Midi to the Minibrute2s follows the midi from TR8, cous by default the Minibrute2s starts with the Sync on INT (internal)
Only improvement I’d make to this video is putting a beat under the synth for the last minute or so, I was dying to hear the patch in action! Otherwise great content.
It is a shame you did the whole demo with that ugly reverb!! It would sound much more like a modular synth: JUst a thought!
Ok, I just feel like it hard to really see the potential of a synth without a bit of effect...
all we need is ads?... goodness
shoot, thanks for letting me know, that's what happen when youtube automatically put the ads, wasn't my intention, I usually put one in the middle. I change this right now !
