Is there a chance iam getting this crash cause my pc can't support the game at the settings I have it cause that's what it tells me when the crash happens and that I should make sure I have the latest drivers(which I do) and iam also pretty sure my pc can support the settings I have cause I've been playing for so long with no problem

Thank you so much for this fix. I have this problem on Shadow of the Tomb Raider when DX12 is used instead of DX11. My benchmark on DX11 is 9,800++ points with minimum FPS at 39 but when this fixed my DX12 crash and used DX12, I get 11,000++ points and buttery smooth FPS at 75 with no drop in frames since my monitor can get to 75hz only. Again, thank you for this fix. On my other games, there are no problems, only on this particular game.
Yeah having the same problem shame on not being able to use dx 12 since this game was made for it anywhere over 30fps for the consoles.So have had to have it on dx 11 and forced 30fps to play it smoothly but hopefully with this I can unlock it and will find out if this works for me and actually get the pc experience from it without the crash every 5 mins
I never comment on videos, but I have had an issue where my games would crash and say d3d device lost. As battlefield 2042 cams out it was happening every other match. After trying this I’ve played two multiple hour sessions no problem. Thank you very much I’ve had this issue right out of the box and after over a year. I tried this. If you are having issues on AMD highly suggest trying this as it was the miracle my 5600xt needed. You sir are the man.
I have tried this, I’ve tried using DDU, I’ve upped my system recourse memory, I’ve tried every trick and method I’ve found online and some of them twice! Nothing is working! It mainly effects Shadow of the TombRaider!! I’m at a loss!! I love that game! It all happened after upgrading from a 2060 to a 3060 both Gigabyte RTX. Only thing I can think of is there are still driver files left over from the 2060? But DDU should’ve gotten them all. I’ve even altered my windows defender settings. If I can’t get this figured out I’m putting my 2060 back in and see if the issue goes away. If so the 3060 is going back.
Update: Windows offered an update recently since my last comment. I went ahead and allowed it to update. I had already checked for this in my previous attempts. But this was an option when I went to put the pc in safe mode. I followed through with the updates and thought, why not. Let’s try to play a game and especially the one that wouldn’t play more than a min and see if it had any effect. And to my surprise I can play my games!! I had already checked for system updates and nothing helped. But this update seemed to have the solution! I also made sure again that the NVidia 3D mode was set to half FPS. So far it’s been playing all day! Gonna continue to work with it and see what continues to work and what doesn’t.
yeah its great fix too bad it make a new problem where if a problem with a game that made the game freeze or lag .... windows wont use the Tdr and wont rest the driver ... so ur whole system will freeze and u will have to restart the pc ...

Turning off xmp/docp was the only thing that worked for me. In the end it seems my system just not want to play nice with my ram set to the full 3600 if I dial it down to say 3553 it works also just not at the max rated speed of 3600

Hello there! It partially helped. My game doesnt crash straight to desktop now but instead it causes immerse amount of lag so it just makes my crash slower and more painful (as i usually have to do hard reset due to CPU spiking up to 100% after such crash)

Was streaming P5S for 1.5hrs, then got the error and crashed both my stream and game. The error would pop up when I relaunch the game right after. I fixed this problem by updating my Nvidia Drivers thru GForce.
It somewhat worked? When the error is meant to happen it instead freezes everything except my cursor so I guess it did work but not as intended? It was only happening on a specific game which was weird.

@@dakira5595 I eventually fixed this problem by downclocking my video card. I have a 2070 rtx super. I used the evga precision x1 software to downclock my memory 221 hz and gpu 201 hz. After that I have had 0 crashes.
F new i remember that avoided upgrading DAI to delux edition and why i avoided it ppl said it causes issues forgot what issues but it makes sense days after doing it stsrted to get types Dx error and 1is this For me it happens bit adter dialoque and cutscene, i was planning to play 30min more before sleep but it happened so often i ended it for today yesterday its was just once
