    As always my friend, a very thoughtful and logical presentation. You add a ton to the space with your reviews. Frankly, I don't know where you find the time. I have enough time juggling all of the things I have going on without reviewing 11 devices...lol. Again, well done.

    Thank you Jeffrey for your reviews! Totally agreed. I had to choose between boox and supernote. I went for the Supernote because of the software and the writing experience as you already pointed out in the video. Sideloading apps was another thing that encouraged me to go for the supernote as I want to limit my access to apps only a couple of apps for reading pages i.e. pocket (I hope it would work). Annotating PDFs on Supernote is unmatched by any other device to my knowledge from the reviews on youtube. Again, thx for the reviews and the time you put into testing the device before making the reviews.

    Correct me if I have gotten the wrong impression, but it seems you are mostly interested in notetaking with perhaps a secondary in PDF reading? I don't see any mention of drawing or sketching in videos I reviewed so far. Do you have an opinion on which device(s) might be best for that? Other reviewers seem to like the Viwoods AI Paper for that. Also I think my primary featureset would revolve around reading EPUB books and PDFs, perhaps with minor notetaking on some of the more textbook-like. Which of the devices you've reviewed do you think would be a good match? I am leaning towards the AI Paper or the Go 10.3 so far.

    • @jeffreymoss
      @jeffreymoss  21 день тому +1

      I think that's a fair assessment, in that I do focus on notetaking more than anything. My next video on the Note Max will really hone in on document annotating, especially with PDFs. I've been also doing a series of polls on-line to gauge what devices other people are using for various activities that I don't generally do. Sketching is one of those, and in that survey 52 people voted with the Supernote coming in first, then the reMarkable, followed by Boox. Viwoods didn't get many votes, but I know my friend Vladimir Kostek really likes to sketch, and he does seem to like the AIPaper for that purpose. You may want to check out his channel to get his thoughts. I'm hoping to do a video based on all the polls I'm collecting, but that's a month or two away.

      @jeffreymoss Thanks for the detailed response. I was discouraged by the hardware specs and old OS of the Supernote, though others have already chastised me on that front. I will seek out other reviews for those models you mentioned that have a drawing element.

    Great content again, Jeffery!
    From your reviews I know you really enjoy the big AI Paper. I was thinking between this one and the Manta but the latter is just outrageously expensive in Europe and so I'm on the verge of buying myself a Viwoods.
    Would you tell me how the responsiveness is on the Viwoods compared to the Supernote? How is it just messing around with the menus, scrolling through pages (on an uploaded document) , going back and forth on different options, different pens, switching through pages on the menu, etc.?
    Thanks in advance!

    • @jeffreymoss
      @jeffreymoss  Місяць тому +1

      I would call the Viwoods currently halfway between the most responsive tablets and the sluggish ones. In other words, it has a slight delay to some of the button pushes (both on screen and haptic) but I find myself adjusting to that. I haven't reviewed the Manta yet, but the Supernote A5X and Nomad are both snappier, in my opinion. Since you are asking the question, I suspect the Viwoods may not be responsive enough for you. I do think Viwoods can do software tweaks to make it more responsive, but until they do that, there can be a beat between pressing a menu item and it executing the step. Hope that helped.

    I bought note go 10.3 from Amazon and I’m debating to return it for Boox 4c. What do you recommend and thank you for all of your great videos.

    • @jeffreymoss
      @jeffreymoss  9 днів тому

      I guess I'd need to know your use case, and why you are returning the 10.3. That would help to focus my answer.

    Thanks for the reviews, I've enjoyed them. Just curious where the Mobiscribe Wave would have ranked for combination of note-taking and price. I've ordered a Boox Go 10.3 to try, but also thinking about the Mobiscribe for my family to use for lists and such.

    • @jeffreymoss
      @jeffreymoss  Місяць тому +1

      Wow, that's a great question. With the B&W model at around $110, that's a huge plus. But the screen size will still hold it back. Hmmmm . . . I might change my mind from what I'm about to say, but my gut is telling me it would rank around 5th place. It's not a better device than the Viwoods Mini or Bigme S6+ Lite, but it's good enough that the price point launches it to the top of that heap.

    @userhdbfdfjkhfdhf Місяць тому +1

    Which do you think is the best B/W eReader in terms of text clarity for reading? Personally, I'd prefer a 7.8" size, but any variations are welcome.

    • @jeffreymoss
      @jeffreymoss  Місяць тому

      I find eReaders fairly ubiquitous, so I don't review those as I do with notetaking devices. I'd look to Boox since they have the Google Play store and access to all the reading apps. Perhaps the Boox Page?

    • @quantrilion
      @quantrilion Місяць тому

      Boox page is great since it gives you the ability to use the play store and use it as an all purpose reader. For example you can read your instapaper/readwise saved articles as well. If you don't care about that feature, I'd suggest kobo libra 2 which has awesome battery life and a very good reading experience. One con is that you're locked in the kobo universe

    I agree not adding Nomad to the list and also Kobo like Libra 2 or Colour. The size needs to be at least 10 inches for a comfortable writing experience.
    I'm looking forward to what Viwoods next and not as much as Boox anymore. I'm excited for your Supernote Manta review next year. Hopefully, I get mine by the time your videos come out.
    Happy Holidays!

    No Kindle Scribe?

    • @jeffreymoss
      @jeffreymoss  Місяць тому

      Yeah, I didn't review that in 2024. I thought the release they did this year was too incremental to warrant the expense of purchase. If I had put them in there, I'd probably put them close to the Ellipsa 2E. The scribe is a better notetaker than the Kobo, but I prefer the Kobo's reading experience. Since this list is driven mainly by the notetaking features, that would have probably placed the Scribe one place better than the Kobo.
