When Chris was tapping out the ding in the wing, I suddenly thought of the episode of Father Tad where Ted tried to repair a small dent in the bonnet. Now there's a perfectionist !
Previously i would never have entertained buying a crash repaired vehicle, but having watched many of your videos i would buy one from you, you show the process the effort and the dedication to getting it back to how it was, fair play.
You've got a cool deal with this salvage yard and it benefits both of you. You're being very respectful in this regard and honest as well and that's what's important. I really enjoy the variety of the vehicles you and Chris work on.
Seeing where the lamppost embedded itself in the front of the spare vehicle reminded me of a story from long ago. I was working overseas, and one of our vehicles had a similar, though smaller, dent, complete with lamppost coloured pain. The driver claimed he parked, only to return later, and find a dent. He was sent off to the police compound, to explain his issue. The sergeant listened, asked if that was a true account, the driver said yes. The police then said okay, just sit in this room for a moment, the door clicked. Right, said the sergeant now listen to our story, 'we have released you, sleep well'. Lying to the police did not go down well. Back to the car, great that it is not recorded as damaged, and that hunting for parts is going well. The pulling, hammering and plashing was an excellent bit of recording, since we saw the bent panel ease is way back into shape one more, great stuff. Rob, always practice on scrap you get passing through to the waste bin, there is no risk, so no worry, and practice makes for skilled workers.
I’d love to hear about where it all started for Chris. Where his passion for working with his hands came from and how it came to being. Surely you don’t build that level of skill set in just three years in the crash repair business. Just by virtue of the old Morris truck in the family, I suspect there’s a good family story in their of skills being passed down and the fact he lives on a farm. You don’t just build that amount of tools and equipment just like that either. I bet it’s as fascinating to hear that tale as watching the great man at work.
Chris is a Legend! - bodywork is the scariest part of a car for me :( -feels like a lost art in a throwaway culture, great work, and love the channel guys! -even without the money aspect, I enjoy seeing cars being saved :)
100% would love to hear his back story. You pick up bits along the way, the family Morris etc and plain to see his passion for not cutting corners and doing the job right. Would be an interesting outro CHRIS ❤👌👍
Thank the Lord, that you and Chris met years ago. 🙏 Without you meeting, we wouldn't be experiencing these wonderful video's now and learning so much about fixing and repairing vehicles! 🙂👍
Distinct differences between earlier and later videos Chris gets a lot more involved with commentary now and quality is now a lot better .How it's grown from the early channel days
I really have to say to you and Chris, your work and expertise has honestly brought my faith back in the used car trade, you both have set the bar very high now. I would buy a car from you guys without hesitation. Keep the visa coming .
Nice one Rob to say about the people who keep saying about taking parts off you haven't paid for as your spot on people don't realise your an honest person and have got good things going with contacts you've built up with good relationship with them I'm talking about the talk you were saying about the parts car them letting you take the whole car situation
Hi fellas, I put some leather on a tapping block, sometimes, saves painting some jobs, just a good t cut and polish, also put some heat on to the panel.
I have been watching your videos, maybe from the start and still now every new one you guys add is a joy to see. Thank you and here's to another great year of Salvage rebuilds.
Been watching yer vids for a while now. Noted you are very quick to Praise Chris (and rightly so) BUT you are in my opinion selling yerself short.. Take a bit of credit because you deserve it. Thanks for the entertainment and Compliments of the season to youze and yours.
Watching Chris hammer out the inner wing "bit" and I swear it just seems like random tapping and hammering - but look - straight metal. Anyone can hammer a bit of metal, but good panel beating is an absolute art-form. Chris' skills are "just a bit" beyond a gallon of filler and some paint ! Added note - Just realised this was a 1 hour video - probably the longest I have seen from you guys. Yep - Watched it all. Watching the repairs being done is quite therapeutic :) I hope your mate is happy with the car - its a nice car for the ££ for sure.
nice to see two pros at work. would have no worries about buying a motor from you guys. have a great new year and cant wait to see what you have in store for us in 2022.👍👍👍
Hi Chris been a panel beater for 45 years Chris is good but we use a dolly to knock out and planing hammer to dress in not other way around as per white fiesta but he good
quality channel .all the best lads for 2022 .you lads are so gifted in vehicle repairs .Methodical and take pride in everything you do .wish there were more guys like you two in the trade .
Great content over the hols guys. Without doubt my number one UA-camrs. Hope your both having a lovely Christina’s. Looking forward to more great work and vids in the New Year. Cheers 🍻
Thanks for keeping these coming over Christmas guys. This one was clearly in the can for a while but nevertheless good to see and a welcome break from the dross on TV. Merry Christmas to you both.
I did Auto body repairs and spraying till 2004. When my good friend Patrick Roach passed away I could never find.Good second hand car parts .. Then went on to doing vw beach buggies and always used Kingfish Customs.seems just like yesterday wishful thinking ,hope you still doing well David Kingfish Customs
Haha, I have rental cars. I got to one of my vans once and was struggling to work out how the damage occurred. Went back over the pick up photos and worked out it was two borrowers and two separate hits. My insurer wanted more detailed pictures so I went back and by that time, it had copped another in a different location on the same panel
Nice to see you guys back at it and a happy new year to you both. I usually miss everything so can I be the first to wish both of you a happy Easter. Stay safe. :)
The same sort of mis-communication happens in our "Not So" Royal Mail. Even though I enter the destination "bar Code" on the label, the clerk has to re-enter it to mis-ship it across the country to an unknown destination. Narragansett Bay
Good on you Chris. What your doing is usually a panel beaters bread and butter. But you certainly know what you're doing with these repairs. Did you say 'Cosworth'?
Wow a Bentley 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻😀😀😀be lovley if it turns out to be fairly simple fix depending on how expensive the ecu comes in at glad you have pinned it down to that well done guys 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
great to see you close to the quart million mark for subs, a testament to your hard work, attention to detail and good honest hard work guys, here's hoping you have an equally great 2022. :):):):)
boys your so onit, organized and in front of it all, no wonder you get the cars done, not only done but done good, rob you and chris are so good at what you do, i would buy a car off you in the blink of an eye, i think its safe to say that making this channel, you have made people realize buying salvage is a good thing when done tidy, and you never fail to do that, outstanding 💖👍, happy new year guys 😉👍👍
It states throwback in the title bud so if you have seen them all there’s no need to click on it. You may have watched it but there’s over 150.000 subscribers that haven’t
£2500 was a good price. Car was damaged and if it was crushed the women wouldn't of got anything back. You are a very fare and honest man. Great video and good work
Hi Rob & Chris it is amazing work you both do & do your magic to make good you both deserve a break please have all the best to you both & you family s🔧🔧🔧🥂😎
Your friend must be one you've crashed with after a pub crawl for that bargain basement price. I really loved this video including the length of it. Really great content. Thank you and may you have a happy and prosperous New Year.
When Chris was tapping out the ding in the wing, I suddenly thought of the episode of Father Tad where Ted tried to repair a small dent in the bonnet. Now there's a perfectionist !
Nice
Ditto, I was thinking the exact same thing lol
So did I! 😂😂😂
Ahh! You nearly had it there, Ted. 😂
@@tomtodhunter1776 YES! 😂😂😂

You've got a cool deal with this salvage yard and it benefits both of you. You're being very respectful in this regard and honest as well and that's what's important. I really enjoy the variety of the vehicles you and Chris work on.

You two did witchcraft or magic or stuff. You put out a throwback sunday on boxing day! Boom!
If you add in yours and Robs labour hours plus the overheads for the garage the £3k profit must be much less, hope you 2 have a very busy new year

Yeah - for a 04 plate, that Bentley was a quality number. Stick a private plate on it and it does not look anywhere close to a 17 year old car !
