It's 1:30am in the UK, and I might have smoked a cheeky one or two, but at 11:40 into the video I could've sworn I heard someone say "you have to go back.." It's messed me up a bit lol....
You can hear "Go back -- Go back" a few times quietly just before it says "You have to go back" a bit louder.. AND THEN you hear "Go Back -- Go back" with a trailing off voice right as he starts to focus on the fossil... Use earbuds, you Will definitely hear all of it. It starts at about 11:38 and ends at 11:46...
That stuff on the ground at 15:42 looks very much like a smartphone on the left (partially obscured by rocks, screen dirty if facing up; might be upside-down) and on the right (the blue thing) what might be some sort of bag (perhaps for the phone; if it's a bag, it seems damaged), and left of the smartphone-looking object there's what looks like two AA or AAA batteries (next to a rock that's about the same length as the phone; one battery is below the rock, the other above the rock; the batteries are facing opposite directions; they're visually reminiscent of Duracells but with the color order reversed; the batteries are hard to see on a normal-sized 1080p monitor and still hard to see on a 4K one unless the monitor is physically very large, but you can easily see them on a 1080p display with the video set to 4K if you do Shift+Ctrl+M in Firefox and enter a res slightly above 4K - like for example 3980x2400 - which enables you to see the entire 4K video frame at its true 3840x2160 size when in fullscreen despite being on a 1080p monitor, and you can easily see them on a 4K monitor by taking a screenshot with the video set to 4K and then enlarging that screenshot). Not so sure about the blue bag-like object, but that definitely looks like batteries and a smartphone.
I'm like 75% sure that's a smartphone. It might all just be rocks etc, but considering those rounded corners combined with the dimensions it looks very much like a smartphone. I'm not trying to see smartphones and I can't assert with any certainty that the following object is one, however I later noticed from 13:23 to 13:25 in the water there's another smartphone-shaped object. This object is much harder to be sure about due to being muddier and due to the visual distortions caused by the water. Due to the water distortion, it looks more like a smartphone while the video is in motion than when paused. Can't be very sure about this one. This one has a greater chance of simply being a rock. However the dimensions are right for a smartphone and so is the size as we can see for a few frames when he has his hand next to it (keep in mind his hand is a little bit closer to us and the object a little bit lower down, so if he held it then it would appear slightly bigger, and while things look larger submerged in water when looking down from above the surface there's probably extremely little of that going on there as it seems to be _just_ under the surface of the water so the object's real size is probably very close to the way it appears). Only noticed this second smartphone-shaped object because I later went to a timestamp left by another commenter for what he thought is a corpse, and then I let the video play for a bit and just happened to notice the smartphone-shape in the water. The corpse-like thing is about 52 seconds earlier at 12:31 - 12:32 at the top of the frame. I see what he means; certainly a part of that looks feet-like as he said and there's an outline of the shape of a body, but can't really be sure if it's a corpse or just rocks. Leaning towards it not being a corpse (but not ruling it out). Much more sure about the other stuff, especially the first smartphone-object. However it's peculiar that the improvised torch is so close by. Perhaps multiple individuals got lost in the dark in the cave and dropped their smartphones. Perhaps they used them for light and the batteries ran out, or they were attacked by an animal (or another human) and simply dropped them. Not trying to make things spooky. I have to say the red color being blood seems very silly. If he genuinely thought it might be blood (and wasn't saying that to create spooky content for more views), that was likely his fear messing with his mind, with his reasoning, with his judgement. Blood quickly turns dark. And there's no way blood would look like that in such a location even if super fresh. Much more likely to be paint, or even just an unusual reddish rock. Another commenter said it might be red paint to mark a dead end. That might be the case, as he missed a white arrow earlier - between 9:45 to 9:52 - pointing the opposite direction that he went. I'm not saying his fear was irrational or unfounded, however. He might've had good reasons to be afraid. Maybe he even subconsciously sensed something bad had happened in the cave. And there might very well have been a predatory animal in the cave at the time. But the red color being blood is extremely unlikely. Would be really interesting to see what's on that first smartphone, if it really is one. If it's a smartphone in the water, that one is probably too destroyed to work. Would be cool if he returned to this cave (armed and in company, to dispel his fears) and properly checks _all_ these objects out. Would also be cool if he uploaded an uncut version (or at least an "extended" version) of this video on ActionAdventureClips as there might be more things to notice that's not in this shortened video.
@@slavnat8446 Wrong spot. That's not the object I was referring to. The smartphone-looking object in the water (the entire object is under the surface and laying flat) is between 13:23 and 13:25 - after 25, it's no longer in frame. The hand I was referring to is his right hand, not his left. And just so you know, you can advance _frame by frame_ with the , and . buttons.
@@RolandtheThompsonGunneranimals still need a slight light source like the stars to be able to see at night. They have a tissue on their retina that reflect more light inside their eyeballs. They can’t just magically create light where there isn’t any.

It’s a limestone cave, there is a very limited risk of pieces of the ceiling falling on you, the “going alone” argument is stupid because getting stuck in a cave-in alone or as a group doesn’t change the fact that you’re trapped. The only way being with other people can help is if you’re somehow clumsy enough to sprain an ankle. As long as he told someone which cave he’s going to and an expected return time he’s fine.
@officebear4637 what is you issue? Commenting on everyone's posts. Maybe do some soul searching... far far away from comment sections. Maybe try anger management classes too

Every time you mentioned seeing more bear tracks, I can’t believe you kept going in further. Omg not safe, especially all alone. The blood freaked me out and then you mentioned that whatever was out hunting would be heading back in. Holy cow.

So there's a thing... a mystery hole next to a waterfall near Burnsville Minnesota. It's honestly easiest to access when everything's frozen because you can just walk across the river to the hole. It's underneath an old mill/car manufacturing plant. I've been in summer and winter, you can only go about 50 feet back without getting wet. Once you're wet I don't know if there are dropoffs but I have never gone in the water. You can't see much but for sure it goes back a ways, there is still old machinery far back there. I would love to see someone equipped and with enough experience to check it out! Vermillion Falls, follow the mill's wall to the falls and you're in. Beware
That's racoon prints lmao. Literally just look at a picture of racoon and bear prints. A human had to laboriously bellycrawl through muddy gravel to get back there. It's not a bear. 🤣
I would probably rather run into a bear as opposed to a raccoon! Especially while belly crawling through tight karst. Bear would have difficulties getting to you. But that coon wouldn't have any problems latching on to your face!

All this crap about 'don't do it alone'. Jeez. Most people aren't into this stuff (though they may watch) and when it gets to the 'scary' part most pussy out. A lot of these locations means hours of hiking and climbing. You can't just dial in or parachute in a magical friend. Sometimes it's either alone or not at all. 95% of caves and mines I've done are ALONE! Simply because there's no other way. Get real!

There were a couple of 'dudes' but that was OK, lol. Always trust your instincts. It took me 40 years to learn that. I always say that to be a caver, you've got to be a little crazy. Who sane person would say, 'hey, look at that crack in the rock, I wonder if I can squeeze in there and see where it goes?' Great short tour, and no, should never go caving alone, and especially without telling someone when you'd be back. I watched the cave with the rain earlier, so now you've shown three things that a caver should never do - go caving alone, don't tell someone when you will be getting back, and caving when it's going to rain, especially in a wet cave. I'm glad that you're ok, though. Thanks!
You guys are always welcomed to come to my house. There's a big cave down the road from me that I've heard it connects to another cave system. There is a crawl and on the other side, you can hear a massive amount of water roaring. I didn't have my pads when I found the crawl way. There was a lot of broken glass and sharp rocks in it. It also has a collapsed entrance making it having two entrance points.
Red paint bruh… It’s not blood for sure on a rock it would have been darker not as bright the blood would have been a burgundy not that bright red.. it was paint..
@@no2thenwo737 lmfao 😂 a rag.. blood would fade with moisture, red rag would fade with conditions in the cave.. Only thing would survive conditions that long and stay that bright is PAINT..
It's probably a small animal that got into the cave, got lost then probably fell while climbing around and died. How an animal gets that deep into a cave like that is truly baffling.
Thanks for the content. Hard to believe there are people losing sleep, having nightmares, and unsubscribing over this video. Everyday there are people entering caves alone and doing basic scouting. Is it risky, heck yes. We all take risks. Getting behind the wheel is a risk. An animal attack, in theory, could kill or injure every caver if there were more people. Clearly advice was given that you shouldn't go alone and you should have a call out. I assume there was a backup battery or spare headlamp which is the only essential for caving. Again, thanks for the content and giving people a taste of what it can be like to cave alone. The distorted angles make it hard to know if there was spraypaint or blood but it was probably more apparent in person. If you aren't sure then there is no harm in retreating. Nobody is obligated to investigate despite what people will say. Glad you made it out and I look forward to another adventure...hopefully the same cave. I assume you wouldn't fire a gun in a cave unless absolutely necessary since it could damage your eardrum and possibly ricochet near you and injure you (very unlikely). I always think about bringing a gun but never do. Bear spray in cave is a horrible idea since it's almost guaranteed to affect you since air usually blows out of the cave in the direction you plan to travel. Possibly you could spray at a target coming in after you but not one further in the cave without major risk to yourself. If you would have died, at least you would have been doing something you are passionate about. You wouldn't be the first, nor the last, you would just be one of the more talked about because of your channel. Being near fearless comes with a price but it's hard to substitute the adrenaline rush. I get it. I cave alone at times and it is a thrill that I could live without but it's hard when local grottos become good old boy clubs. Can't stop, won't stop.
12:32 Is it just me or does it look like there's skeleton legs and feet here. The one on the bottom looks like a rainboot thats frayed at the top, with a rock partially on the ankle area, and then another leg/foot right above it that looks like the toes are curled and the leg has been badly broken (needless to say). There's a whole bunch of odd looking fragments all in that area, and it could absolutely be pareidolia, but that in conjunction with the abandoned torch and weird knife thing, not to mention that red spot...idk...and the way ppl can get hurt and just covered in mud down there until you cant even tell what you're looking at...it just gives me goosebumps and makes me question everything I'm seeing. Anybody else see that? (Btw, i had to play it at .25x to catch it. I had initially slowed it down to check out the torch and caught this instead)
3:58…..actually, broke 3 rules. 1) Never go caving alone; 2) Always let someone on the surface know when you’ll exit; 3) Be adequately equipped (I presume his pack held additional gear). One outstanding curiosity and question-- If you’re going to drive 5 hours (one way?) for a cave, why would you not come fully equipped and with a group just in case it was a going cave? 10 hours round trip travel time and to be that hastily/scantly prepared? Maybe everything encountered in the cave was happenstance, but the ingredients build into the following subplot……a mystery commenter gives cave location…….totally alone on the trip………animal tracks, scat, remnant torch, dilapidated knife, red coloration on a distant wall (no reason to conclude it to be blood at that point)……all leads to intrigue, a catchy title and potential future content. Mind you, any of those elements alone can be encountered in a cave. While we don’t know what led you to your being alone for this trip, you made us watch!
Near the end where you turned around heading out after what you thought was up ahead, freeze frame at 15:08 mid screen to the right in the mud, that is a mountain lion paw print in the mud above water line. Exactly a mountain lion print, one was in there to were you where, scary.

I'm thinking the smell of bear should be making your eyes water and your mind want to run. The smell is similar to hogs, but more like raw sewage. Did you hear the bear flapping their jaws, the most common warning sign?
Man, you're videos are the best an its so intriguing going through those twisting water tunnels. However, did you notice, at 9:48, when you go down that slope, there was a white arrow pointing to the right, and you went left, right were that knife was sitting??!! And further on that way, was the torch, then blood! You gotta go back with some people, or just call the police?? Cause if you went in with a torch, how'd did you get out? Maybe somebody lost there way in the dark and walked into that spiky rock that looked like it had blood?? But if there a body, you probably would have smelt it, or flies?? Sketchy indeed. pause, slides bag between rocks towards the den! xD
Definitely a smart phone.... Scary if all the items add up to something bad happened.

Thanks!

Maybe everything encountered in the cave was happenstance, but the ingredients build into the following subplot……a mystery commenter gives cave location…….totally alone on the trip………animal tracks, scat, remnant torch, dilapidated knife, red coloration on a distant wall (no reason to conclude it to be blood at that point)……all leads to intrigue, a catchy title and potential future content. man you guys need to come up to Vancouver Island BC, more caves than the rest of the country combined. Heard of a cave that no one had explored yet....
1:53 is that gold above your head , upper right 😮 ?
Would love to know how you all find your way back out…canes seems so cavernous, so much so one could get lost at any turn, descent or climb…how do you find you way back to cave entrance?
I’m pretty sure this is exactly what James meant when he answered my question the other day.
Glad your luck continues to hold and that you followed your gut that it was time to exit, post haste.
What did he say?
@@lazerman121oh, I’d wondered if it was coincicidence they seem to have more large animal run-ins in mines than caves.
It is.
7:30 if they were bear prints, the toes would’ve been a lot closer together. They look pretty far apart so it’s either coyote/wolf or feline paw prints
Come on! You can't not go investigate the blood pile! Go back with Dave and Hannah, he'd wrestle that bear and drag it out as a trophy.
you had it backwards man, whatever is making that cave its shelter sleeps in the day and hunts at night. If that was blood that red it was fresh, and just like humans when we get take out we usually wait till we get home to eat it rather than at the stop sign down the road. you came pretty close to whatever was in there be it bear, coyote, mountain lion none sound very fun to bump into in a cave. always bring a gun man. I hope whoever went in there and left their torch, knife, and what looked like rummaged through supplies along the trek was as lucky as you.
Well if you like forgotten caves next time you're in ooltewah Tennessee outside of Chattanooga Tennessee pull up ooltewah high School. Go around to the Snow hill road side and you'll see a pair of orange utility poles marking underground lines . Follow it down to the creekside and then turn a right from that entry point and follow the little trailer around and you'll find a cave. I've been back in in about a hundred yards and it's not dissimilar from the one in this video. We didn't even have flashlights so when the Zippos weren't doing it anymore we turned around 🤣 if you need to there's a Publix on the corner you can park at
#1 Rule NEVER GO ALONE 😮.Great video glad you made it out
A little recon mission for the rest of the team to come back on turned into quite an adventure- well done! I was super interested in what made the rocks blue and the drum room you found. The cave seemed tight but still doable. I’m glad you turned around when you did I was getting nervous for you I can’t get the story of the nutty putty cave out of my head and want you guys to be safe so good you followed your intuition and left when you did. This was a very interesting adventure thank you for taking us on it!
bro, I absolutely love your sh*t and you got a nice crew. Stumble upon you channel earlier this week and now Im watching it all. Soo balsy man! Stay safe, cheers
Please go back with more people 🙏
Do you contact any authorities if you find human belongings in these caves? It could help some family with members who go missing without a trace
That’s not blood… old blood turns black… that’s more likely paint
yeah because someone carried paint that deep just because... And who said it had to be old blood?
Paint? Goof as...That is a lower oxtgen environment... Also...Fresh blood.
A red rag.
@@Beadledom2024 it’s not a low oxygen environment… if it was, he would have an oxygen supply on him, or he’d be dead
I was thinking that too.. It could either be fresh or dried to dark brown...
Those two stacked boulders @ 1:38 should've been a warning. They look like someone stacked them from the other side to keep people out.
