ALICE COOPER RELEASES SECOND SINGLE “OUR LOVE WILL CHANGE THE WORLD” FROM THE UPCOMING STUDIO ALBUM “DETROIT STORIES”
Alice Cooper releases the second single from his upcoming new studio album “Detroit Stories,” which will be released on February 26th 2021 on earMUSIC. The song is accompanied by a lyric video.
“Our Love Will Change The World” comes with innocent and hopeful melodies and joyous up-beat tempo and an overall happy atmosphere.
But is that really what the lyrics are telling us about?
Alice himself explains:
“I think “Our Love Will Change The World” is one of the oddest songs I’ve ever done and it was one that came to us by somebody else, another Detroit writer. And it was so strange, because it was happy and what it was saying was anything but happy - it was simply a great juxtaposition. And I got it immediately and said “okay, this is going to be great”. The music saying one thing and the lyrics saying something else, I love that song. It is totally different from anything else on the album.”

“Detroit Stories,” Alice’s upcoming new album, is a celebration of the sound and spirit of the Golden Era of Detroit rock.
"Detroit was Heavy Rock central then,” explains Alice, “You’d play the Eastown and it would be Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent, the Stooges and the Who, for $4! The next weekend at the Grande it was MC5, Brownsville Station and Fleetwood Mac, or Savoy Brown or the Small Faces. You couldn’t be a soft-rock band or you’d get your ass kicked."
“Los Angeles had its sound with The Doors, Love and Buffalo Springfield,” he says, “San Francisco had the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane. New York had The Rascals and The Velvet Underground. But Detroit was the birthplace of angry hard rock. After not fitting in anywhere in the US (musically or image wise) Detroit was the only place that recognized the Alice Cooper guitar driven, hard rock sound and our crazy stage show. Detroit was a haven for the outcasts. And when they found out I was born in East Detroit... we were home.”
50 years later, Alice and Ezrin have united in Detroit with their Detroit friends to record “Detroit Stories,” Cooper’s new album.
If 2019’s “Breadcrumbs” EP laid down the trail to the city, “Detroit Stories” drives like a muscle car right down Woodward Ave.
Discover Detroit Stories as they were meant to be told.

"The Ministry of Peace concerns itself with war, the Ministry of Truth with lies, the Ministry of Love with torture and the Ministry of Plenty with starvation. These contradictions are not accidental, nor do they result from from ordinary hypocrisy: they are deliberate exercises in doublethink"
George Orwell, 1984
Exactly
jesus. sounds like people that judge you by your skin color then say they're not racist. Like if you judge me by my skin color - yeah that's racist. Doublethink, eh? Well now i know.
Reminds me of Trump’s EPA.
How profound for this day and age in which we are living!

Lol, that was in the email notification too.
Exactly what I was thinking. The message is clear, but yet there's this uncomfortable cynical subtlety that underlies achieving such a state of being. Somehow Alice has managed to capture the notion of the Uncanny Valley within this song; and somehow I'm not surprised.
Outrageous Cherry
I wish i could write like this.
We love you Alice!!!!!! Always!
This is the best thing I've heard in a long time.
Brilliant, y'all.
Twisted.
Appropriate.
Creepy.
Catchy.
I dig it.
The original's cool, too.
Love this song, as a Beatles fan whom has made the "pilgrimage" to Liverpool, I get a distinct Mid 60's beatles vibe, but with the touch of humor we can always expect from the master of rock theatre, Alice Cooper. Love it!!
Alice Cooper's Flying Circus!
(hey, seeing Alice in Terry Gilliam-style cutouts is pretty damned awesome!)
This is a cover of a song by an obscure Detroit band called Outrageous Cherry. Proof that Alice keeps his ear to the ground. Here is the original version:
ua-cam.com/video/_R8j9D8mcXg/v-deo.html
The original was recorded 12 years ago, and Alices cover was released 12 hours ago.....
Thanks, it was interesting to compare. Gods, is this chorus catchy!
I am glad he's out of soft metal
@@audehezard6904 nothing to compare really, its basically the exact same song (despite some lyrical changes and the odd flourish)
but it's also Weezer- Keep fishing and The beatles- revolution
Satirical brilliance.
Almost fitty years of his music since I knew who he was and Alice can still surprise with something fresh. Alice has never been one to have any one specific sound either way but this is a style that most haven't been exposed to. It's never over until you've nothing more to do ... Look forward to seeing you soon ....
This is so Beatles-esque, probably most so of all his songs.
It is very Beatlesque. Love the art style
No, it sounds like Martin Newell actually
This is not an Alice song. It's a cover. The original song is by Outrageous Cherry.
Sounds like the Osmond brothers. Ironically, Donnie Osmond gave his fans the power, in the Department of Youth.
I was just about to make the same observation. Let me just add that the Beatles does Beatles better than Alice Cooper.
When Alice is not singing about love he is singing about a crazy man chopping up a body...
But everybody knows he's gonna steal that car.
Millie and. Billie
Awesome. Thanks Alice.
"the video is weird indeed but
this whole year has been weird
and this song is something you'd
expect from Alice Cooper and
I think this is a big hit and if it
doesn't become a hit we'll know why....
the music world of today doesn't know
good music anymore this is great."-🙂👌🌐🌎🌍🌏🌐..
So fitting for the times we are living! YOU ARE MY HERO!
Alice Cooper contaminated the minds of children with his poisonous polluting music / Lyrics for decades , he is part of the reason the world is like it is now . .
@@parabot2 You sound like my grandpa. If you don't like it you have a choice to not listen to it. Everyone has played a part to make the world what it is. Don't be so judgemental.
@@darkdaughter0074 Plato and the Ancient greeks know the power of music and it's ability to undermine the human mind and civilisation . Cooper is smart enough to get this , unlike his fans .
Alice is a damned genius!
He's not damned. He's saved 🟢🙏🟤
The best thing from Alice in years. Kids, this is what Alice is all about. Shocking you. Putting cool music out that's not Metal. But Beatles quality. This is Alice to me. Thank you for the Great song!
I was thinking Beetles too
yeah, he really went back to the roots with this track
I like this.Wish Alice would get back to rock and roll and give metal a break. He is good at so many styles.
Penny Lane for sure!
Once again Alice shows off his musical knowledge with a different sound. Not what he's known for but still a pretty good tune
This is too cool! Musical irony at its finest. This should be the official video.
Utterly brilliant!
I love alice cooper
WOW. AC is amazing, he is a 72 y/o legend and still making good music like this! Keep it up dude!!
Alice is the entertainer that got me into hard rock, shock rock and heavy metal when my father first introduced me to him back in 1996 with his Fistful of Alice live album... I've owned every album and plenty of the VHS/DVDs, seen him live several times. Absolutely love him and his work, but instead of mimicking the Outrageous Cherry sound, I wish Alice had put more of his unique touch on it.
Awesome song!!!
A song set to extremes. 🤘
Great friggin song off of a great album as well.
Great song, amazing singer and beautiful video !
Just LOVE. So different, yet so incredible!!!
It´s a dystopic future he's singing about, our children are disappointed about our generation and the lyrics tells us that they will change the world by doing creepy things, Alice Cooper is a fantastic writer and a very innovative person. I like it
Shame he didn't write it then
Absolutely love this track. Feels like a companion to his CLONES song. Really good.
Well, you can't say the man doesn't have range! One album has a serial killer collecting human body parts with the idea of using them to make some sort of spider and then there's this. Never change Coop, never change!
Brilliant from Alice!
That made my day, thanks Alice!
Awwwe! Look at the cute kids! Lol.
I love how his new stuff has a huge 60s vibe to it. Awesome. Seen him about 5 times btw.
This video and song is great. I am a big Alice fan, even though it is a cover, it's typical Alice. His songs start out with a story, then they take a crazy left turn.
Matt Smith and Outrageous Cherry making Detroit proud ! THis was always a favorite of their live shows...amazing cover !
I noticed Alice changed the lyrics in the second stanza giving him song writing credit. His addition makes it less political and more universal. I like the ransom note video artwork filtered through the Monty Python-esque animation, and the Alice Cooper character transformation at its end. 🖤
no he doesn't have songwriting credit.
It very much reminds me of the political left right now and what's going on in this world
3D verse and bridge, 5D chorus.
It's like one's view who got stuck in 3D but seizes a little of the ascension.
Or one on another pseudo-spiritual path talking by-heart-learned stuff and going back to his/ her reality in between the yoga sessions.
Hillarious!
You might not like this song now but you'll get used to it anyhow 😉
I already like it. Your logic is void.

Its a cover. 😆 15 years ago it was on UA-cam.
I think you people pee your pants, how do you like that?
I can't wait for the full album to come out
I'm just loving it... it's awesome Alice style with a tuneful twist!
Happy Birthday Alice! 75 today 🥳☠
I absolutely adore this
Outrageous Cherry cover!
This is why Alice is the greatest...
Very Beetlesque. I like it. It reminds me of the flavor of Flush The Fashion 80' One of my favorite albums still in heavy rotation. ✌🍻
Flush the Fashion is awesome. Too many people forget about that one.
A Very Cool Song
& A Very Appropriate Video

crazy or not mister cooper rocks
Love Outrageous Cherry. Saw them twice. Matt was super cool and nice and approachable.
Great version by Alice. Very faithful.
Alice Cooper Always been great.always will be!
Alice Is The Best. ❤️
It sounds like classic 70s Cooper... A bit of the softer side of him for my taste but it's nice to see this is his 'full circle' moment by the sound of it.
"It sounds like classic 70s Cooper..." No, it doesn't. At all.
@@Polychrome1201 it would have fit perfectly beside School's Out, is my point. "In my opinion"
I guess it's a bit strange, but my two favorite bands and singers of all time, are The Beatles and Alice Cooper. ( Alice / Vincent's use of the double entendre and him being a Wordsworth are Legendary. In my very humble opinion, Paul and Vincent ( Alice ) are simply the Best. Long may they Run. ( And Rock )
This make me laugh, so, even being nihilist AF, it improved my day lol
truly from the 60´s
That's my Alice!! Always full of shock.
I was listening this song on Spotify right after a commercial. I was thinking "Oh dear when does this commercial end?"
Wonderful music. I Love. Alice Cooper Forever
Awesome!!
Your Voice is wonderful
Take a look at my face, I am the future... how do you like what you see. Take a look at my face I belong to the future - and you belong to me.

love it ... Thank you Alice ... for the music and for keeping the sole of Detroit alive. See you when you can tour again.
Oh god, this new Coop album is gonna be great
I can’t believe how thrilling it is to hear such a cool song from Alice Cooper. And when the virus first came out he also had a song that was just amazing. He’s really surprising me, with his fantastic lyrics, original voice, and damn coolness. He’s the best
We seen him just before the pandemic .lol see him every year. And his vocals are still amazing....him and Dennis d young just keep kicking ass!!
not his song. not his lyrics. Alice did a covers record of Detroit bands.
He didn't write it
Good cover
God I hope I get to see this live someday.
Excellent!
God bless you Alice!!! beautiful song!!! and so true!!!
Good song
It's good to hear Alice getting more catchy material.Like back in the heyday.
I love this Alice voice.
Great song Alice! Can't wait to hear it in concert next year, 2021!
When he sings “when you look into ITS eyes” gives me the same emotion as when I first saw the alien burst out of John Hurts chest. This is cosmic. Thankyou Sir Alice Cooper xxx
Great song, I love it!!
The original was recorded 12 years ago, and Alices cover came out 12 hours ago.....strange & wonderful 💛
Firefly Funhouse + Making Fiends = This.
Just another great Alice song 🖤🖤😍😍can’t wait for the full album on Feb 26!!!😃🤩
But he didn't frigging write it!!!
Alice does it again 🐐
Beautiful song!
Thank you Alice. Nice to see you again
If I didn't know this was Alice Cooper... Still, gotta love it!
Another good song from Alice.
This is another show like From The Inside Record you’ll have to pay attention into the lyrics, the vocals, the rhythm and the video so you can understand Vincent’s real meaning.
Exactly! Listen to the words!
His name is Cooper, Alice Cooper.
@@Bondsback2325 I know but I love to call him by his real namw

Happy Pop Alice! Positive energy, we'll get used to it somehow.. i mean definitely!🤞

Alice Cooper at his best!!!!
This is fabulous without a doubt!
Love it!
Here's to to a better 2021! This record will definitely help.
"We got something against so much and it's only we're only beginning.. Our love will change the world"
Wow this completely describes what's going on in today's society. Seems like so many people are offended with everything and they want to force you into their way of thinking. Like in the song says "you may not like it now but you'll get used to it".
I love this video!🙌🏻
Alice is getting me through this fucking pandemic. I've been listening to his entire discography for months now.
This cherry is outrageous!
Finally a new one that's good... and its a cover.
Dali would LOVE!
Love It!!! Freaking Awesome! Different and quirky. It's a catchy little tune!
I REALLY like this song!
A brilliant warning, leaving things open for interpretation.
I wish we knew where they acquired those children's photographs and if they have permission. ;)
