Here they are... after a 25 year ban from 30 Rock. Its The Replacements on the Tonight Show.. this is history in the making. Paul Westerberg and co. were banned from SNL back in 1986 for profanity and being generous with the free booze backstage.
But they are BACK.. and bigger than ever -- with a new line up and a new tour. Here they are doing, "Alex Chilton" live !!!

A great band performing a great song about a great artist.
Was so lucky to see them twice (Riotfest Chicago, St Paul) in their reunion era, truly one of the most underrated bands of all time. Both shows gave me goose bumps.
The Midway Stadium show was just completely monstrous.
I was at Mats Day at St. Paul stadium. We went and visited Treehouse Records and CC Club across the street in our Twin-Tone tshirts before the show. #Tim

So NBC bans the replacements for singing "it's too late to take drugs, here we go", then invites them back 30 years later only to remove all existence of that performance from the internet (besides this cam rip)? I don't know what the 'mats did to piss NBC off again, but thanks anyway for.the upload.
I was madly in love with David Minehan in the Boston music scene in the early 80s what a great time to be in my ex was a soundman for a local band called The Upstarts - David Willis was the lead in the neighborhoods

Saw them back in the day up in New Haven CT....went to a bar before the show....saw them AT the bar and we bought them drinks...they left to do the show and me and my friends went to....good show but I was so blitzed I don't remember much! Ah...Youth!!!

Saw them three times in 91 on the East coast…..Baltimore, DC and Marriweather Post opening for Elvis Costello. We were drunks just like they were…..we were drinking Thunderbird before a couple shows. Met Paul and Tommy after DC show and tried to get in the bus but we were dudes.
Asked Paul what he was going to do and he said he and Tommy were going to open up a steakhouse. Sadly no pictures

I was at the free concert in Grant Park in Chicago and it was crazy. I think they broke up the next day.
