Making a Gymnastics Comeback 6 Years Later | BU Gymnastics

- Never did I think I would go back to gymnastics after quitting in high school and having to get wrist surgery... but here we are! This documents my journey joining the Boston University Club Gymnastics Team, relearning my skills, and competing at a few meets (including nationals in Albuquerque, New Mexico!). This was one of the best decisions I made in college and by far the most spontaneous. Let this be your sign that it's never too late to start something new or go back to something old ❤️
I plan on sticking with gymnastics for the rest of college so stay tuned for more of this journey!

I quit cheer because of a wrist injury even though it was one of my favorite things in the world, I’ve been doing mri’s, x-rays, physical therapy, and a bunch of doctor’s appointments and no can figure out what is causing me pain, I hope one day they can figure it out and I might be able to go back to cheer, I’m so happy for you that you found your way back to your sport ❤

In Platinum floor, you need 2 passes ... if you do a stand-alone acro skill it needs to be a B salto. With your RO-LO, you could do a front pike or a FHS-FT or a FHS (step-out) Roundoff or even a RO-BT.

6:45 I literally hate cartwheels so much when I was a level 4 I fell at most of my competitions because of the stupid cartwheel 😭 good luck on yours!

I can do cartwheels properly but I fall on them sometimes 😭😭

I’m trying to be a level 6/7 gymnast but a few weeks ago I lost my flyaway and back handspring on beam 😭 I’m close to my back handspring but I got an injury so I can’t do bars for a few weeks so I just do beam or vault while the others are on bars lol
I know the feeling of getting injuries all too well😭 hoping you’re about to get all the skills you need to compete!🥰
Thank you! Today I had practice and I did my backhand spring with small spot so I think tomorrow I might get it back!

Well I think that’s really good I’m turning 11 in august 2024 I live in the uk so I don’t really know about how levels work in America but I’m at the same kind of stage age as her when she came back but I can backwardwalcover and free cartwheel on beam

I quit gymnastics 11/19/23 because it wasn’t Gods will for me, instead I really love dance.
