I did dance for 7 years before switching to gymnastics for 6. My coaches recommended me for the competition team when I was 10, but my parents said it was too expensive. I tried out 3 years later and didn't make it because there were hardly any spots available, but that inspired me to work harder and longer. The next year I made the team! I had just turned 15 before I competed for the first time!

@@christianamandache2382 I was in silver, but had all of the gold requirements except for vault. I unfortunately only competed 1 year since I broke my back and it was recommended I not damage it further since my growth plates were hardening.
When she said that it was her gold meet i almost started to cry because I'm on gold and they cancelled states

Hey Tc2 I know you’ll probably never see this but you are a really big inspiration to me and I got my BHS from watching you so thank you so much.
I used to do dance for 8 years and I just left during Christmastime. I tried cheer and I loved it. I was supposed to compete but didn't get to because of Covid 19. So I never got to compete for cheer. This made my day because I got to see what a competition is like. :))

my first cheer competition was when I was 10yrs old!! It’s so crazy how the sport of cheer has changed since then 😱 fun fact I was on a Senior 4 the same year as Maggie!
apparently we're commenting our gymnastics stories so here's mine. i started gymnastics when i was around 8, i did one class and quit so i don't count that lmao. i started back up when i was 10 and did rec classes for half a year. i was brought onto excel gold after that but did not compete for an entire season because of an injury. the next season i had two gold meets and then was out in excel platinum. i had one meet in platinum and then our season was cancelled due to corona 😔🤚

I have learned a back handspring, front aerial, and ALMOST A BACK TUCK all from YOUR videos! I don't have a real gymnastics teacher so I always watch your videos and they work!
The first time I competed in an actual competition was when I was about 8 or 9, but we used to on pre-team when I was about 6 or 7

I never competed...Even though I was on a competition team! It's a complicated stoey, lol but my 1st meet was supposed to be when I was 11. Keep taking care of yourselves while social distancing!

Ok so people are commenting their gymnastics stories. I started when I was 5 but we moved away so I quit when I was about 7. When I was 9 I went for a lesson at a different gymnastics but quit after the second lesson. I am now 11 and I have been teaching myself since I was 8 and you have really helped me. I am going to search for a new gymnastics gym after quarantine and I can't wait!

I was self taught for my gymnastics/cheer and didn't compete cheer until my senior year when I was 17. However I did competitive baton twirling when I was younger which was super fun and my first competition was when I was 10.
