Truth to Power - OneRepublic Cover - Lounge Sessions 2023

The song “Truth to Power” originally by OneRepublic, is sung from the perspective of Earth reflecting on the impacts humans are having on its natural systems, notably climate change. The Arts have always served as a vehicle for the expression of self and community, and this is a song about climate change, and a call to action. Youth must have voice, choice, and agency when it comes to climate change activism, as the decisions of today will have an impact on the rest of this century and beyond.
This video is produced by Brockton School’s World Music Program. Every year we produce a series music videos which offer a different form of expression from our regular concert videos and highlight specific aspects of our program. This year’s series is the “Lounge Sessions”, featuring a cozy setting of friends making music together. Featured here is our choir group with students from grade 7 to 10.
