I remember when I attending my grandpa Higuera funeral they removed the poles on the east side of the road so the hearse could park there. The Madonna's paid for the families limousines and food for the reception afterwards. I was around 10 yrs old at the time. So it left quite the impression on me.
I took my family there last Sunday and snuck in before service! A gentleman was there that looked like the guy in this video not sure if it was him, but he said if we stuck around we can sneak in the church. Unfortunately we had to go before service started. But it was a real treat to see the mission! We love SLO!!!🥰
Nicely done! As a native Santa Barbaran who's gone through SLO many times over the years, I was embarrassed to realize recently that I've never visited the Mission there! Well, though I live in Northern Kentucky now, I look forward to rectifying that the next time I'm back in Cali to see family and friends!
Love seeing how the Mission has changed. Very interesting.
