Sega MegaDrive is NOT the Sega Saturn. The MegaDrive was the Genesis. The Sega Saturn was just called the Sega Saturn in the UK. That said, the REASON Sega went out of business is BECAUSE its hardware was a fucking bewildering clusterfuck, and they kept releasing new hardware, making people's new systems almost IMMEDIATELY outdated, and massively confusing people. @@kiki2badd510 Yea. Sega literally went out of business because NO ONE could keep track, and people stopped trusting them to support their hardware for any meaningful amount of time. AND they ALMOST released the Sega Neptune between the Saturn and the Dreamcast in 1995 . And you'd THINK that would mean it'd be MORE powerful than the Saturn. But no, it was going to be a combo of the Sega CD and the Sega 32x. So it was actually a step backwards. To use a similarly absurd 90s analogy: it was basically like the Ultrazord (the base unit plus BOTH of the separate branching upgrades simultaneously) version of the Sega Genesis, instead of the Thunder Megazord (the actual sequel hardware). They cancelled the Neptune because they realized that they were just overwhelming and confusing people, and driving people away.
19:00 wasn't someone canceled over something like that a few months ago, for speeding or something? I don't care either way myself, but it's confusing when folks are super cancel-happy for something that feels.... Middleing? I guess he recorded himself tho but I digress
I love watching codenames because you can learn so much about how other people think of and connect things
That last game was something
The reason it was salsa for pinocchio is because pinocchio means "pine-nut" in italian so pine-nut salsa is a food so thats why its connected.
29:08 oh. I thought it was brainwash

sega is still around just making games only
As a Sega fan growing up, it was indeed confusing. That said, the Sega Genesis is probably my favorite “old” console.
@@ieyke I was wondering why they really stopped making systems . They basically fumbled the bag
