Good video, explains what possesed the Swedes to design this little thing. they did NOT! They gave the job to the Italians! BUT I believe you are wrong to say that before 1964, Volvos were "BOXY". No they were not! The familiar boxy Volvos came LATER, in 1968 or so. Before 1964, there were CURVY Volvos, some bulky and some not, like the popular 122. They were NOT boxy AT ALL. Look them up and then correct and update this video, and ADD that this model had a more practical wagon like variant, one specimen of which has been driven three trillion miles by a guy called (f my memory is correct) Irving Gordon from NJ.
