Great video ! Thanks for sharing! How do you balance it if you have a bigger lens like a sigma 24-70mm f2.8.
I balanced it in the middle around 50mm and at the other focal lengths it seemed to get off balance. Do you have any suggestions ? Thanks
so for me I use mostly prime lenses and that's one of the main reasons because even though the motors can compensate for the extra weight, you basically have to rebalance once you change the zoom, so id say if you can find a lens that uses internal zoom or readjust each time you zoom in

Hi Dane, nice video. I bought ronin rs3 last week. After balanced, pan keeps turning left and right when shooting. Any idea how to stop that issue? Thanks in advance.
You can try checking the calibration status on the gimbal . Also do an auto tune after you’ve finished balancing so it can adjust the motor strength. Thanks for watching the video all the way through, hope you make some great content
Thank you for the video. I have the RS2. My problem is that I use an external monitor connected physically to the camera. And if I try to calibrate it, the cables will get caught in the gimbal. So is there a way to balance the camera with the cables, but calibrate it without? Thank you in advance
That’s a tricky one tbh, usually I’d suggest balancing with cables because any weight change will make a difference. What’s the total weight of the lens and camera combination ? Is it close to the maximum payload ?
How do you do the balance test? When I click on balance test it only shows turorials
With the gimbal off you can move it in a particular direction with the knobs unlocked if it doesn’t stay put then it’s not balanced. Also with the gimbal on it has status bars that go from green to red based on how off the balance is on the gimbal
