I was searching for this game FOR SOOO LOOONG. All I could remember were faint memories of The Beatles as Flowers and the beetle walls. I'm so glad i found this. I used to play this when i was 5, now I'm 23. The memories...
Same. So many of these jokes went over my head. The Puddle Bugs referencing the Beatles and the Monkey-stadors referencing conquistadors are just two of them.
I always suspected it because as a kid the Beatles were one of the few music artists I even knew of ... I just assumed without knowing their music or anything tho LOL. HOWEVER I am realizing now how the plot connects! The black pollution in the goo has to be from Limburger’s plane!! Never thought of that til now!
It's been almost 20 years since I played this, but the goo song at 56:34 just randomly played in my head during a dream the other day. Thanks for the nostalgia trip.
Oh my god, watching this guy play the beetle puzzles was literal torture. He was one step away from the flower and he TURNED THE WRONG WAY. THERE WAS A PLACE LITERALLY RIGHT ABOVE YOU.
Yeah but this is a game for 10 year olds no? I cringed at the final game with the nouns. Why was this so hard for the kid haha. He should have kept the blanks for last.
@@zxbryc Bruh, why are y'all so rude. This could've be a child you roasted who did their best. Do you not have a fast forward button on your smart device lol.

I used to be so terrified of Mathra, made me not play it for years. Then I played it and got over my fear. Figured out it was quite fun. Thanks for posting the full game. Brought back many memories of being homeschooled.
Y'know, I think the CRT monitor is what added a lot to it, that and our childish minds filling in most of the color more or likely. Seeing this on an LCD vs CRT it boggles the mind
You don’t know how happy I am right now. I loved these games when I was a kid. Spent like 2 hours just now trying to remember what the name was. I’m so happy watching this let’s play. THANK YOU!
I'm hyped there's so many people who feel the same exact way I do about this game 😭 Last played it when I was like 4 or 5, im 26 now. Just as cool as I always remembered
After YEARS of searching! I FOUND IT!!!!! I FOUND THE GAME! My childhood game, found at last. I played this when I was 5 or 6... Now I am 26 and my Niece can play it!
the nostalgia!! but i was way too young to be playing this haha i was in the 1st grade trying to play at a 3rd grade level and i didn't understand anything at all. i just kept clicking around until i got something right lol
Thats what I did with the fifth grade one. I was in kindergarten and when I did that one part where you have to solve math problems to make a bridge I would just try every single brick until I got something right
I played all of these in 1st and 2nd grade!!! Felt like a genius! The only one I never played was 6th grade ! I love how eerie these games were allowed to be. Abandoned carnivals? Dark toy stores? Ancient Egypt with mummies? This was better than anything Freddi Fish or Pajama Sam offered (if you played those as well)
Jesus. I never realized how old I was until now. Also, I’m amazed that these almost teenage kids don’t panic at animate stone statues, Beatles-like movable planets, spiders the size of a bear, etc
Doctor Pythagoras, Numerians, Monkeystadors...man, there were so many puns that I didn't get as a kid! And this game actually scared me as a child. Mathra was like my worst nightmare!
This takes me back. ❤❤ I played these games when I a kid. I always liked messing with the sneeze berries and listening to the songs other things wile I was playing.
I remembered a ton of the visuals from this game so long after I had played it way back when and it has been driving me crazy for literal years not knowing what game it was. FINALLY! I found it! Thanks for uploading this!
I am getting blown away by nostalgia. I remember playing this with my brother at are grandparents but never being able to finish it. The game would crash when we finished the beetle bag puzzles.
Was anybody else terrified of Mathra as a kid? Oh, God, that song about Mathra, too - "Do You Believe in Monsters?" I remember that scary music video you could watch. I would always come back to it and I don't know why. I suppose I loved the song because the images of this gigantic, winged beast snatching up wildlife kept me up at night. I vividly remember the end of the video when the two pieces of the keys come together, then it morphs into the silhouette of Mathra's face looking directly at you with an evil, malevolent gaze, no eyes to be found. Just black holes filled in with your now stolen innocence. "The only hope I see, Is that you find the two lost keys. Do you believe in monsters, LIKE MEEEEEEEE!!!" Ugh, geez. That still haunts me today at 30. Freaking over 20 years later. Mathra was what made me come back to the ClueFinders. Nothing else they did after that recaptured the fear and terror that thing caused me.
I once showed this game to my dad, and when Santiago said that robots don't eat lunch, my dad said "What? They're robots?" I told him that Santiago was referring to Laptrap, not himself and Joni.
Watching them try to solve the first Beatle puzzle just brings back memories of all my failed attempts as a kid lol now I can spot the path almost immediatly
After watching this again, I realized that instead of going through all the trouble for the key parts, they could have easily forced Limburger to fly them into the lost city. I mean they know you can fly over a wall, right? And yes, Limburger wouldn't have droped them of at the right spot, but they didn't know that he was evil. Sigh, I'm overthinking this. Anyway, thanks for uploading.
Am I the only one who thinks this game is super dark? I mean, it went over my head as a kid, but a grown man is luring kids into the remote jungle, kidnapping people, and poaching animals. WTH this is a kid's game!!!!
0:57 I swear I'd love to listen to the theme if someone could upload it here on UA-cam. I use to love this computer game all the time when I was young.
I loved this game when I was a kid! Most of the CD games my sister and I played were educational because our parents instilled in us how important A's were on report cards. Man, I miss my childhood!
+Gonzalo Orive Villa I was more amazed by the beetles' color-and-shape-matching games. I was both internally laughing *and* crying at how long it was taking him.
The best trick I learn when going through Goo falls when I was little was that I look at the bugs that where in the bag then look at the top panels where the beetle can eat the flower. Start from that tile and work your way down
This was my shit when I was younger. This brings back so much nostalgia. It only took me a vague google search to find this. Ahhhh. I remember so much about this.
The first time I played this, I was in kindergarten. Despite that, I still understood how to play this game in terms of what to do. I still find enjoyment out of this game today. Playing it as a kid, it was an educational experience. Playing it as an adult, I find it to be a HUGE relief off my mind after a long work week and sees it as a way to put it at ease.
holy shit after searching for so long i finally found what game i played as a kid..i remember how hard it was and how nice i thought the graphics were LMAO. NOSTALGIA AFFFF
Was this game a little too hard for you? Because it seems like you made some really basic ass mistakes. Like....the first falls took you forever. All you had to do was click on the tiles.
Nice Job Lingyan on the Goo Wall! :) You had the first wall, then one wall was really tricky. But then you starting to get it, then you got it all the way to the top for the gold wall. nice job once again!
Really enjoyed playing this game as a kid (the French version). If they made these kinds of games as entertaining and educational for more advanced Math topics, like Calculus, I definitely would choose that over Khan Academy or other sources, assuming it's efficient.
Riding a sweet sweet wave of nostalgia- all the way to I Spy Spooky Mansion, Pajama Sam, Putt Putt, Reader Rabbit and to GBA games like Sims Bustin' out and Super Mario World 2 :') So wonderful.
Playing this game the summer before 3rd grade seemed so HARD, obviously now it would be a piece of cake. Getting Cluefinders (and Reader Rabbit in elementary school) was the highlight of the end of the school year for me. I still have the 3rd/4th grade disks but they went through hurricane Katrina so their usability is questionable lmao
Once we got to the walls in goo lagoon in had to skip forwards due to you do not have to pick up the beetle but just click the next tile and I just could not watch with frustration.
The beetle wall part was so frustrating it was hilarious- I genuinely RAGED when you went the wrong way at 1:24:57. I know in the comments you said it was because you hadn't played before, but part of me suspects you were intentionally fucking with us lol
After 3 hours of google searches. I found the most nostalgic game. God life was so easier then.
Where did you find it
use too play this at every Library that i could find
I got this on my first search, I feel really lucky

This game is the best. Although back then the graphics felt much much better haha
They still are
I never made the connection as a kid that The Puddle Bugs (or whatever that goo lagoon band is called) was referencing The Beatles the entire time...
A few years before SpongeBob revamped the whole concept of "Goo Lagoon".
Yeah, and the Puddle Bugs say they live in Liver Puddle, a reference to Liverpool, the city in England.
It's been almost 20 years since I played this, but the goo song at 56:34 just randomly played in my head during a dream the other day. Thanks for the nostalgia trip.
Lol so wired after so many years and you hear that song, so the song brought you here to the game

"BEETLES"
said the plants who look suspiciously like John, Paul, Ringo and George
I always thought the plants looked like the beetles... omg I get it... they look like the beetles telling you to get beetles.
So...GET THEM!?
I loved that part of this.
I wish they made games like this, but for calculus.

Same here. Took my babysitter three hours to beat the last area.
Kali Takumi lmao
Casey Johnson your baby sitter is bad
My lil sister and I beat the whole game w/o much English knowledge
Yea funny thing is you never ended up playing it again
I do hope they bring these kind of games to Steam, It will be so awesome to play them again! So much nostalgia! :)
literally!
This deserves a feature film.

Did anyone else super ship Joni and Santiago!?!?
Kelsey Kramer I did big time. In my head they are totally married now.

The plants called their home Liverpuddle, just like The Beatles from Liverpool. I used to think that they were voiced by the actual Beatles.
Anyone notice the "My Fair Lady" reference at 52:30?

Literally !!
holy shit after searching for so long i finally found what game i played as a kid..i remember how hard it was and how nice i thought the graphics were LMAO. NOSTALGIA AFFFF

Such a bloody great game that I thought I hallucinated, glad to have found it
Sneezeberries! So nostalgic. I loved this game so much.
I remember rushing home from school to play these. #nostalgia
Was this game a little too hard for you? Because it seems like you made some really basic ass mistakes. Like....the first falls took you forever. All you had to do was click on the tiles.
Lol. I was literally yelling at my screen for the majority of this video.
fucking same
Watching you do the puzzles on Goo Falls was really frustrating.
God the novelty of a video phone back in the day. Why is there not an educational pbs series like cyber-chase based on this franchise?
omg i used to think this game was SO HARD!

the grandma spiders lmao my favorite part when I was a kid

Why was I in such a rush to grow up when I was young 😔
It takes me all these years to realize the plants at 56:34 were based off The Beatles.

At 9:53, I always thought that blue plant’s sneeze sounded exactly like veteran voice actor Mel Blanc’s classic Looney Tunes character voices lol
So these genius Numerian inventors built an entire city but couldn't figure out how to kill a dragon? Pretty flimsy story, Mr. Limberger.
I always thought as a kid that LapTrap sounded exactly like Timon from The Lion King.
So why don't they make games like this for kids anymore?🤔🤔🤔
I will pay good money to bring this back
