Protodroid DeLTA - Think Megaman, but 3D
Boulette Hell - Really well done bullet hell game
Super Adventure Hand - Very experimental 3D platformer
Unmurk - Great concept, very relaxing puzzle

Shadows of Doubt is another hidden gem in this Next Fest. It is an immersive noir detective game that is more arcady than others. The city, victims, suspects, and evidence for each playthrough are randomly generated. My favorite part of this game is the stealth aspects it has. Each playthrough is anywhere between 10 and 30 minutes.

dust & neon is the best for me. I've tried a lot of demos there
I Am Future. A post-apocalyptic survival builder that is pretty relaxing to play, low on combat that takes place in a lush environment? Seems like it wouldn't work as well as it does, but throw in a disassembling system and a cool way to harvest resources, and you're looking at a great podcast game and a lot of time fishing.
ah so many builders this next fest; I do love survival builders!
