When the writers create characters who are so useless, stupid, weak, etc, that you don't care what happens to them, and the sooner they get knocked off the better, you know you've got writers who don't know how to write, create characters worth caring about and pulling for. There's a lack of heroes, which makes the writing even more ridiculous. This should have been a thrilling story! I just wanted it over, so I could watch something different. I can't stop in the middle of a movie or story, have to finish it, but I'm hoping how soon it'll pass.

Caught onto that within the first six minutes. Best parts of the movie that I did see were the man and woman getting bumped off by the lightning, and the dingbat who was kidnapped because of her foolish inattentiveness. I figure it can only get worse, so I'm not watching any further.
All Linda had to do in order to survive the opening scene was, drum roll please...use the driver side door. He just got out of it. Lol

The passenger must exit the vehicle by means of the appropriate door on their side. The car is not designed for the occupants to use the door on the opposite side.

Most of the South American, European, Asian, African nations have the driver side on the left and the passenger side on the right like North America which is Canada, USA and Mexico have all the same driver and passenger side positions. I quite enjoyed it and I don't suffer bad B movies. Not Top Notch but watchable. And Yes the lightening has a large roll, whomever said it didn't earlier? - Just no high school geek with an iPad saving the world from the storm this time, thus not a disaster movie genre -nice combo tho

"Mega Lightning" and the girl at 18:47 says. "I hate thunder". Why do people still get this mixed up...
If lightning is coming it makes perfect sense to remark that you hate thunder, one comes with the other, noone is mixing the two up. I've never heard anyone mix them up so I'm not sure what you are on about lol.
30:30 Actually a car is the safest place to be in that case. There is the lowest probability where the ligthning will strike. It is insulated from the ground, and functions as a faraday cage.

A pretty creepy movie. The lightning really is incidental to the real story of the psycho. Not really a disaster film but did provide some gruesome deaths a la lightning.
What are the facts? Make a decision. Do it. That´s how the Military / the Police all over the world work. Just follow these 3 Rules and don´t forget to do what you decided! It´s fairly simple or not? Don´t forget to do your best while your at it. .....and run or fight.....(don´t fight and run/run and fight, you fight the fight to the end, so you don´t have to run OR run so you don´t have to fight) it´s only my opinion with alls respects. But that makes crazy situations simple again. Simple enough, so everybody can understand and handle a difficult situation in a simple way. One last thing maybe: Don´t loose your sense of humor while you´re at it....helps me anyway......

This has got to be the worst disaster movie I have ever seen or very clever as it left me wondering if the writers or director made the characters ignorant and stupid on purpose so that the audience were forced to watch to the end just to see if it would get any better or to elicit audience participation i.e. yell at the screen telling the characters what and what not to do as I noticed that the actors deliberately did something stupid or took their time in performing a task.

Oh my gosh, right from the beginning its a fail. They are already screaming at the lightening before it hits the tree then in the car, the blonde can't open her car door, so instead of saving herself by scooting over to the diver's door, she goes down into the hole to her death, hahahahahahahaaaa
