I found out that Lou Diamond Phillips is actually Scottish, Irish, American Indian and Filipino. The first three that I mentioned is on his father's side, and that his mother is Filipino. He is a very handsome man though, and a really good actor, and that folks is what counts the most.

Hours later, at 32:25, the chainsaw is still revving instead of idling! And, would have run out of gas by then. The farmer at 27:34 had plenty of time to roll between tractor wheels instead of screaming. Farmers are tougher and smarter than little girls! At 1:11:28, they should check for broken legs before saying, "Let's get him up." Why didn't the vortex stop over the largest magnetite deposit? Why didn't they tell everyone in Philly and Paris to turn off all their electronic devices to minimize damage from the EMP bombs? Drones are made of ABS, polycarbonate, polypropylene, carbon fiber, aluminum, titanium, magnesium alloys, and plastic, none of which are subject to magnetic fields! So, why was the drone torn apart before before it reached the vortex!
Chainsaws are made of more than just aluminum!! For example, air hardening steel, stainless steel, high impact steel, bearing steel & the list goes on.

I am a disaster movie addict, but somehow missed seeing this film before. Nothing in life is perfect, including this film, but it was entertaining. Also, the energy concept, and the disaster that came from not doing enough pretesting are believable within the framework of the movie. I am puzzled by the criticism over the lead actor looking Mexican while his son looks white. Hey, dingalings! Perhaps the non present mother was anglo, or perhaps a grandparent was. I can think of several other ways that this combo would come about, as well. Stop obsessing over a racially related non issue. It makes those who do look racist, and thats not a good look. Either enjoy the show, or turn it off! I enjoyed the show!😊
